I disagree with many of the shows in your "Worst 50 TV Anime" list since, even though they have low ratings, they aren't actually bad shows and are nowhere near some of the worst TV anime made but are rated low due to several arbitrary biases the MAL userbase has:
1. Limit-chan: An early 70s magical girl show rated low due to a bias against old anime.
2. Mighty Orbots: A very good space cartoon from TMS, sort of made as an attempt to give GodMars more fluid animation and better worldbuilding. Rated low because anime fans tend to be biased against Western animation, especially if it's from the 80s.
3. Akubi-chan: A callback to 70s Tatsunoko comedy shows like Hutch the Honeybee, Paul's Miraculous Adventure, and Temple the Balloonist. Rated low because it uses flash animation, it doesn't have stereotypical anime character designs, and it's an inoffensive show for young girls.
4. Shinseiki Duel Masters Flash: An average card game anime in a franchise with a bad reputation for low production values. Rated low due to a bias against low-budget anime and kids' anime.
5. Ginguiser: A more comedic and inventive 70s mecha anime that remains fresh and fun the whole time. Rated low because of a bias against toyetic mecha, 70s shows, and because Ginguiser became the subject of some endearing memes on 4chan's /m/.
6. Guyslugger: An attempt to take the Super Sentai format into anime. Rated low due to a bias against old animation.
7. Aquarion Logos: The third show in the Aquarion franchise which, though it may have bad character designs and insufferable comedy, builds up to a great ending and is wortwhile. Rated low because it has no apparent connection to the previous two Aquarion shows and the word theme was too difficult for many people to understand.
8. Bakugan Armored Alliance: The show for the 2019 reboot of Bakugan. Rated low due to a bias against kids' shows.
9. Peeping Life TV: A comedy show about several classic anime characters. Rated low for its strange animation and character designs.
10. Duel Masters 2019: See comment for Duel Masters Flash.
11. Geisters: Fractions of the Earth: A show about a defense team fighting an alien invasion. Rated low for its awkward CGI and the fact that the last half, which gets into very interesting territory and becomes more story-driven, was never translated into English.
12. Platinumhugen Ordian: Rated low because its current subs are difficult to understand and make a mess of the story.
13. Duel Masters 2017: See comments for the other Duel Masters shows.
14: Gandalla: Basically Macross 7 without robots plus a grittier tone. Rated low due to lack of fansubs.
15. Duel Masters Victory V3: See comments for the other Duel Masters shows.
16. Bakuhetsu Gorou: An old school anime. Rated low due to a bias against old anime.
17. Paris no Isabelle: A Rose of Versailles-like show without any of the artsiness. Rated low due to supposed similarities to Rose of Versailles as well as a bias against old animation and shows for girls.
18. Duel Masters VSRF: See comments for other Duel Masters shows.
19. Firestorm: A Gerry Anderson anime that follows a problem-of-the-week format. Rated low due to a bias against lower-budget animation and episodic shows.
20. Duel Masters VSR: See comments for other Duel Masters shows.
21. Yuusei Shounen Papii: A show about a boy superhero solving crime; imported to the US as Prince Planet. Rated low due to a bias against old animation.
22. SD Gundam Force: A CGI children's show with SD Gundam characters. Rated low due to a bias against kids' shows, due to being one of the only Gundam shows widely available in the 2000s and not living up to the maturity expected of Gundam (at least in the first half, which was the only part distributed in the West) and gaining subsequent infamy, and a bias against CGI.
23. AWOL: Absent Without Leave: A space show with all adult characters, cool spaceships, and some great action sequences and a good ending. Rated low due to its slow start.
24. Business Fish: A workplace comedy in CG animation that doesn't have the stereotypical anime style. Rated low due to a bias against diverse character designs, CG animation, and more adult shows.
25. Delusional Monthly Magazine: An inoffensive show rated low due to a bias against episodic shows.
26. NEXT Senki Ehrgeiz: A seasonal show best known for ripping off the premise of a typical Gundam show and lacks fanservice, but builds up to a good ending. Rated low due to its slow pacing.
There are also several bishonen shows in the list (Opus.Colors, Kawagoe Boys Sing, Butlers x Battlers, W'z, Futsal Boys), and though I haven't seen this, I've seen several good bishonen shows like Marginal Prince and Scared Rider Xechs get low ratings on MAL due to a bias against bishonen/yaoi (meanwhile borderline-hentai ecchi shows like Mushoku Tensei and Gushing Over Magical Girls enjoy high ratings *eyeroll*). Hope this helps.

Monogatari series aren't actual seasons, seasons are basically all considered part of the same show while sequel series are still connected but arent necessary season 2. It can be a bit complicated what is and isnt seasons but I usually go what websites that list seasons consider them part of the same show (which why still counted Gintama,Jojo and Sailor Moon) while the only legal website I can even find that group them as one series is Amazon prime but even then The ordering is really confusing and Monogatari off and monster are listed as different series entirely (tho this could just be licensing issues). This leads with another problem in particular what would actually counts as season exactly? Bake,Nise,Second Season,Owari and Off and Monster Season would count but what about the "specials" like Neko (Black),Hana,Tsuki and even the second half of Owari? Hana and Owari second season could be argued there part of the above but what "season" would Neko (Black) and Tsuki even be apart of? Then there Koyomi which is technically canon but most of it aside from last few episodes arent necessary to watch (not to mention if we are going by anime release Koyomi would go before Owari second season so if we where to count Koyomi would it be its own season or will be part of Owari stil?). Then there Zuko Owari which is technically a movie but its also a series so again would this count as season or movie? All this is why I wont be counting Monogatari series unless Off and Monster gets exactly 4 seasons because it all just feels like multiple separate series connected as one then actual seasons. Im sorry this explanation is confusing but I just dont want to turn my stack into Anime with the most entries in general and instead focus on series I know are actual seasons. (Also fun fact: Second Season was actually created for the anime so they can organized a bunch of novels as part of one series which Nision would later use to organized the novels ordering better)

As for the other you mention Durarara Im kinda confused because it basically seems like season 2 season 2? Unless X2 is like some arc name Im probably not going to count it. Haikyuu is already on the stack and I will probably add Mayor soon but wont include Mayor 2nd because its more sequel/spin off series and it isnt even long enough for me to include on its own.
PokerFacecat Jan 20, 7:21 PM
Didn't count Monogatari since its entries are less actual seasons and more sequel series (which why the timeline is so confusing for people because Second season isnt actually Second season of Bake and more like Second batch of novels that were short enough to make into one series). Minami Ke already on the stack (its under Golden Kamuy) and Im not 100% sure Higurashi counts because its this weird soft reboot thats also sequel but Im not sure if its season 3 or not Idk. The other two need to be added tho (kinda surprised I didnt add Teekyu but got butt anime there lol)

Edit: I forgot about Strike the Blood well Im not too sure if I want to count ovas as seasons or not in fact I wanted to add Tenchi Muyou! into the stack but then there was Peeping Life has bunch of "seasons" that are all ovas and I didnt know if want to count that as well

Happy new year to you, too! I hope that 2025 is happy, healthy and prosperous for you :) it's not a problem, I wasn't very active on MAL for a while!

And that's alright! I was just curious since a lot of people like to compare the anime adaptations to the games. I finished AIR recently and thought it was decent, though a lot of the developments seemed to come out of nowhere. I can imagine it turned out like that that if too many details were crammed from the visual novel, but I don't know how much was changed exactly. I've always been interested in playing Maeda's games since of course there are some details changed between the adaptations, however the games are so long that I find it hard to start amongst other things. Definitely Maeda shares topics across his stories though! CLANNAD is probably my favorite overall, but I appreciate the nuances in his formula.

Ah, and thank you so much for all of the great suggestions! I'd love to check some of those series out sometime myself, they look interesting and I enjoy it when a series takes extra time developing itself without relying on fanservice. Hi no Tori in particular is something I've always wanted to see! :D I'll be sure to add them all to the stack as soon as I can, though! Thanks a bunch!
