| No downtime eh, they really just throw you back into the action. It seems like they knew that no one cares about Naofumi, he is put on screen almost immediately and is just walking around. Raphtalia and the oversized chicken however, definitely get more of a re-introduction. Coming from someone who isn't exactly a fan, it still feels surreal to see these characters come to life once again. I still don't get what made what is simply another isekai amass so much popularity, but it's that popularity that will make this watch worth it no matter what. Maybe it's just the culmination of all the little things it got right that added up. Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to hopefully enjoying this season more than the first. It's another one of your standard but solid episodes of Shield Hero. Now pardon me as I go look for a season 1 recap |

| Bad pacing, bad animation, stupid green character, 8-9 minutes for the filler. No wonder, at the last episode, they won't have time to show what happens after saving the world. Shitty first episode. Dropped. |
| thanks for everyone pointing out Shield Hero has returned, after watching the first episode id almost didn't notice.... I loved the first season but this episode was a bit dissapointing. it felt rushed with clunky pacing and it just didn't flow right.. I'm sure the series will hit its stride but it could take a couple of episodes. |

| Shield Hero is back and the other heroes continue to be the brainless idiots they were on season 1. Seriously, their characters goes through no change at all throughout the entire season, and it doesn't seem that will change at all. Naofumi really looks like a genius when everybody else is acting like a idiot by making the most stupid decisions ever. |

| Quiet normal start for Shield Hero but I gotta say that I dont like characters like Rishia. I hope she gets the character development sooner. |

The books don't have him setting up his own village(?) and all right, I like where this is going, i have read the manga a bit. Let's see if this widens the plot(?) Yes he does but it’s after this arc, it’s like a season and a half too early for this. But they skipped to it because they didn’t know if they’d have a second season so they wanted a happy ending. |

| With what they showed in the ED, we my jump waaaaaaaaay ahead in the story. I actually started with an anime, then manga, then LN. I think it's safe to say that adaptation-wise anime is NOT faithful to the source. With this considered, I'm watching this season with low expectations. |
| Ah yes, season 2 finally. Naofumi is back again with a new party member huh, interesting. With the season 3 bring confirmed, I can sit back and relax that there will be another season after season 2. And yeah um, Is Rapthalia even more beautiful or am I wrong? Loved this episode by the way. |

| It's been so long since I watched the first season, I went and watched a quick recap episode on YouTube to refresh the memory. I enjoyed the first season, but a pretty underwhelming start to the 2nd. |
| What a fast-paced episode this is. I didn't even have the time to reminisce the season 1 because a lot of things are happening already. I am very happy to see that Naofumi is back saving the world again. But seeing the three heroes and that sl_t just ruins the show for me. Hope episode 2 becomes much more interesting than episode 1. Great start! |

| Yeah this anime still sucks lol It is very convenient that these heroes who have been summoned to save the world can't be bothered to save the world so that the shield hero can be the hero I forgot who the green haired girl was but her only personality trait seems to be that she want Itsuki's respect. Like literally thats it so far. Who thought of that a plot point in the story should be that the green haired girl should become a slave? Like did no one in the entirity of the production took a pause when they said "Why don't you try becoming a slave?" Lastly, the big bad ability at the end of the episode felt weirdly place structure wise. Like there was no dramatic build up to him using it, he just went "Welp too many enemies here, time to use my ultimate destructive ability". |

Filo and Raph cheer for him how strong he is. He then says that most of the group are cleared. Then another group of enemies appear, but visually they don't convey this group is bigger then the last one Naofumi fought. And then suddenly he uses his ultimate ability???? Like the only indication that he needed to use his ultimate ability is that he says that there more enemies then before, even though the visuals contradict that fact. So it truly feels like the ultimate ability comes out of nowhere and thus feels odd from a structural standpoint. Yeah I know this is the most nitpicky of nitpicks, but my annoyance of this truly shows how many little flaws this show has that it makes the experience actively worse. |
| Glad the Shield Hero is back this episode felt a bit rushed but I'm still excited for the rest of the season. I'll admit the animation looks a little lackluster but the fights still look relatively smooth so I'll let it pass. Basically if you liked the first season your going to like this arc. Only thing I didn't like was how quickly Rishta was to becoming the Shield Hero's slave, dang girl think about it for like a minute at least. |
| I'm sure the Novel is better but this adaption is going to kill the series, it's terrible, feels rushed and the characters are unlikeable. The other Hero's being as stupid as usual feels repetitive at this point, they are unnaturally handicapped in the head. |
| I think it was a good start. The first season was so intense that maybe some people expected it to keep pace, which was quite difficult. So I think it wouldn’t be fair to compare both seasons. To go on like this, it has the potential to shine on its own :D |

| this is somehow worse than i remember which is why most of this episode was just me thinking about all the things i hated about this lol that slave scene takes me back in how it's impressive it's still even a thing at this point at least naofumi was just a bit reluctant on it ..a bit "i wont force anyone to be a slave " "i want to be a slave!" "well she seems pretty quick on that so i guess i don't have a reason to say no" major threat to the nation and might some connection to the Waves stopping other 3 heroes yeah i an't dealing with this shit i got bigger problems these 3 continuing to be the biggest clowns in the show |
