Aye, the adventure continues. It's funny to see that Memenpu wants to prove herself that she can "fix anything". What a curious and determined girl. Can't deny her knowledge in her role though.

Episode had its entertaining style of storytelling as usual imo. It capitalized on fleshing out Memenpu's personality as much as possible while also developing its world fiction elements.

The next destination in Jolly-Jolly: the Windy Hill, such a stark contrast of a place in the Labyrinth to have a forest in decay of its vegetation and animals which eat each other to survive.

Merooro and Memempu are so alike in nerdness, Gagumber just found it irritating for yet another genius mind. Surprisingly on this side of the Underworld, there exists a deity-made mechanism that operates on its own, this "God of Wind" temple/sanctuary facility that both father and daughter are subjected to manual work of repair.

They're trapped while getting lost in this huge landmine field, so a game of Shogi will do the work...plus a table and a tea-time photo sharing session? How ridiculous can Merooro get away with hiding all that gear for a "convenient" situation like this lols. Memempu is of course interested in Merooro's history preservation hobby work, but Gagumber is just unfazed.

How nice that Urorop's map provided their only way out with repairing the missing link, and that part of the mission is resolved no matter how hard the job is of leaking animus that's like chemical acid waste and would burn the naked skin.

"Curiosity killed the cat", that's what Memempu is. Another reckless but fun journey in the books.

I thought this show was going to be an AOTS contender based off the first episode, but every episode since has been very average with last weeks one being bad.

Shame because there was a lot of potential there, but who wants to watch 20 minutes of someone fixing pipes?

I was a little suspicious of Merooro initially but looks like he’s a good dude in the end.

Episode was kinda boring ngl, appreciate the world building but the last few eps have been really slow.

Great episode
Memenpu is such a genius. I wonder what her mother is like, she definitely got the brains from her.
Gagumber is so dumb but he is a great father, always protecting his daughter.
They are one step closer to that dream!

Good episode. Liking the anime since episode 4. Meroroo guy also feels nice now. And the setting feels a bit like the Fallout games.

Great episode! Seems Memempu really wants to prove her skills by fixing that ancient machine which she ended up doing. Was pretty dangerous though so it’s good they had them suits with them. Gagumba asking for the money in the end was funny xD.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Can this show make up its mind on whether Memempu and Gagumber's actions actually have any legal repercussions or not? It's pretty damn cheap and lazy to use them being arrested by Merooro as a cliffhanger twice in a row, only to disregard that entirely at the start of the next episode.

That aside, I have now at least accepted that this show is meant to be episodic with a thin overarching plot driving everything, a la Samurai Champloo or Cowboy Bebop. However, unlike both of those, this is proving to be pretty boring at best. Did anyone really want a full episode of the characters fixing pipes?

I'm really hoping Memempu's overconfidence has actual consequences soon to bring her back down to earth. I want to believe that her successes now are setting that up by building her up to knock her down, but given the show's approach to reminding us of Memempu's intelligence I'm really not confident that'll happen.

Merooro probably heard a lot of good things about Memempu and used the arrest as an excuse to use her. He doesn't seem like a bad guy but he's pretty mysterious. The technology of their ancenstors is something that they can't build with the possessed knowlegde they have at the moment. That means, they're going back in time rather than evolving? Pretty interesting and this creates more questions; what actually happend to their worldd? Hopefully, we'll get some answers on that. Anyway, Memempu managed to fix the pipe and the forest will be healed. She did almost die but I feel like that was a death flag right there. The one that will die for sure is Gagamba.

I can just say that the world of Sakugan is interesting, I can see the developing of the main duo tangential to the principle of exploring the fundamental ideas that construct our day by day. This episode wasn't as exciting as the past one, it was more or less exploring the same ideas that it did in the past. At least I can say that this anime is not as bad as others that I have seen trying to do the same.

Also, Memenpu has 7 doctorates and it is working as a pilot of a mecha, how does the education system of this anime work?

Pretty good episode of pipe fixing. It does feel like there's a bunch of foreshadowing here. Memempu will fuck up and die sooner or later or she will fuck up and endanger Gagumber. There's also a possibility that Memempu is not a normal human, cause how'd she survive all that animus, unless you know it's just simple plot armor.

Merooro is a pretty cool dude, just a fellow nerd. The world is really interesting with all these mishmash of culture. We'll finally meet the redhead next episode, but I also want more Zacrettu though.

It was a very boring and meh episode, honestly I thought this was gonna a hidden gem of an anime from that amazing first episode but I feel like it's gonna end in a whimper, just like Wonder Egg Priority.
But hey, it's too early to judge yet, maybe the series can hook me in again.

I'm glad that Merooro is a good guy, although he still has that mysterious aura around him. Regardless, he bonded with Memempu really well with their synchronised nerding out. XD

The episode wasn't special, but it was satisfying seeing the trio on their quest to fix some massive pipes in a labyrinth-style area that keeps changing around, but with Memempu's determination and curiosity, the group were able to fix the pipes, although Memempu had a very close call when one pipe broke and animus poured on her, but was saved by her contamination suit while she protected two baby birds.

Merooro's comment of curiosity killing the cat while referring to Memempu does make me worried about what could happen to her (and Gagumber as well) when she gets closer towards her goal. Maybe I'm worrying too much, but who knows.

Looking forward to the next episode as always. =)

Merooro's hair reminds me of Diana from Little Witch Academia.

Merooro is knowledgeable in the natural sciences allowing him to connect with Memenpu. 5:44 You're both nerds lmao

The Bureaucrats job is incredibly important in this post-apocalyptic world where the knowledge and culture of the past is in decay.

Urorop's been down this area before and didn't bother to fix it? If she really is Memempu's missing mother did she leave it intentionally as a test, only giving clues on the map?

This is true, the post-apocalyptic mood that was (surprisingly?) absent in all the previous episodes was fully present in this episode.

Heh, glad to see others felt the same way...

The episode left a rather sad feeling in me. Makes you wonder if the upper world is habitable, or if the duo will find anything there.

The way the technological marvel is addressed as a god, reminded me of the quote from "Metro last light" where two main characters talk as they're riding a train: "In the past, trains were ordinary things. But now, this monorail seems magic, doesn't it? Our kids won't know how to operate these things... and their kids will probably think this was built by the gods"

Agreed. The character development has been near zero and the plot feels more and more like bad western kids cartoon. All this fuss to reach to reach this goal and it's suddenly forgotten with pointless distractions.

I'm not so sure any more that Merooro sent those kaijuus after Memenpu and Gagumber. Perhaps the system itself which controls that world did.

Furthermore it is not clear if that '3-D printer detected' scene we saw earlier with what appeared to be a server farm was about Memenpu's 3-D printed map or about that wind machinery failure we saw in that episode.

The two 'red lights among green lights' scenes looked a bit alike and what looked like servers might have been the 'god of wind' machine blocks.

Memenpu is a little genius but she needs to be more humble about her skills and intellect. She also needs to be more careful; she almost died in this episode.
