| Looks like this episode is another one associated with death and how the past connects to the present. This episode was kinda depressing seeing how a princess has to be saved yet again but also resolved through emotions. |

| SUPERPOWERRRRRS!!! The evil dude really just have talked first, before threatening someone, Jiujiu of all people, as it turned out there was always a helping hand ready for him. And what a nice tea time, our heroine have, finally she's wearing something other than her usual emo attire or her bum atire. |

| Another phenomenal episode packed with a lot of drama and emotion. I was so worried about Jiu-Jiu after last week’s cliffhanger but turns out “evil” luan sorcerer is actually a really good guy who just wants to be at peace with his betrothed. A common theme in this series. I’m glad he was finally able to pass on peacefully. Angry Shoxue stole the show for me, though. She was about to go all out on him lol It’s good seeing Shoxue gradually opening herself up to the world and to other people. Telling Jiu-Jiu to get some rest, wearing the Emperor’s hairpin and sitting down for tea are all things the Shoxue we saw in episode 1 would’ve never done. Can’t wait to see where else her character goes. Anime of the season. |

| Bingyue is not as bad as I thought before, in fact, he is a very good guy. He was appearing to be like an evil sorcerer at first. But apparently, he just wants to reunite with his lover again. |

| Putting the story aside for a moment the beauty of some of the household goods, background objects and jewels are out of this world. Whoever designed them has obviously put a lot of effort and imagination into dreaming up their form and colors. It is even possible that they are based on or simply copies of real historical decorative objects. For example when I saw that unglazed ceramic incense burner with the traced bara design I just had to stop the anime for a moment. |

| Luan Bingyue may have possessed Jiu-jiu to do his bidding, but don't ever underestimate Shouxue for her magic powers. That said, having Gaojun defend her actions is also a good reality check. The interracial marriage of fidelity was taboo within the Luan family, and Bingyue wanted it with Princess Mingzhu to uphold that tradition that's now forbidden. Solving his problem, however, requires a level of certainty with all of the evidence they've learned so far from the ghost of the willow tree, and the magic guise on Mingzhu brought the willow chapter into a full circle, finally being reunited together in spirit. Shouxue tryng to escape outside of Ningguang Palace to help allay Gaojun's ghostly sightings from the curse that the Empress Dowager had inflicted on him, and both his mother and Ding Lan were defenders against any of harm's way that could come to him, he's relieved of his bad nightmares. It's obviious that Shouxue is starting to have an affection for Gaojun (even wearing the hairband that he got for her), and her tea-time with Huaniang a.k.a the Flower Princess was conservative. Gaojun and Shouxue swearing an oath to be the new Summer and Winter kings, he's upholding not only tradition, but utmost respect as well for the generations past. Shouxue may be known as the Raven Consort, but in front of Gaojun, all tradition is broken, and a friend is gained in trust. A well-constructed episode. |

| Was kinda anti-climatic the Bingyue ordeal, but was great to measure a little more the King of Winter powers. He forced his hand but at least the motives were pure. Most of the troubles of the previous episodes were resolved, now is see this Master Feng guy and apprentice thing. |

| The recurring issue I find with this show is that it's too "ambitious", or in other words, sets up too much, and finishes the plot lines too quickly. The cliffhanger with Bingyue's possession of Jiujiu last episode left me quite excited for this episode, but today, it wrapped up that plot line way too quickly. Is the writing bad? Not exactly, it's more the execution that hurts my enjoyment here. There are so many characters, so many relationships, so much lore, but how much do I care about all of it? Not a whole lot, if I'm being honest. The ending to each plot thread has felt very meaningless, and as such, I feel like with every episode that passes by, I get more and more checked out on this series. I want to like this, I really do! That said, Gaojun and Shouxue's evolving relationship is still intriguing to see, along with the aesthetics. I will temper my expectations a bit here as we go along, hopefully there's something to look forward to here. |

| I've watched quite a few anime and it is a rare sight to see a hostage situation be dealt with so abruptly. Shoxue didn't waste no time. I can respect that. No wonder Mingzhu was staring down all that time. It may have been just a comb he gave her to him but it was priceless to her even after death. Now that Bingyue (thought he was going to be the final boss) and Empress Dowager have been dealt with what comes next remains a mystery for now. |

| shouxue is OP af. never make her angry. another couple reunited and sent to paradise. ding and emperor's mum were protecting him even after their death. shouxue is slowly but steadily forming relationships. hopefuly this solitude of raven consorts will come to an end with shoxue. friendship is a great step although i was hoping for a more romantic relationship. there's no rush, just hoping that the emperor and shouxue break the curse that war starts because winter and summer king fall in love. 5/5 episode. i'm not really sure who's name is what so that post-credit is a little confusing. it feels like i've heard that name before but can't say for sure. |

| Make no mistake, this show is all about the romance. The Emperor has a great plan. First get into the friend zone and earn her trust. I love the reminders that our Raven Consort is only 16 years old: her hot temper, the ease with which she is embarrassed, her love of sweets and pastries. Looking forward to the English translation of the light novels. |
| Shouxue has come out of her shell, it's nice to see her be more outgoing. She ended up helping a couple and also the emperor by getting rid of the curse that Empress Dowager left behind just prior to her execution. As I suspected, the emperor changed some laws for the better and I think him and Shouxue may become closer than friends. |

| Alright, I thought the sorcery Liam was a villain, but he turned out to be a love-stricken man who loves his aunt (hate the incest factor). Anyway, they both reunited and moved on to heaven. Oh my, I loved Jusetsu’s overwhelming power as the Winter King. (Don’t you dare piss her off!) Jusetsu goes and removes the curse placed on Koushun, who has been protected by his mom and Ding Lan’s ghost. Jusetsu is then invited by that sweet consort, and damn, she looks so cute when she sees lots of different kinds of food. Jusetsu is more like a foodie who never got introduced to food 🤣🤣🤣. Jokes aside, she is happy to be able to try new foods. Koushun comes and makes a few promises with Jusetsu, and wants to be her friend while also treating her as the Winter King when they are alone. It was such a nice gesture for him to show respect for all the previous Raven Consorts as the former Winter Kings. I loved his character at that point. Jusetsu is a very cute and strong protagonist. I love her 😍 more than any other character in this entire season of animes. Aileen and Elianna come next. These three animes seem female oriented and me being a female, am enjoying it without a doubt. Preview - The white haired sorcery man’s master is alive and gives his name to another guy. Suspicious. |

| A bit disappointed that the ghost prince turns good(and weak) so quickly and then send to heaven with his *cough* auntie. This ep feels things are moving rather fast.... Oh well next one |

| Goddamn, did not expect Shouxue to go ham like that, but I loved it. Definitely felt like a season finale kind of episode, a lot happened, a lot was resolved. I am wondering what's next. I am curious about that dude at the end though, dude looks dead inside. Honestly thought Bingyue was going to be a main villain, but he was no match for Shouxue and he just had issues as well. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| Honestly, this anime is getting better and better with each episode. The slow build and development of bonds/friendships contrasting with the somewhat episodic and "rushed" nature of it (.e. things are getting resolved quite fast)... It might seem somewat odd and contradicting but it works surprisingly well. The BMG was particularly splendid in this ep. Also, Shouxue is a great MC. |

| The love story was tragic, atleast they passed on together. So the emperor's mother and friend was protecting him... Jusetsu and Emperor slowly getting closer. I like their interactions. Jusetsu eating is just adorable. |

| I'm honestly a bit disappointed with this episode because I thought Bingyue had an important role for Jusetsu.. In the previous episodes Bingyue was shown as if he was an evil character who seemed like he would interfering with Jusetsu's life as a Raven Consort but apparently... he just wanted to ask Jusetsu for help by using Jiujiu and one other person before her. But yeah, even with the Bingyue case, I'm quite happy to see Jusetsu's power that she has never shown before. I'm also glad to see Jusetsu opening up more and more to Jiujiu and the Emperor~~ she had a little tea party with the Flower Princess too! ♡ "Raven Consort" is not alone anymore, she has three friends now ♡♡ |

I almost missed this anime, I thought thinking it was a chinese production. Doesn't matter, it's good! Really liking how the story will being told, how the lore is being dropped since the beginning and then being recontextualized latter. Also, the characters not just talk, they have "conversations". |
