| This episode is proof that ryukishi has gone insane. How anyone can enjoy this trainwreck and proclaim it as anything more than a blatant attempt at a cashgrab is seriously beyond me. The magic battles had their place in Umineko, not here. Bringing in Eua((not) featherine) as a shitty author-insert to shoehorn epic references to his other works is in extremely bad taste. They themselves sayed that "we turned it to B-grade splatter where the more gore - the funnier", the deserve all the middle fingers they'll get. And what's wrong with mangaka doing things NOT like they were in the anime? It's not like passione are owners of SotsuGou. We've seen it a lot of times when mangaanime plot differs, I can name a few that comes to mind: Evangelion, Franxx, Akame. There's more but I can't think of anything else right now I can think of quite a few myself, Buf Jun seems to have got the expectation of completely decannoizing Sotsu.. and basically make the entire season redundant. Heck it even drops the name. I dunno have many anime / Manga series have done something like that. |

Might just be me, but him going out of his way to post this sounds like a lazy foreshadowing for another season / second half of Sotsu. I mentioned this in another thread, but there's even an unused song that would fit perfectly for the OP. We are supposedly getting more Higu Anime, the post. Whether its Sotsu or not, remains to be seen. Although Id like to add that the leaker wasnt 100 sure on New Higu / 3rd season Anime. It was something.he didnt 100 percent check. It could end up not being true. |

Then there are people who genuinely (unironically) actually do love this because they came to Higurashi for and appreciated very different things about it to begin with. Namely, for young girls killing and torturing each other, blood, gore, and shock factor. That it's done much more mindlessly without the same level of story won't faze them. It's just a spectacle and popcorn movie. |

If that happens it would be sidestepping the issue of Satoko being a timelooping murderer, but I've seen enough horrendous shit been forgiven in the name of "cute anime girl emotions". I can picture Satoko loudly wailing in Rena's (or any "motherly" figure or hell, Teppei's) arms who is smiling with closed eyes while rubbing her head and saying "I ko, i ko, you've been suffering all along haven't you? Hinting at that she's also being slowly taken over by a red eyed entity seen in episode 1 (Witch? I haven't read Umineko yet, sorry).  I know Satoko is going to be forgiven, but this is too much. It's like at the end of Kai, Rika would tell Takano while she's being taken away by Tomitake "Takano, after you've been let out of prison, be sure to visit us in our gaming club! We would love to have you as a new member! Nipah~" |

Rena dies from a clock. Rika is conscious from an attack that supposedly made her unable to lift her hand. Rika needs repeated stabs to her throat when she tries to kill herself. Dies from a fork. Rika remains alive after repeated throat slashes from Akasaka. Rika doesnt die from shock from getting Watanagashied or blood loss when Satoko literally sever her upper body. Keichi survived, again, multiple hits to the head with a metal bat. Clocks>baseball bats Rika same. And now Satoko's throat. I cant remember the details of Mion's arcs or Satoko's first bs suicides so nmv them. |

| this episode was rather ridiculous, particularly the fight scene. Someone must have watched too many Evangelion and thought it cool to implement the concept into this episode's fight scene. I would have been fine if it was kept to when they were children but including fight scenes from when they are teens and older was plain ridiculous; not to mention how they decided to truly kill each other, going against everything both of them had been fighting for the last 37 episodes LMAO And now both of them got superpowers...wow Higurashi has gone from horror and suspense to full blown shounen fighting anime. It truly is a miracle how much the series has evolved |

That spinning scene made me want to vomit Honestly its not great with it going full fantasy anime and the whole i don't wanna study excuse, like thats her reason, studying? - They're fucking hundreds of years old, she spent a century just rewatching nikas memories, its unreal how dumb an excuse that was, Other than that awesome fights and jump arounds thats been some fun action - still though, dumb dialogue and exucses/reasons, its took away a lot of meaning, now its just back to watching it for the sole reason of savageness |
