This was another one of those episodes that feels like a finale, like how can it go wrong lol, well we found out of course, but damn this episode slapped. There was some amazing animation during a lot of the fight scenes in this one, they all looked amazing, it definitely makes me forgive some of the hiccups we’ve seen so far. The contents of the episode itself were so good too, I’m glad that even after having the last loop abruptly end we still got a badass fight against the shadows at the school.

There were some really cool things here, like Tokiko using her giant baby shadows against Shadow Mio, and Haine was unable to gain control thanks to Ushio reprogramming them, that whole sequence was so fun, Shadow Mio even went completely nude for a bit there lol, and I loved the teamwork from Nezu and Ryuunosuke, it allowed them both to survive and I always like seeing Shide take an L lol. And the plan to set the shadows on fire was really cool, nice to know that works on them. They got so damn close but Haine pulled some crazy attack out of her ass and escaped, but damn maybe I should be thanking her because that means we get more of this awesome show lol.

And some neat stuff about Shide was revealed here, it looks like there’s a human body beneath the shadow part, and the way his voice was glitching when he was burning in the fire, it almost makes it seem like he’s a robot and he being piloted by someone, I’m really excited to learn more about that mystery. And looks like Shadow Mio is about to be converted to the good side, that’ll be interesting having two Mios lol, that’ll be a fun doujin.

Man, what an exciting episode, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! It was nice to have the good guys survive through the entire episode, and it looks like shadow Mio will join the cast! You'd think there would be only a couple of episodes left the way things are currently going but with 10 episodes remaining there is lots of stuff that can happen. I'll enjoy the brief victory but I'm sure there's more death to come, and the last loop will probably be used too.

Ikr, can’t believe there’s so much more of this anime to go, but that just means more goodness to come lol

When Haine and the other one looped one more does that mean they lose because they've moved into another world but Shinpei and Ushio don't?

What the fuck that's so good! The animation is top notch this week. That Hizuru vs Shadows fight scene is chef's kiss. It's crazy how the Shadows can even scan and erase the air itself, as long as it's within a container or some sort.

If we follow that logic, would it be possible for Haine to use planet earth itself as the container and erase all the air contained in it if she had the power?

I can't believe 15 episodes in and this episode is still great. Spring 2022 best anime right here.

I don't think Haine and Shide looped. They simply ran away. So far whenever Shinpei loops Haine comes with him. I don't think a time looper can loop through time without the other.

Ah ok that clears up the confusion. I thought they did because they looked like they are dying to the fire. Thanks..

Near the last scene it has a char (シデ - Shide) with the VA name blurred. Someone knows why?

It's a spoiler. If the VA is credited viewers can pick up on it that's why his voice is deliberately distorted and VA name blurred.

i think tokiko has romantic feelings for mio, with how she acted in the earlier episodes at the festival and in this episode where she was admiring naked mio's 'athletic' body. also how mio was the only one tokiko cared about protecting from the shadows a few episodes ago.

So the Shadows were beaten this time, honestly after episode 14 I thought it is all over.
Satisfying to see how Haine and Shide had to run away and took some serious damage.
There were good team tactics, Nezu and Ryuunosuke were injured again though, they aren't really good at combat or surviving.
Shide has been really overpowered in the previous episodes, now it looked like he was holding back or looping makes him weaker.

The vacuum scene was a little weird, no building is truly airtight so it was a weird card to play to steal all the air.

I don't think Shinpei's ability is limited like we were told here.

I think that looping makes Shide weaker.

This anime gets better every episode.
This episode is literally fire.

Holy shit the fighting sequence goes to the moon. Beats most of the combat anime out there.

This anime got such a wonderful adaptation and i nvr read the manga before
How fortunate of me to be able to enjoy this ride blind cuz the plot is soo good.
Didn't know they can come so close into defeating Shido/ Haine.

Donnu how ppl can hype Spy Family so much despite plot being super boring/ standard/ generic. This anime is the true anime of the season along with Kaguya.

I;m just tired of everyone overhyping it cuz of the exposure.
Spy Family isnt even as good as Demon Slayer, and Demon Slayer is not that amazing in plot department to begin with..
Yet all the ppl who normally dont watch anime hyped it like is some Jesus descending from Earth or something, including my sister and brother. (they dont watch anime at all normally)
While they praising it they still refuse to watch any other better shows cuz their friends didnt tell them is the greatest show ever or something.
It is not even that good of a Romcom too , it's just too boring/ unfunny in Romcom standard and not enough drama that worth investing.

I think it's in your best interest to at least save your opinions for when the first season is actually done. The 1st cour and 2nd cour are going to have two completely different paces.

What an episode! This was definitely the happiest loop ever, and it went so well! None of the died, got injured at best, which by itself is already amazing.
And now they will capture Mio's shadow which is insanely good, this anime is so great, love it even more with each episode.

But i guess that we now know Shinpei's limitations in the loop, hope it won't go there but the OP tells us the other i guess so we'll have to see as always.

Jesus, who bit you? You are acting this anngry just because an anime you don't consider all that great gets a lot of hype. People are allowed to like what they want to like, no need to be so condescending of the fandom.

this anime started as a some sort of fantasy wicker man mixed with Higurashi, very mysterious very unnerving and now its a faction battle nekketsu with a big quirk,

its surely not what i expected but its pretty fun especially when the animation carries so much.

What a sakuga fest being treated in this episode, holy shit the best thing I've ever witnessed in the latest time and it's not surprising the staff had prior experiences and I feel like Shinpei and the rest are becoming more knowledgeable about the Shadow's own weakness and their own action throughout the loop, that is from the law of physics from the rifle shooting explanation and the flame, so fuck yeah get some flamethrower at the price possible! Anyways though I'm glad they keep it as graphic as it required to for this certain scene because it was a bloodbath of an episode.

loved this ep so much, didn't even notice 20mins has passed by. that's how u know how good it is. what haine did with the air, i thought that was cool :O although i doubt that a ninth loop won't happen? i mean we still have 10 eps left, so i'm really excited about things. i wonder what shide meant by saying that shinpei hasn't mastered his powers yet... maybe that's the next thing we'll find out when he dies after the last loop.

F Disney+. Thanks to those idiots, so many people are missing out on this gem and are flocking to stuff like Lycoris Recoil (I’m specifically pointing this one out cause it’s hogging the spotlight). Pisses me off so much. Additionally, my visually impaired sister can’t watch it without it being dubbed and I know she’d also enjoy it. I hope this series gets somewhat of a secondary boost once/if it actually hits Disney+ worldwide.

The animators really popped off this episode everything looked like it came out of a movie, would have loved if they gave the “by underestimating us you took your eyes off the prize” quote/ scene of shinpei more importance since it was a badass moment in the manga + it’s one of my favorite scenes but overall everything else spectacular 5/5 ep

Oh dang, that was intense af! I was on the edge of my seat hoping no one dies. So, it's confirmed that Tokiko has strong feelings for Mio which made sense--with the way she behaves towards Mio from previous loops. Ahh, can't wait for shadow Mio to join them! Only 10 episodes left, and I am getting so anxious af. I wonder how this will end. I think Shide could be either Sou's father or that close friend of Hizuru's. I don't remember his name, but he was at the funeral 'cause why would they even show him in the first place?

This was the climax that all the previous episodes were asking for, there weren't as many plot revelations as the previous ones, but seeing all the progress of the anime taking action in this episode was incredible, and the animation was absolutely gorgeus to see, i don't know how are they suposed to get over this in the last episodes, but i'm sure that this is going to be one of the best mistery anime of all time.

I'm a tiny bit confused by Shinpei's explanation of the looping deadline: I thought the whole reason that there was a deadline was because there was a point of no return where they would no longer be able to stop the Shadows from consuming the entire island rather than because the loop start point would move past a point where he's dead (or whatever the hell that whole "cliff edge" metaphor actually meant). I feel like that explanation just made something that seemingly made sense more confusing than it needed to be. Also, since when does Ushio have the ability to erase a Shadow's connection to Haine like that? Did they just forget to explain or show that, or were we supposed to not know about it until that moment? Actually, it kind of feels like the writers have started pulling a lot of Shadows powers out of their asses recently to keep the plot moving without properly explaining or foreshadowing them.

Those questions aside, some fantastic animation for the fight scenes this episode. I'm still disappointed that it's becoming more about fight scenes and losing that interesting mystery tone in the process, but if it continues to be animated this well I can kind of forgive it; not enough so as to end up liking the second cour more than the first (as it feels much more generic and "shounen-y" now), but enough to not completely hate the change in approach.

Same thoughts. Especially on that first part. The "deadline" being on the 24th during the festival made way more sense to me... I'm surprised they decided to changed conclusions? And they def didn't explain that whole Ushio/Tokiko thing either... it just feels like they keep on adding all these new random things Ushio can do which feels like plot armor, "hey guess what i can do this. and that, and that too!" and they just leave it at that.

Damn the shadows vs humans war was incredible, some great animated fights and especially how tense it was since Shinpei's time is limited, only one loop and he's done... at least he had a bulletproof vest but too bad Ushio didn't manage to erase Haine while the huge fire plan was great but Haine managed to remove all the air in the gymnasium so it stopped everything... now time to brainwash Mio's shadow to make her an ally
