| Swimsuits and fan service...yup, we got the episode! Plus, we got to see Ittoki finally getting some break and tbh, he deserves it. Getting out of the ninja school environment is relieving after all the stuff he's been through since. Pacing should probably pick up again. |

| to think i would get to hear the line, "those who don't work, don't eat" two times today while watching an episode of two different animes. we've been half-way through the season but still this has remained mediocre at best, entertaining but yes mediocre. the way this is going it's getting painfully obvious that Kirei is gonna change parties and side with Ittoki. i can only sense this after they showed her painfull past and stuff. kousetsu definitely wins the award for looking best in swimsuit. i wonder what yumika wanted to tell ittoki. she had a serious expression, must be something important. tokisada is such bad ass. |

| Yumika's a great chief, Iga depends on her a lot. Kousetsu in swimsuit was nice. Pretty peaceful episode but things are about to get messy. |

| Good episode even though there wasn't much action. We learned a bit about Kousetsu's past, that she was abandoned and Yumika and Iga clan adopted her. So now I see why she's so loyal to Yumika and protects her son. I hope that Kirei turns on her old clan or at least confesses to either Ittoki or the Iga clan as to what she's been up to. Things are slowly building up and it looks like there's possible turmoil within the group that Shione is working for. Side note, I find it funny how Tokisada knows he's being followed by Shione and offered her some grilled sweetfish in this episode. |

| Yay! Swimsuits! Fishing with friends is a great way to take a break and form bonds. I think the blonde chick is slowly starting to open up to Ittoki and might change her mind about betraying him. The family dinner at the iga village was pleasant to watch. It really shows that everyone in the iga village are like family. No wonder why Yumika wants to protect it. She wants to carry on her husband's will and protect the village for him. |

| well, chapter 6 and I still wonder why they didn't give him anything that makes the protagonist stand out, he is a flat and very bland character who is still impressed by everything as if it were chapter 1, and well, the security of the mansion of the IGA is bad, there are no sentinels as if they were blindly trusting that no one could enter their territory, the blonde went on and off as she pleased and nobody noticed. Tokisada is the most charismatic character in this anime, whether broken or not, he is the most consistent of all and does what he has to do. |

| Finally getting more of the backstory and I'm already wondering if his father didn't kill the Kouga head who probably got taken out by someone who wanted to keep the status quo vs. the visionary direction the assassinated Kouga leader was going to implement. And then there was that scene where his mom grabs the sword, calms everyone down and takes command of the situation. This might be the first time in the anime that I finally LIKED her. That one thing alone should have earned a lot of people's respect. It's pretty clear the Kouga attack on the Iga is pretty much imminent now. |

| Yeah, the classic beach trope has hit this show the same way as well. Ryoko and Kirei, especially Ryoko a.k.a Kirei as the Koga spy, staying over at the Iga residence where they're welcomed with open arms, Ittoki is the same unassuming naive new ninja on the block. Though it sure doesn't take long for Ryoko to help penetrate Iga's security premises, and especially for Suzaku, wants a rematch to qualm his rage against the Iga clan. Then, there's Shione, which her findings doubt the ninja security division, almost clouding them into obscurity for a lack of focus. And for a lack of better words, Ittoki's deceased dad trying to create a peaceful world where ninjas will not kill, it's an ideal that's quite far-fetched, and Ittoki though his mom, has to uphold the vision as well. Of course, they have to throw in the fanservice (albeit minimally), because why not, except for Kirei. And especially for someone who doesn't come from an established clan, the consequences vary depending on the severity of the Fuma family's tradition, which Kirei suffered indefinitely and now is on the backbone of Koga. As for everyone else, they've been through their own struggles, from Yumika taking up her husband's burden, to Kousetsu being an orphan and accepted into the Iga clan, which the clan was falling apart at the time when Hidetoki has been declared dead, and the infighting caused them to turn their blades against one another. With the things they are now, the Iga clan trying to preserve peace vs. the Koga clan eschewing on violence, the scale could still topple to one side. |

| Swimsuit episode and of course Kousetsu is still wearing her mask (at the party she only partially removes it to eat lol). Ryoko's family have suffered for their association with Iga. While last episode's twist had Kirei be the traitor loyal to Koga, now she's revealed to come from a line of ninjas for hire. She is Koga's decoy fish used to lure the Iga clan. Can't hate the mom, but she could've given her son actual ninja lessons! He's got gymnastics down, but she can't teach him like karate kid did through waxing cars since physical ability is only one part of being a ninja. |

| I thought the Koga son had one bit of redeeming quality in him and that was seeing the error of his ways and how stupid he was before, but nope, right back to being the absolute dumbass, blindly raging at someone enough to want to kill him for his guilt of association with someone else, with absolutely zero proof of it ever happening. Lowering this series to a 1/10 just because of how much these mob characters pisses me off. I'll revise the score, if they somehow escape this broken record of discount Princess Bride's Inigo Montoya's "My name is Inigo Montoya Ban Suzaku. You killed my father chief. Prepare to die." The fan service isn't enough to save this series, I'm afraid. They didn't even show Kirei's swimsuit for crying out loud. |
| So finally, we had one good thing about this anime. Also, good to see that a meeting is being held because of the academy after all the bs that happened in the previous episode. Someone trying to assassinate 👀 |
| Wtf man with the tech on the birb Pace become faster this time by doing a lot of flashback from a certain key character to justified their action, and how to redeem it, later. But oh well, what can they do when the show is only have one season only? So since the war might reaching out, that ninja police captain tried to prevent that shit by holding a great council next. But looks like it will be a waste of effort since y'know Koga always have some shit under their sleeve. However interesting to know how Ittoki save his ass next. Can the power of talks still have its greatness there? |

| Some fanservice, some dark past of Kirei, and the reveal of everyone in the shopping district being part of the Iga clan.. which still makes me wonder why being the clan heir was kept secret from Ittoki. |
