| Lol, Urusei as a scientist. She looks great in anything including a lab outfit. Looks like the episode involved a lipstick segment and Ryuunsuke having those lips bought out a more feminine side of hers. Even compared to other episodes, this one really made Ataru's life look like madness. |

| Lum being a scientist to research on lipstick, and making one suitable for Ataru, she's on her best moods. Of course, Ataru can sense that Lum's lipstick has some magic imbued into it, and sure enough it does, and he kept it for himself, trying to hook up with any girl that he finds fancy, even Ryunosuke, the girl that is the furthest away from being girlish and trying for a kiss. The moment this lipstick is on someone, hijinks ensue for strong attractions, and both Ataru and Shutaro got the kiss that they were not hoping for. Just because of one lipstick, this is total mayhem of hilarity lols. The next class recreation: Yaminabe, or food russian roulette, and Lum would try her scientific experiments once again to entice Ataru, and it's one living hell of burnt lips. Ataru wanting to learn about Lum's likes and dislikes, and uses Ten to get the food that she dislikes, and fast. But being 10 days long, his alternate to see her consume Earth food like normal, and turns out that Earth food is mild in flavour, only except if it's on Ataru. And immediately, there is one: the strong garlic breath from gyoza, but immediately neutralized by the air freshener. Seeking no chances, Ataru tries it raw during the yaminabe session, and the ingredients...are weird to say the least lols. Ten might've arrived with the chomchomp late, but he didn't really need to bring in the 1st place. Pretty funny episode, really, it's a shame that discussion levels are going lower than ever. |

| Damn! Was that a Breaking Bad reference?! And also, that opening recap narration by Cherry is something I thought we'd never see. It reminds me of Ranma 1/2. Is it gonna be in every episode from now? Also, that scene contained a lot of girls from the manga who didn't appear in the Remake. I guess a cameo is the best thing we'll get for these one-off characters. This episode surpassed my expectations in almost every way. The music, the animation, the direction, the joke delivery nearly everything about it was perfect. But I still have one thing to complain about. This episode adapted the Yaminabe chapter, something the original anime didn't adapt. So this was the first Remake episode that adapted a manga-only chapter (the lipstick chapter was adapted in episode 110 of the OG). Normally I'd be excited about that and I still am. My complaint comes from the fact that David Pro skipped the Valentine's Disillusion chapter. It should've been an easy pick. So Idk why they decided to skip it alongside the Tanabata Date chapter. I expected at least a post-credits scene or something. But oh well. The rest of the episode was so good that I think I can forgive some of these odd choices. Who knows, they may be saving some of these chapters for Season 2 (copium). Anyways, next week it's Margarita time. I didn't realize it at first but this was my 2000th forum post on this site! I'm glad it was Urusei Yatsura. Cos Urusei Yatsura was one of the first things that inspired me to write these posts. |

| What a lively start to the day for Ataru. So the lipstick was one that would compel the one that wore it to kiss Lum then. Kinda cruel for him to take advantage of Ryunosuke though. That lipstick was damm strong though and it sure caused quite the chaos as well. The yaminabe challenge though was quite the curious one. |

| Lol I’d probably say this was one of the weaker UY eps. The lipstick gag at the beginning was funny but the second half fell a little flat for me. Next week looks like it’s gonna be really fun tho. Hoping for a s2 as well, looks like they’re saving some stories. |

| I wished that song playing in the background while Lum was making the lipstick would have gone on a little bit longer because it sounded so good. That whole sequence reminded of a scene from Interstella 5555 where the captured aliens were turned into the Crescendolls. |

| I was really into this when it first started, but as it goes on, I find it's starting to wear on me. I feel it's better in smaller doses. OPs and EDs still fire though, listen to then everytime. |

| First off, absolutely loved the cameos of the girls we probably aren’t gonna see in this show, I recognized several of them from how far I am into the original like the flower girl and the book girl, as well as that teacher and the girl from episode 69 that I recall perfectly for obvious reasons lol, I remember that episode had great backgrounds, a shame we won’t see their episodes in the remake but this was nice to see. I really loved the lipstick part, it’s a bit I haven’t gotten to the in the OG yet but I really liked it here, that 80s music video of Lum making that lipstick was killer, and apparently that is an 80s song they played from what I’ve heard, that slapped, love details like that. And yeah of course Mendou and Ataru would end up kissing lol, those punches from Ryuunosuke are just as good as kisses if you ask me tho, and Lum looked very good with the lipstick as well. And then came the Yaminabe bit, which I was surprised to find out wasn’t adapted in the original so that makes it even more interesting, I really liked this bit too, it was reminiscent of an episode from the original that also involved a soup using a lot of different foods, they all got high in that one tho lol. And of course that food Lum hates called “chompchomp” lives up to its name, on that planet the food eats you lol. |

EP14 second part (when Ryoko thinks that Tobimaro sent her a love letter) EP15 third part (when Ataru is given a lying potion instead of a love potion) and maybe EP12 first part (when Ten is introduced and later Sakura, Lum, Ran and Shinobu in their kimonos are playing a game with the cards) There is also that small section in an earlier episode (edit: it's EP03 second part) when Shutaro in his parachute tangle up in Lum and they both fall over Ataru and Shinobu (who were discussing on the ground below them) Adverse Effects was Episode 188 "Darling Said He Loved Me" in the original. I guess Ten's debut episode "Ten is Here" was different enough to be considered brand new. The original anime had to change it a lot because Ten appeared way early in episode 2, before the debut of Sakura and Ran. Episode 3 only adapted a small scene rather than the whole chapter so I wouldn't count that. A lot of the Remake episodes mix and match from different chapters which is not too dissimilar to what the 1981 anime did. |

| Such a great episode premise that exudes 90s anime gag. Magnetic lipstick! Lum was desperate to get a kiss from Ataru, and Ataru from any girl nearby! With that lipstick being introduced to the love spiral that is the classroom, we got some really funny interactions. Second half was great as well. Learning how Lum views earth food, and her most disliked alien dish as well! I also have to mention that Akane look alike was a pretty great sight too! |

| The past few episodes have had far too predictable punchlines, like sometimes minutes before they happen predictable. I think the set pieces in general have been quite weak as of recent and the times where i have liked the set up like the wish granting star they dont escalate it as much as it could of. |

| This episode is easily the best episode in the second cour so far. It has all elements that make UY great, especially the sheer amount of wackiness, insert song and the sci-fi gags which are sorely missing in the remake. I thought one weak point of this episode is the brief recap of Ataru being the unluckiest guy part. It's just that his unluckiness is supposed to be only in the earlier episodes or chapters. Since they cut out a lot of his relationship progression, they just put all of that unluckiness crap just to fill the time length since the lipstick chapter is pretty short. This time they only adapt one worth chapter for each half so its pacing feels right and not too crazy rushed or cut like the two previous episodes. Too bad, most of the stories that the one-off girls in the brief sequence of the recap will be cut out from the remake except for the last three in the silhouettes. The rain girl, cannibal one and Wendy are quite good and interesting. I love the sequences of Lum making the lipstick inside her spaceship with a very 80's song playing in the background. It showcasing her brilliance as a very scientific and intelligent girl. Speaking of which the title of the first half Kienai ruuju majiku!!(Indelible Lipstick Magic!!) is basically a pun of that song's title I-ke-nai Rouge Magic!! which is pretty funny. We still got Atamen kissing forced by the magic lipstick which also leads to chaos outbreak from the school. I think the OG episode ep 110 is still funnier but this itself is fine. And for the second half, it's pretty cute. I only remember Ataru is trying to figure out what kind of food Lum dislike. But turns out he only wants to get back at her because of her alien food. Spice lovers definitely should try chugging one bottle of Habanero like Lum. And this episode also emphasize why she always insist on putting chilli or spices to the food is because earthlings food are too mild or tasteless for aliens. They surely put Akane casually walking on the street and then get the garlic breath from Ataru. Damn out of all food that the students put on the pot, why would someone put a sandal in it lol. It only ends up adding to Lum's disliked food and it's inedible. At last Ten brings a baby Chomper from PvZ only ends up chomping him. Makes sense why you don't want to become the one that is eaten alive. The whole idea of Yaminabe is kind of reminding me of UY itself which is a melting pot of slapsticks, school hijinks, romcom, sci-fi gags, folklores and Japanese cultures all mixed into one pot of chaos and madness. The next episode will also explore another Lum's physiology as an alien which is great. It would be nice if they include another insert song like Margarita though for this part next week. |

So let's say it's two new episodes then, the small section was just a little short cadeau (unfortunately the better part was removed, whem Lum dyed her hairs in black, softened the horns and showed up in the classroom as a regular schoolgirl :) Yes but I think there was a good reason for that to be removed. Lum disguises herself as a schoolgirl for the first time in chapter 25. And in the very next chapter she disguises herself as a human AGAIN as Kumino Otoko. So it kind of loses its novelty. Besides, Lum admits to Tomobiki High properly just a few episodes later. One chapter that I do miss though is Chapter 36 Tanabata Date. They might've skipped it because the Remake treats Kosuke like an extra. He was never called by his name. Which is a shame. |

| For the ones that like to bother others (like me) with "you should read the manga/LN", please stop. I don't read mangas, I will NOT read mangas, I will not listen to what manga readers complain in adaptation to the anime counterpart, I only watch anime except in very few and specific situations. |
