Man, I feel like this time I took even longer time to respond than usual.

First thing I wanted to comment back at the start of January is that I already saw that New Year's picture since it's not new, but it was still nice seeing it again in this context. I think it's pretty cool when friends know what makes you happy and deliver it.
You've probably already researched it on your own, but if you didn't - the image I sent to you is a fan artwork for Gakumas - a new idolmaster game and these three are the starting characters there. The blond one really loves money so maybe you'd find common ground with her :D That said, I doubt you'd find her very attractive visually.

Sara haven't appeared at all in the last 3 games.

As far as I know JoJo references popular rock music of 20th century, but I'm not very knowledgeable about this genre. When it comes to rock music, I used to listen to metal mostly.

As of now, I'm done with most of Monogatari with the exception of "Off & Monster Season". I think this series is quite good overall, but at the same time individual episodes/seasons were of mixed enjoyment to me. Some were very fun, whereas some others bore me. Another negative aspect, I guess, is that outside of the main cast the world feels pretty dead, but all in all it's a minor thing. My favorite opening is "Kogarashi Sentiment" and top-5 girls are as follows: Shinobu > Mayoi > Yotsugi > Karen > Tsubasa. If judging by appearance only, then Black Hanekawa is the best.
My watching speed got even slower. For 2025 I decided to make a log with the stuff I watch/play/read, and as you can see it's not very lively here.

The "not fitting" part makes sense - even though I get easily baited by collabs, I rarely use those units when they are over.

There is one other thing I'm curious to ask you about in regards to Azur Lane - what is your opinion on Fancy? I think she was the best addition to the game in a while.

The funny thing about GFL2 is that I'm already done with it lol. Got tired of doing dailies lazy level design pretty fast.

I like it when my friends participate in the events I make, but that's understandable. Speaking of Fern though, how is she holding up in your favorites ranks?

I completely agree. I liked it initially but didn't become a fan till the Movie. Loved it ever since. With Das Finale films, it just got better and better. Especially Das Finale 4. Peak of entertainment.

From things you did not mention I also liked that author really put themselves into the shoes of a long-living being. Why rush if you have plenty of time? You can spend few years (or decade) deciding what to do. And it does feel "alien" for us, humans, where a decade is a very long time.

Another thing are parallels between past and present. Not only between Hero's party and the current one, but also between Serie/Flamme and Frieren/Fern. There are even some parallels to heroes long forgotten (we don't know much about Kraft's story and I doubt we will ever learnt all of it) and how it will inevitably happen to Himmel too.

Finally I like how in both manga and anime they keep measuring the passage of time using "xx years after passing of Hero Himmel". This is way more informative than using "year yyyy of AAA calendar".

It was hard not to pick it as my new #1 anime :'-)

I was (and still am) reading manga. When the anime started I immediately knew we had something great - the anime was better than manga!
I did not expect it to beat FMA so badly, tho ;-)

Sara is unlikely to appear in this arc though so as unfortunate as it is we probably won't be able to see her in the new engine.

Eh, haters are a special breed. Sometimes it almost seems like they are making up things just to be able to publicly dislike something.

Maybe that's how our story will go after we go into the next life, who knows :) Well it's definitely more appealing then just meeting the nothingness and oblivion that comes with it.

Nah, I don't expect any fanservice from JoJo at all. Even if author/animators will add some good female characters, given the art style I doubt I'll find them attractive.

I'm still at 0 seasonals. Can't even finish Owarimonogatari that I started in October lol.

Triage X is one of those anime I had on my plan to watch list for a long time but still haven't started. High School of the Dead is one of my favorite anime though. I watched it for the first time in 2012, but only started to appreciate it after re-watching it in 2020. It has really great fanservice-action ration, you never feel bored with it.

At this point, Azur Lane had collabs both with Love Ru and Ryza, I wonder what you think of their depictions there?

I started playing GFL2 recently. It has really great character models.
So far my favorites are Groza and Krolik.
Well, Groza was one of my favorite characters in GFL1, so it's not surprising, but Krolik is a new character.

To be fair to Sara, those screenshots of Rixia are from the latest arc (Kuro) which has the best engine and visuals (I honestly think it has the most beautiful character models I've ever seen anywhere), whereas she only appears in the previous arc (Cold Steel), which uses older graphics. I finished replaying one of the games and did a bunch of new screenshots, so here's Shizuna and Rixia together, Rixia in her casual look.
I don't know about the past, but now I'd probably wouldn't watch/play something if I wouldn't be able to access original audio. Unless it's something purely for educational purposes.

True, tastes change over time and it's hard to imagine someone not getting interested in Fern after becoming acquainted. That means you'll have to partner with someone like me who is too obsessed with another girl and wouldn't think of getting romantically or sexually involved with Fern lol.

I see. JoJo is very complicated when I try to understand it based on what others tell me. Not sure, maybe I should continue watching it after all... But there is still so much stuff to play and to watch.

Another one I ended up enjoying from the last season is Wistoria. It's from the author of Danmachi and I really like the MC's motivation. Becoming Hokage, hero, pirate king, saving the world, etc?. Nah, it's a simple "I want to be with the person I love", very relatable :D

That's an interesting idea about Blue Archive and golbins, could work really well in a form of a short comic. But as it turns out, it's quite easy to find Pixiv/booru links for that image by googling "blue archive goblin".

Fun fact - Kiseki has a cyborg girl and she's voiced by 2B's seiyuu. This is how she looks like: Might be my favorite role of hers.

That's one crazy paizuri, I wonder whether this collage was created manually or with the help of AI? Regardless of that, this artist is probably the biggest paizuri lover out there.

Hmm... Even though there are plenty of catgirls and other -girls I like aesthetically, if you pressed me for an answer, I'd say I like normal human look the most (and some tails actually suck because they block the view of the girl's body). As for definitions, though, I'm not sure. Maybe it's like different levels of furry? I don't think I have even a single furry lover among my friends or other people I interact with so this question never popped up before.
