| If SHAFT can adapt the source material well (pretty great manga), this is going to be the highlight of Winter 2010. And it is SHAFT, so I can almost guarantee a good adaptation. |

| I'm expecting a lot from this, so I hope it won't disappoint. Reasons being the manga is really good, it's SHAFT, and Mina Tepes is not just a cute loli. Of course, I don't think it will be extraordinary (i.e. better than Nodame) but disregarding that, it should be one of the best shows next season has to offer. It better be. |

| I have high expectations considering the studio/director. I loved Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and Bakemonogatari is awesome so far. I'm sure I'll like this if it is half as good as either of those. |

| At first, I thought this is another vampire ecchi anime but.. The story seems to involve terrorism and assassination along the lines of typical mecha animes. Not sure what to expect.. |

| There's far more politics and romance than sexuality. And most of what sexuality is there is more for shock or drama value rather than enticing purposes. This show probably has(well will have, if it's true to the manga), less ecchi scenes than Gurren Lagann. I swear if Shaft weren't on the tin, people would just be writing it up far worse than they are not. In fact, it's quite sad how many people who haven't read the manga say it's only likely to be any good due to SHAFT. I mean, I'm not anti-SHAFT person or anything. I just think it's overhyped. I'm happy that it's helping to ease the negative prejudgments people are having about this anime. But it's sad that the SHAFT label is so helpful for that. It just makes it seem like everyone wants to run away from anything with Vampire and Lolis. Which I don't like in the slightest. Studio loyalty is a good thing. I just don't like the way people talk about things sometimes. |
