| I was actually expecting something that is even worse, will they go into more detail as to how much Azami traumatises Erina? I just cant seem to sympathise that much with Erina...or at least as much as the other polar star dorm people do? Curious as to what is this "utopia" or "dystopia"... is it going to just be a different spin to "elitism"? Omg Erina saw a glimpse of Joichiro in Yukihira! XD Cant wait to see what will her reaction be when she finds out they are father-son! Interested in the backstory between Erina and Joichiro... Hmm it's kind of a typical shonen thing when one of the characters finds the protagonist to ask for his help to rescue the damsel-in-distress, so I was kind of disappointed in this.. :/ Nevertheless I'm interested in why the director chose to approach Yukihira when there are other people he could've (Alice/Hisako??). Also interested in why Joichiro asked the director to enroll Yukihira in Totsuki... Joichiro is so mysterious lol XD And the beginning...is that a hint we'll see Joichiro having a role in the storm that is to come in Totsuki??? That'll be cool XD I'd love to see his cooking skills~ |

| Now it all makes sense why Erina behaves like this and why she "hates" her sister. It's so great that they saved her, i hope she will live now with them. Really glad that they accepted her in such a warm way, now she will understand the real meaning of food, the love for food and of course she will find some great new friends and she will really enjoy it, and it will make her stronger to challenge her father. And obviously Souma will help her xD |

| Well as for me, I don't like this episode. I'm not used to how a lively show turned to a family drama. I hope there's going to be an interesting twist on the next episode. |

Dang that's crazy :O Obviously his uh, training methods were super harsh ... seems like he's really set on splitting "food" from "trash" >_< Some nice fanservice shots of Erina and I loved Alice in this episode :D Of course Ryou too lol. I totally suspected they'd go to the dorm :P Nice to see everyone being so welcoming to her lol. As for her not realizing Souma is Jouichirou's son ... | "Traumatic" backstory lacks impact truth be told, only intimidating part is how the dad looks like some serial murderer and/or stalker and/or rapist. I hate him and when he's on the screen doing some creepy shit my enjoyment goes down to 0, even more so when Erina is basically being mindcontrolled and do nothing to stop shit. Hope this arc with this dude goes by fast. Daddy's ideal is trash, it's like a high class product that will only appeal to the rich people and shun out all the poor. Like they say at the end, it's only going to split the culinary world into two. Delicacy is a joy, a passion, not something like a law to be enforced. |

| It looks like Azami was forced to be in the plot for the sake of an antagonist. He was the 3rd seat back and there were never indications of his existence until now. We know more about Erina's past and they did their best to hate Azami but he's still looks like a generic villain lol. And wtf throwing away food is not traumatic for a rich family, it feels funny rather than sad. |

| Erina's childhood dream was to become a great chef just like Joichiro and her whole life's pretty much revolved around food so I can see why throwing away perfectly edible dishes as if they were trash affected her so much as a child. Forcing your own radical viewpoint onto your child while cutting them off from everyone they hold dear so they wouldn't interfere is just not the way to do things. While it was great to see that Erina's getting along with everyone in Polar Star, it looks like there will be a great purge in Totsuki where only the strongest may remain soon. Azami should join Master Chef US with that bald guy who throws away dishes lmao |

| Erina's dad's quite the specimen eh. Gone from literally food wars to parental drama and politics, don't know how to feel about that. The motives seem really meh too. At least learning more about how he mistreated and used Erina in the past does explain some behavioral issues that Erina displayed so far in the whole series, particularly with someone like a Soma. That kind of guy's basically his father's worst enemy as a chef. |
