if Sunrise runs out of ideas again (or just want to milk some easy cash), I think this is quite likely.... Sure it's old, but now they've done it for CG, you can't deny the chance of this happening with other big series they have made in the past....

I'm not one you'd consider a "fan" but even I think it should be left alone. It has stood the test of time thus far, no need to sour it.

I mean, if some studio was that desperate for some cash grabs, hopefully they'd be merciful to not make content that goes past the ending; they could perhaps make something within the same universe, different characters and what not years and years before the the main story takes place.

But who knows, nothing's really sacred as you point out.

Just this once, I'll fulfill whatever your wish is.

There is no possibility of such continuity. The MC dies.....

By the way, Cowboy Bepop could be good to come rather as remake with different storyline.

Sure, why not? Just remake it with more modern animation.
Yoshii Kiria took over as leader of Fairytale and rebuilt it and became one of Tsukunes formidable enemies but let's save that story for another time

Hehe, let me introduce him to you again, kid. This is Shuzen Issa (who is MIA during the final battle), who will become your 'trainer' starting today. You still have much to go if you want to become the headmaster.

Isn't most of Bebop made by Bones staff? Wouldn't they be the one to release a sequel? they did do the movie.

Remake isn't a sequel, and what's the point of remaking something that is still one of the best looking shows around?

I am aware it's not a sequel, just redo the scenes with more modern art. That is the only reason for more Cowboy Bebop material.

I am not 100% opposing CG sequel, but I will gladly hating studio who makes sequel of Bebop.. Ending of Bebop is too complete to anyone make sequel for the reason of milking money of it.. I will gladly watching Samurai Champloo's sequel though..

I don't really want a sequel to Bebop, but I'd still watch it if it were released. I just don't know how to build off the existing ending that it had, especially with how iconic it ended up being. I've seen stranger things, so I won't say that it couldn't work, but I'd be extremely skeptical of it

A sequel would cheapen the impact of the original ending but I'd definitely love to see more Bebop, albeit with a "midquel" (for lack of a better term) or maybe even a prequel in the form of maybe a short OVA series or another film.

Please no. It has one of the best, most iconic endings in anime.

A prequel, interquel, or spinoff would be met with mixed feelings.

Same reaction to any crass exploitation, not surprised but disappointed

Sure, why not? Just remake it with more modern animation.

In other words, you want it to look worse?

I would have mixed feelings, a little surprised, scared, and happy. Surprised because it's been a long time since Cowboy Bebop had a new episode, scared because if they're running out of ideas or just want to milk the franchise, it might not be very good. It would be sad to see such a good series become rushed or uncreative. And happy because I always wanted to see a few more episodes of this series and want to see if Spike survived.

That would probably make it worse. It's like the Evangelion rebuild, I'm still trying to get used to the new animation that it has and it's even worse than the old series it is remaking. With anime as bad as it is now, a remake or a sequel probably wouldn't be a good idea.

I didn't even think about Samurai Champloo getting a sequel, but okay.... I mean, from what I remember, the ending seemed incomplete and it got better towards the end.

Champloo's story is completed.. But at the same time it still has an opening for a sequel..
Bebop is completed and doesn't have that kind of hole for a sequel (at least for a better or same quality of sequel).. Spike is dead for good.. I will be mad if the author suddenly said Spike is stil alive after that "bang" scene and Blue song at the ending ...
So why I don't say the same thing about Lelouch ? Well, Lelouch's death is not that necessary for the story.. It even a little stupid thing to kill yourself and hoping human being will never be in war again.. Yeah, I am okay too if he is really dead, and I agree that it's even better than to make another CG sequel for the sake of milking..

Not needed. In a way I have a feeling it would only tarnish the original animation's legacy and reputation.

I wouldn't want it to be as a sequel to the original series. I would much rather have a show where the gang is all together going around completing bounties and living life rather than moving on past where the show ended off on

Everyone who's already finished Cowboy Bebop knows there won't be a sequel.

But a prequel is my dream. Spike's story with Julia and Vicious; and how he and Jet paired up. Doesn't need to take more than 13 eps, and it would be amazing if the Good Ole' Watanabe-sama directed it.
