(Exceeded 50k character limit from MAL, so gonna use abbreviations. Google "anime <abbrev>" if you're not familiar) I might be recycled before I get through all of my PTW. ================================================= Shitflakes (my alt account) ratings: Shortcut to anime list ratings: https://myanimelist.net/animelist/Shitflakes MAL Profile (includes extended favorites): https://myanimelist.net/profile/Shitflakes MALGraph for the account I use to rate: http://graph.anime.plus/Shitflakes/profile Gifs Ed Member Ed Standard Ed || ||| Milk Ed Maid Ed Swimsuit Ed Bunny Girl Ed || HS DxD Ed Other Ed (All credit goes to the card makers of the club) Ratings assigned: Ratings are based on enjoyment as I believe it goes hand in hand with quality (bound to be a few exceptions). Anything < 10 mn in length time is not rated. If there are multiple entries, ratings are determined on WEIGHTED average by episodes. If Entry 1 = 26 eps and Entry 2 = 13 eps, then former entry is weighted more. Movie duration is split into how many 20 min eps it can fit i.e. 90 min = 4.5 eps. Prequel/Sequel OVAs are also factored by weighted ratings. Side story TV series and OVAs only count IF it's like a TV series (ie Toaru Kagaku Railgun). To determine the weighted average for a movie, its length is divided by 20 min even though most eps are > 20 min, but that includes OP & ED. The avg sum of individual entry ratings are displayed. Rating value is subject to change anytime if I feel the scores aren’t justified enough, so rewatches aren’t necessary. Before I determine a final score, I compare that series with the rest of the group and modify if necessary. Approaches to rankings: --There are inconsistencies in MAL entries (I know why) where a franchise has multiples of entries vs another franchise that is long running but with only one entry w/ 100s of episodes. Since that is the case, I GENERALLY combine the entries together (whether TV series, movies, OVAs) in rankings, which prevents the list from being out of control. --COMPLETED franchises are ranked. Completed entries of a franchise are rated but it won’t have an assigned ranking number until I go through the entire franchise. Quality of the anime can increase/decrease in the ending, so shows in progress shouldn't be rated and ranked until it's finished. Exceptions to this rule will apply to long running shows (100+ episodes). --COMBINING Prequels/Sequels vs SEPARATING __1) If MAL creates separate entries for multiple seasons of that franchise, they are only considered separate if ___A) OVER 2.5 years of time has elapsed between exact end of the episode of the prequel and the exact beginning of the episode of the sequel. (ie Digimon Adventures 1 vs 2) [EXCEPTION: at least 1 main character is in both seasons DESPITE major time elapsing (i.e. JoJo Part 3 and Part 4 with Joseph/Jotaro)] -OR- ___B) Alternative TV series or alternative movie versions that contain multiple episodes are treated separately. (ie Ghost in the Shell movie vs SAC vs Arise). Side story TV series are treated together with the main/parent story of the franchise (ie Toaru Kagaku no Railgun) [EXCEPTION: alternative TV versions created by SAME studio will be combined (i.e. FullMetal Alchemist and Brotherhood)] _____To make this even more complex/weird, only the above applies to TV shows. If a single movie is made by different studio from the TV series (ie Clannad), that movie will be factored and averaged with the TV series and be considered as one whole. Same applies with OVAs/ONAs/Specials that are > 10 minutes. If I don’t do this, then there will be even more clutter of the same franchise. OR- __2) If MAL combines multiple seasons/arcs as one entry, they remain as a single entry in the ranking even if >2 years have elapsed between the exact end of last arc and exact beginning of the next arc (ie Tengen Toppa Guerren Lagann). __3) OVAs and movies that are affiliated, in name, of the TV series are by default considered together as one in rankings irregardless of time elapsed unless exceptions above apply. All specials/OVAs/movies are factored into franchise rating if > 10 minutes. Favorites I have revised what I view as favorites since Jan 5, 2020. Initially it was weighted franchise, then it was peak + volume, and now it's higher weighted average by what I researched as "canon" (since I haven't read original source yet). In general, side stories often are not recorded as canon and thus not factored into calculation (this differs from franchise ranking in which it incorporates every franchise related entry > 10 minutes (non recaps) and recaps > 60 minutes. If the synopsis for side story CLEARLY mentions that it was adapting a chapter from the original source, then it will be included. All sequels and prequels are included. Remake movies will become canon OVER series adaptation if they make a subsequent sequel/prequel movie that isn't a remake All Manga favorites (other than Berserk) are actually anime favorites. Between the anime and manga favorites, it ranks top 19 canon weighted franchise favorites. Each 1000 minutes of shows (I used minutes per episode from MAL to calculate) adds to 0.01 of their weighted average score to factor in volume as I appreciate it having more quality episodes. In GENERAL, the anime is top 1-10, manga is 11-19. The exceptions are if it's original only, then I swap the lowest ranked section of anime with the highest ranked section of "manga" OR if one anime adaptation adapted more than one original source for that entry. Likewise, the Shitflakes account is top 20-39 franchises, but there are much more swapping between anime and manga thanks to the exceptions. Characters: After experiencing unexpected headaches at trying to keep up with rotating 4 characters every week at exactly the same time, I'm going to instead limit to 1 rotational slot. Since 6 characters are soldified and by chance all happen to be male, this account will be used as ranking for male characters with the top 9 soldified and a weekly rotation (13 male characters) sharing 1 slot. The other account will be female characters. Top 9 soldified. 1 rotational slot with 4 characters sharing (quarterly). Hopefully this will be easier and be of something that won't crash effective 2022. Currently Nov 2021 to Dec 2021 is a test run YE OLD [[The first 6 of the profile are solidified. The last 4 are rotational based on this below for the year 2020-2021. Subject to rotation every week and then resets every quarter. The positioning of the order for each week will also shift for different quarters. Leaders are considered on a separate tier and each one will lead as the head of the week for the 1st quarter. The following will then switch orders. The leaders are randomized so this is in no order. The same with the non-leader characters within their own tier. The only conscious efforts were to make sure no two Gintama characters were within the same week as well as no more than two females were within the same week. This is since males:females ratio is 26:21, so I rather it be more leveled out in the rotation.]] People: Not a complete diversified list. I try to aim for people that cover various works rather than just 1-2 works that I like. Still need to update and find someone that separates themselves in things like music. Best Girl rankings doesn't always translate/equal to Waifu. Often this happens from one or combo of these reasons and the fight between best girl and waifu is close enough for me not to pick best girl as waifu: __1) Best girl has more opportunities given for character development but waifu's personality potential is intriguing even though it hasn't been explored well enough. __2) Best girl has more memorable moments simply due to more air time __3) Best girl doesn't look better aesthetically compared to the waifu __4) Best girl Personality is seen as a turn-off...at least enough for the other female character to win waifu material. __5) They're too young as a waifu and there are older options available that don't suck. Only when the rest are so awful will I consider the young one as waifu, but I don’t condone it. Before proceeding with ranking pic WARNING: Ranking is strongly weighed based on my personal enjoyment. NOTES on Best Girl Column: 1) It is for the lulz. Also, I have strong bias in favor of badass characters and from what I've seen so far in the anime medium, that's mostly males, so great female characters usually get left out, hence a separate column. 2) ALL rows must have best girl and waifu for each series even though it could be shitty beyond belief where there could be little interest, if not zero interest. The rankings are entered in order of best girl, not waifu material. For all-time rankings among the best waifus, check the other spoiler. 3) [W] is to specify which of multiple female characters listed in one row, is waifu. If waifu is not first, then multiple females are listed because the main purpose of the row is for best girl rankings, which doesn't always align with waifus as noted above. NOTE 2: There might be more than one favorite character listed. By no means does that automatically indicate that I have more favorite characters in that particular series than another anime. It's the fact that there was enough empty space that I can list a character in second place that can fit in the blanks As of 05/06/18 Probably unreadable without clicking the picture I'm limiting my "favorites" section below to only TV series, so I'm making a special category to put movies here. Side note: I haven't watched that many movies so my choices are pretty limited. 1. Girls Und Panzer Der Film Actas | Fall 2015 2. Sword of the Stranger [Stand Alone Rank #1] Bones | Summer 2007 3. I don't define waifu as one who I worship (that'd be a separate list). Rather, it's what I find appealing for a "wife". I try to weigh pros and cons of them being a spouse (crazy, right?) and factor in how fun they are and their ability to pull their own weight. List of course is subject to change. Also, this is focuses on things that are only shown in the anime. TOP 50 Waifus (THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS EQUAL BEST GIRL, just waifu material as in an imaginary scenario in which the choices are the best ideal, self-sufficient wife that will adapt well in the "3D world" given her abilities in various aspects). Crusch Karsten: List is restricted to the following rules: -Rankings are only based on the music played on the TV, movie, OVA, ONA, etc. If there is a full song available, it is not factoring the full song in the ranking. Best or terrible parts could be omitted if it wasn't ever shown in the TV series -Openings that were used as endings aren't factored in the endings ranking if more of the episodes place the music as an opening (ie Dan Machi). Same applies vice versa -No remixes are allowed -Only music enjoyment is looked at and not the visuals when it's ranking. With visuals, it's a different story, but I can't be arsed to go through the trouble of re-watching loops of openings/endings. If opening and ending includes dialogue from the anime, then that is factored as well in the ranking -Will only incorporate the anime series I have finished watching or currently watching. I don't watch youtube (or any other site) of videos of anime openings/endings from shows I haven't watched. -English dubbed openings and endings are also factored. I don't know about the past, but now I'd probably wouldn't watch/play something if I wouldn't be able to access original audio. Unless it's something purely for educational purposes.
True, tastes change over time and it's hard to imagine someone not getting interested in Fern after becoming acquainted. That means you'll have to partner with someone like me who is too obsessed with another girl and wouldn't think of getting romantically or sexually involved with Fern lol.
I see. JoJo is very complicated when I try to understand it based on what others tell me. Not sure, maybe I should continue watching it after all... But there is still so much stuff to play and to watch.
Another one I ended up enjoying from the last season is Wistoria. It's from the author of Danmachi and I really like the MC's motivation. Becoming Hokage, hero, pirate king, saving the world, etc?. Nah, it's a simple "I want to be with the person I love", very relatable :D
That's an interesting idea about Blue Archive and golbins, could work really well in a form of a short comic. But as it turns out, it's quite easy to find Pixiv/booru links for that image by googling "blue archive goblin".
Fun fact - Kiseki has a cyborg girl and she's voiced by 2B's seiyuu. This is how she looks like:
That's one crazy paizuri, I wonder whether this collage was created manually or with the help of AI? Regardless of that, this artist is probably the biggest paizuri lover out there.
Hmm... Even though there are plenty of catgirls and other -girls I like aesthetically, if you pressed me for an answer, I'd say I like normal human look the most (and some tails actually suck because they block the view of the girl's body). As for definitions, though, I'm not sure. Maybe it's like different levels of furry? I don't think I have even a single furry lover among my friends or other people I interact with so this question never popped up before.
Heh, perhaps. How do you think Sybil System would evaluate you?
Are you sure Rixia isn't the sexiest one? :D
I see, that's understandable. For me it's pretty easy - I've been watching sub since I was 13 and I always go for the original audio even if we're talking about other languages. When it comes to animation or video-games, I prefer to think that the characters have only one voice - changing it to me is the same as changing the design or personality. The only exception I can think of are Chinese gachas which I'm not even sure if they have the 'original audio' or not.
Hmm, I think Youjo Senki's relation to real life nations is only thematic for the most part, but there is also Hellsing, so the precedent is there. Perhaps I'm just overthinking things.
Sounds like a decent plan. Alternatively you could try finding someone who'd try to aim for Frieren herself and isekai together, she has many fans after all - maybe she'd mellow down in the process. Unless you want this to be a solo experience. On the flip side, your 'partner' could fail and drag you down.
I repeated this concept of a story to my other friend and he told me that something similar happened in JoJo P6. What do you think? On Death Note, I agree completely.
Some screenshots
Some time ago I saw a funny picture about BA's halos. There were goblins transporting some barrels - you can't see what's inside of them, but because the halos are visible, you can make a guess what is being transported there.
This is all so true. Making some kind of passion projects with the power of money is indeed very enticing, possibilities are almost endless. This is actually a pretty interesting thought experiment - by asking different people what would they do with such a power, you could discover many things about them; as long as you can make them to be truthful, I guess.
Hey, nothing hypocritical about that, you simply discovered something new. Did it help 2B to earn some points in your eyes?
I still like Laura (within the same series she's number 2), but there's certainly no comparison to Shizuna. Even one atom of Shizuna's being is more dear to me than anything else.
Maybe you'll find it interesting to look at the other Kiseki girls I like, though.
You're actually not the first one recently who told me you watched Black Lagoon in English dub. Hmm.
It's going to be interesting to see how things are going to develop in a year or more for you on this front. It might seem like a long time, but we've already been communicating for more than 5 years, so it wouldn't be surprising to talk about this after 5 years more.
This manga has plenty of fights, yes. But it's not finished yet and it's also set in WWII time which I think might be problematic to some producers.
You bring up valid points. Alternatively I guess you could get isekaid at the start of their journey to improve your overall situation there.
This is true and sometimes even openings spoil such things (who fights who, etc.), so it's not such a big deal in the grand scheme of things. And it adds all the more value to something unorthodox. A few years ago I had a funny idea about an anime - start it like a normal battle shounen in which characters get stronger, overcome obstacles with teamwork, etc. and when they reach antagonist they all die by his hands and from that point he ends up being the protagonist instead. I wonder how the viewers would react to something like this.
Hey, I appreciate you saying this. Good to know my feelings are coming across.
There are some parodical elements in Katsute. Like for example, the aforementioned "Kyuubey" acts like an alcoholic unemployed father.
Kazusa is often drawn together with Kikyou. Or at the very least I got that impression while I was searching for fanart of the latter.
Yeah, actually I've discussed the same with another friend of mine and we talked about how the whole Holy Grail War might be a scam created by the three families since it is likely no one else would be able to operate the Grail. But when it comes to theorizing, I think it's fair to assume of it as a wish-granting device without such pitfalls. The one that Kiritsugu had to deal with was already corrupted, but the normal one is probably just a source of a lot of mana, with which you can do a lot of things human mages wouldn't be able to do normally. So all in all the simpler the wish the more realistic it is to fulfill it by the means of grail, I guess?
Some might think money is a banal wish, but I don't think so. After all, money is pretty much like mana in our world - it saves you time and health, it helps you make your desires into reality and with enough of it you can even alter the world. My own wish would be obvious though, and I'd go for it regardless of the consequences Grail might inflict upon me and everyone else in the process.
I've read a topic about this and that site's parting message does feel really creepy, like someone forced the site owner to close it and say those words. If true, copyrighters continue to operate like mafia. As for torrents, I've been using them for more than a decade and never had an issue, but finding some rare specials might be a challenge depending on the title.
When Laura S. Arseid used to be my favorite character, Shizuna didn't exist yet. The former held the position of the number one for 5 years straight, so the fact that the latter managed to overcome her is amazing in itself. When I put it like that, however, it sounds like one just replaced another, but that's not the case, which I think is obvious to anyone who reads my thoughts on Shizuna. So to answer your question, in order to bypass Laura, she simply came into being. At first I was a bit conflicted about these emotions, but the more time has passed, the stronger and clearer they became.
I’d put Sara in 8th place overall (used to be higher). She has the same voice as Revy and is quite badass, so you’d probably like her if you saw her in-game.
Yeah I remember how meticulous you are about these things, so this “project” would indeed require a lot of time and effort, and it’s not even guaranteed you’d be satisfied with the end results when you’re finished. I’d say just go with what your heart is telling you, but I think that wouldn’t satisfy you either.
I’ve been reading this manga yesterday, and even though I’ve greatly enjoyed it, I still couldn’t help but think it would’ve been better as anime. I might start reading Berserk in the near future too by the way.
Those are all fair points, although I think the danger part is relative, ha-ha… I’d probably prefer the opposite. Curiously, I think having access to digital media is the best thing about living on Earth.
I’ve been spoiled about Rudeus marrying Roxy long before the season started airing, but it didn’t really affect my enjoyment from watching it in any way, so I can agree with you on the topic of spoilers.
Since you tend to think deeply about things, it makes sense that I found understanding, but still let me say thank you.
If I wasn’t so serious about this, I wouldn't be able to come to all these conclusions, so essentially one gave birth to another. I’ve been preoccupied with these matters very intensely after all (the strongest point being the contrast between “not caring about anything” and the feeling of love that injects life into me). And that seriousness is also what makes it easy to brush off ridicule. On a more spiritual level, I might be the only human on the planet who thinks of Shizuna as something much, much bigger than just a fictional character, and hoping for a miraculous union with her attracts me more than any other alternative. As a matter of fact, I start every morning with praying for exactly that.
I don’t remember, have you tried playing Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation? It might be the most fanservice-heavy DoA game ever.
Eh, I ended up putting 2.5-jigen no Ririsa on-hold after all. The last episode felt lackluster in... Pretty much everything.
Katsute is cute and wholesome but at the same time has some dark humor (e.g. local Kyuubey abusing the magical girl).
So we have the 1st and 27th that align. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 0 overlaps, ha-ha. I’ve added it to my plan to watch, but who knows when I’ll get to it.
I haven't watched the anime adaptation, but I don't think it's possible to put all the events that happen in VN into the anime format, not to mention world building, character interactions and MC's contemplations.
Well, Tio is supposed to be 14 there and Altina 12, so I guess it checks out. That's how Tio looks when she's 17 btw. The games they are from have a great number of amazing female characters and I'd put Tio on 4th place and Altina on 7th overall.
You mean you don't want to read the Frieren manga? I think that's a wise choice, you'll have more things to look forward to when the S2 arrives (I think it's guaranteed given Frieren's acclaim and popularity) and in my opinion anime is usually superior to manga since it's the same thing but with added animation, music and voice acting. In case with Fern, would you rather her to be transported to Earth or you to be transported to her world?
I think the following theme is at least partially related to this topic (I checked your list, so it shouldn't be spoilers - the following paragraph is about MTS2P2) - a few days ago I tried to imagine myself in shoes of Rudeus in relation to his situation with Roxy and Sylphiette and if I assume one of the girls is Shizuna, I wouldn't go for the harem route. If she was Sylphie, I wouldn't end in the same situation as him in the first place, and if she was Roxy then I'd become a moral bastard but still give everything that is me to her. I actually made a thread about her (finally decided to put thoughts into comprehensible words) around 10 days ago and thought of pinging you there, but assumed you were busy and decided not to bother you.
I'm not a fan of Hoshino too, but as far as I know she's loved by the devs. Hanako is built different lol.
After reading your message I realized I used wrong abbreviation - DoA is Dead or Alive, not Date a Life. Well, this makes me even less interested in giving sequels a try.
Isekai Shikkaku - I like the catgirl more than the elf, but the main reason I like it is the protagonist.
As for Oshi no Ko, I take back what I have said last time - my impression of it improved.
2.5-jigen no Ririsa - interested in whether protag is going to stay true to his worldview or not.
The others you mention (aside Roshidere) I'm not watching. My favorite one currently is Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita.
In my opinion, Marcille looks the best with 1st, 12th, 26th and 27th hairstyles. That said, I haven't seen Dungeon Meshi, so I'm basing my opinion on that picture only. Seems like most of the people I know praise this anime.
I liked Shikoku too, but there was so little of her she wasn't even eligible to compete against Kyouka - whom I initially liked a lot, but after 3 months have passed, I don't have a strong memory of her anymore unlike let's say Esdeath whom you mentioned. I think I need a second season as a refresher. Not a fan of Shushu. How about Yachiho? I like her more than Himari.
It was unfortunate you didn't manage to nominate Sugita in a recent contest by the way. Also, we have almost the exact number of friends (168 and 167).
The irony is that the same people who complain about lewd fiction, are often fine with real women selling their nudes online and that sort of stuff. But then again, when I listen to Western politics, I feel like both the "left" and the "right" (I find these distinctions really weird and unhelpful, but for the lack of better alternative going to use them anyway) are my enemies in regards to freedom of speech and expression. Seems like the weebs are hated by pretty much everyone and easy targets for politicians.
I can't say for sure if they reused something or not (since I've already deleted haruhi from my PC anyway), but when I was watching it it seemed like every scene was newly drawn. If it was something like my favorite series, I wouldn't mind watching even 100 episodes of the same thing lol, but yeah, Haruhi while good isn't close to being on my personal top list of anime/vn/vg series.
Utawarerumono is quite good. World building and story progression is on par with LotGH, although the second and the third games (and remake of the first one) are all family friendly.
Well, my favorite lolis are these two. Do you see them as loli or no? Funny thing, though, is that both of them look even better when they're older.
So how is Fern doing right now in your overall rankings? It's been quite a while since Frieren aired, recency bias (if it existed) should've worn out by now.
Probably Narutro's Sakura. Can't think of anyone else with that haircut and hair color combo.
In the end, I didn't bother to try Blue Archive anime. Do you think I'm missing anything noteworthy? I also decided against watching DoA, Konosuba and Mahouka sequels. This new season seems to be great, however, but I've already dropped some. Current rankings are as follows:
1. Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san
2. Isekai Shikkaku
3. Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita.
4. Giji Harem
5. 2.5-jigen no Ririsa
6. Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!
7. Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi
8. "Oshi no Ko" 2nd Season
9. Fairy Tail: 100-nen Quest
10. Ore wa Subete wo "Parry" suru
11. Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta
12. Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai
13. Shoushimin Series
Dropped
- Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan
- Hazurewaku
- Senpai wa Otokonoko
- Na Nare Hana Nare
- Gimai Seikatsu
- Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai
Oshi no Ko is a bit of letdown. It's interesting to watch overall, but that's mostly because of what was set up in S1.
It's very interesting how feminist groups try to take away jobs from women who draw/do voice acting in "offensive" works. Apparently rights of fictional characters are more important than livelihood and rights of real people. Morrigan is the sole reason I'm interested in Darkstalkers/Capcom fighting games. Have most of them downloaded but haven't played most yet because this genre isn't fun without a controller.
The names are a complete coincidence :P I think there should be a lot of new doujinshi with her coming soon, so tell me what you think of her if you decide to read them.
Finished Haruhi not too long ago. Endless Eight is an interesting case because on the one hand, from the perspective of a viewer, watching it was insanely tedious. On the other hand, however, from the artistic point of view it was very unique and I respect the effort put into animating the same thing from scratch. The movie was great (the "normal" Yuki was very cute), although the main appeal of the series to me ended up being Mikuru's fanservice.
I'm not a fan of very long texts in these scenes either and I wonder if they exist the way they do because the devs wanted to make playtime longer since otherwise the whole thing would be too short? Something like Rance is better in that regard, in my opinion, there are a lot of H-scenes, but all of them are relatively short with unique CGs. I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but my favorite VN H-scene is in the first Utawarerumono (with this girl) and it was as vanilla as you can get. So at the end of the day, despite me exploring all kinds of rare kinks, I still prefer the standard stuff.
Eh, strap-on in general, whether yuri or not, is in the sleep inducing category for me. I don't remember it ever looking arousing or otherwise interesting. Still better than futa, however.
Lolis are like Schrödinger's cat - anime girl can be both a loli and not a loli depending on who looks at her.
Do you like tan lines like the ones Yukikaze has? I think tan lines in general look bad aesthetically, but somehow it worked for her really well.
I meant CGs. Her scenes are the peak Taimanin moment for me. Her outfits come from the Action Taimanin 3D game which I used to play too, though, and they are indeed nice looking.
Is it possible that when the next questionnaire or something like that pops up, you'll be able to name Fern as THE waifu? :P
Is that Gabimaru x Sagiri x Yuzuriha x Yui? Don't recognize the pink one and what is Kenshin doing there?
Right now I don't have the means to move, but on the "bright side" it looks like the whole world is become more and more totalitarian so it probably won't matter much where one lives in a decade or two.
I know for sure that it was fan artworks which made me interested in trying out most gacha games I've played, probably true for many other players too.
A friend of mine who is a big BA fan doesn't like its anime much... What's your opinion on Kikyou, by the way?
Got it. Probably won't ever reach a point where I give this Goumon a try since I can't even finish Haruhi after more than 2 months. Also agreed on the slime issue, to me it was very interesting at first when the MC was exploring the new world and only started building his country, but afterwards it became all about him and his minions effortlessly destroying their enemies. Got stale very fast.
_____
Man, you call it psychotic, but I on the other hand kind of jealous with your ability to express yourself in such a detail.
I wonder if Murakami was involved with the original visual novels or not because many of the issues you're describing were present there as well even in a form of static art. If he wasn't, then on the aesthetic front he's just being faithful to the source material, which has a lot of those themes. I don't remember how it was for Asagi and Yukikaze VNs, but for Kangoku Senkan I found only around ~40% of all CGs to be hot, others were a turn off instead.
I'm fine with tentacles but mainly as a restrictive mechanism, i.e. when they grab the girl's limbs or hold her entire body, but aside from simple penetrative sex there are not many interesting things that can be done with them. What you've mentioned (when tentacles play with tits) most of the time is boring, I agree. On the other hand, tentacles aren't as distracting as males, so there's that at least... For example, human on human double penetration scenes only work when they're shown from the side (because no one wants to look at a dude's ass), but with tentacles you can show whatever angle you want. Never was a fan of futanari and yuri is only good because you get to seem more female and less male, but any action is usually dull-looking. Anything related to shit drops my arousal to 0, I hate it. Urination depends on the context. Ironically, I find it OK in the romantic context, e.g. in Majikoi one girl of noble birth peed herself during sex with the MC, got embarrassed and grossed out because of it, but licked her thighs and said "if it comes from a pretty girl then it's okay" or something like that, was a funny moment. Still wouldn't work with shit, though. Also yes, not a fan of electrical scenes either. Wonder why do I even read Lilith Software works at this point lol.
Agreed on Sakura and Oboro, they don't look very appealing. With Yukikaze I think it's the matter of definitions because I don't see her as loli. If you haven't done so already, try googling Yukikaze VN's CGs. I think the ones with Rinko are super hot and better than what was in the anime.
How about Murasaki? I like her more than Ingrid.
There is also something special about Maya's personality because she's the only girl in Kangoku Senkan who is not a bitch, but instead naïve and good at heart. Adds her some charm points.
>千雪とはだかの休日
I'll tell you what I think when/if I find it, but from the cover alone (which I found in google images) it looks familiar... I've probably seen it before.
I remembered it because I just finished reading Kangoku Senkan VN trilogy from the same developer (unlike Taimanin, however, I didn't watch the anime). Liked it more than Asagi, but less than Yukikaze. Also, a rare case of a truly villainous protagonist. Whereas I consider someone like Rance a charismatic hero despite everything he is infamous for, in comparison to him Kangoku Senkan's Donny Bogan is a total scumbag. It was interesting to see the story from the perspective of an ambitious lowlife scoundrel who uses his cunning to achieve what he wants.
As for the girls, Lieri > Beatrice > Maya > Kila > Naomi > Alicia > Kilia.
I wonder how would you rank them? I think you only know Naomi and Lieri, but you can check the others from the links above (at least their appearances). As a side note, Lieri looks worse starting from the second game (her main image on the wiki page), her looks from the first game is better.
Yeah, that's how it was with the internet - old zombies in the governments didn't know a thing about it, so it remained unregulated for some time.
I suppose in a few decades we'll have to pay just to go from one site to another similar to how toll roads work (or every site having subscription fee)... Not to mention, only government approved sites will be available. It's messed up I can actually imagine this happening.
Torrents are also being blocked. The only way to access them without using VPNs is either magnet links or using torrent files saved locally.
Maybe they're just not enforcing their copyrights for some reason? Same with doujinshi being sold, i.e. it's free advertisement for them.
Yes, it is unlikely I'll re-watch anything AoT related. If it was a video-game then maybe. S1 > S3 > S2 > S4. Pretty much like yours, only with S1 and S3 swapped.
How about the uniform Roon has?
As far as I know they're animating Abydos arc, so you're probably won't be seeing many of your favorites.
How is the art style in Himesama "Goumon" no Jikan desu? Characters don't look too good on their DB pages.
Many sequels for me too, not sure if I'm going to continue watching them, though. Mahouka, Slime and Date A Live V don't ignite any passion in me at the moment. Are you going to watch them?
The thing with restricting laws is that they add new ones over and over without cancelling the older ones. So the more time passes the less freedom people are going to have unless they dismantle the whole thing and start from scratch.
Fuck Fakku then (lol). I guess I was under the wrong impression that Nhentai didn't care about the legal state of things. Still, it's better than what's going on here, it is banned not because of some copyright infringement, but rather because it's "yucky".
Do you mean Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai? It's been some time since I watched it, but I think the teacher has the same amount of screentime as the other girls. Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel anime isn't worth your time, it's a spin-off to the game and it had some noticeable budget issues.
Discord and some explicit Reddit subs is an option, I suppose.
Nah, I haven't. Is cosplay a legal form to use someone else's character design, though?
Frieren being iyashikei has a hidden upside to it as well because unlike something story-driven like AoT, even if S2 is going to have lesser quality, it won't affect the overall value of the S1. As much as I loved AoT at some point, due to how I received S4 I wouldn't bother re-watching older seasons because they lead to nowhere (imo).
Musaigen no Phantom is in a weird place. It's overall story is kind of meh, but the visual part it is outstanding and some of the individual episodes are very entertaining.
I like AL Haruna (Criin always draws beautiful girls), but I have much more connection to the KC one. Still a good combo. Interestingly, with Zeppelins it's the opposite.
Sorry for a sudden cup of pessimism, but I honestly think something wonderful was lost due to the meddling of governments and corporations. And what's also sad is that the current generation doesn't even know it existed.
No, I mean, do you know what was the reason behind the purge? Was it an issue with the copyright? A witch hunt against specific tags, perhaps? Or something else entirely?
Oregairu had a nice teacher as well, but she wasn't a romantic interest for the protagonist and didn't appear that often. Other than that... Hm, I think Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai! is one of the few which makes a teacher a full-fledged heroine. Can't think of anything else anime-related, but in video-games there's Sara in the Trails of Cold Steel series.
All the sites you've mentioned are blocked. See what I'm talking about above? There are people whose jobs (payed by the taxpayers money to boot) is to find these sites and block them. It's akin to burning books.
Enjoyment yes, but I mostly meant the portrayal of life and slow pacing, attention to little details and changes of eras, i.e. you live through lives of these characters as well as observe how the eras change and how different events, both little and grand, affect different people. I added Frieren, Fern and Ubel to my favorite girls, although all for different reasons. Wonder if they'll stay there when recency bias wears off. One thing I can add about Fern is that her relationship with Heiter makes me appreciate her much more. She is the living proof of the concept of continuity of life and a wonderful portrayal of a loving parent and a child relationship, even though they're not related. So when I see her journey she doesn't appear only as a Fern as she is now, but also what a little girl we saw in the beginning has grown into.
How about your KC/AL pairings?
Random image sets from same author - somehow it's a more pleasurable experience. The only exception is when I look for a specific character, I guess.
As for the second question, I don't have a preference. It depends on what I want to see more at the exact moment.
Yes, it's Kuwayama Chiyuki from the Idolm@ster. I honestly think she's the best looking idol in the whole series, although she is weaker in some other characteristics, like singing for example - I think Kisaragi Chihaya is still the best in that aspect. As far as I remember, most of Chiyki's doujinshi were rather boring, unfortunately. She has some nice R18 art, though. Totally agree about hair in general. Some hairstyles/haircuts can be an immediate turn off to me. For example, when I see women with shaved temples I instantly go "nope", so thankfully anime doesn't employ this haircut often.
Yes, Suzune. I never liked this plot twist (cutting one's hair for dramatic purposes), and the way she looks now is a downgrade in my opinion. Agreed about Sae, she's definitely the tastiest girl in COTE. It is unfortunate she doesn't appear on screen as often as I'd like her to.
Danbooru (even safebooru), rule34, SankakuComplex, yande.re, pixiv, Hitomi are all blocked here. Sometimes it feels like half the internet is blocked lol. What happened to nhentai? I'm out of the loop.
Frieren remined me of LotGH. I still consider the latter to be "better", but the feeling was there. It's definitely one of the best anime I've seen since 2011. Currently, I placed it on 4th place, but it has the potential to rise even higher. Gushing over Magical Girls was OK in my book, but nothing extraordinary. Dosanko Gal was fine, but yeah, don't expect much out of it. Slave has some good fan-service and tons of great girls, it reminded me of older battle oriented ecchi like DxD and Shinmai Maou no Testament. Buta has really terrible animation in some episodes, but I still loved it - felt like a classic fairy tale.
First pairs that comes to mind is Takaos, Akagis and Zuikakus. Both girls of each pair are amazing (on the other hand, I like AL's Atago much more than KC's and KC's Kaga more than AL's for example). Harunas could work for me too. Suzuya as well.
