THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Heh, it only took 4 episodes but here we are, the obligatory beach episode. It is noticable that their trip to the beach was also for work this time, not just to have fun. Eiko looked nice in a swimsuit imo. Kyouya's relationship with her is still kinda rocky but on a professional level, I think they'll be fine. |

This is a beach episode...that'a only worth 2 minutes long, and the rest is the short film shoot evaluation at best for the Kitayama Share House...with disagreements abound with the addition of Kawasegawa to help in their next film project. Keiko Tomioka comes in with a hidden agenda, and who knows what's her game. But if the minute-long processed short film is anything to go by, when criticizing a film by all its agendas, it fumed Nanako into thinking that it's a half-ass fabricated effort when she gave her 100% (which doesn't feel like so). Even the short post-karaoke stress reliever session felt like a back-and-forth backstabbing between both Kawasegawa and Nanako, and it's the straw that broke the camel's back. Trying to squeeze out Nanako's potential is easier said than done, and she has to face the music sooner or later. And what better way than with the upcoming school anniversary to showcase their efforts, though Kiryu sure has a lot of fantasies lined up with the Photography Department. So it turns out that Keiko is part of a well-established circle, and wanting to request Kyouya to be a game director, but of course he changes his mind for the time being, and Keiko keeps her options open should Kyouya want in. Kyouya trying to talk Nanako out of her personal dilemma, and promises to help her improve her voice and be more confident in herself in her singing. That's a new start for Nanako, and a one of many ReLIFE stepping stones for Kyouya. I find that this episode's pacing is like a bullet train to get rid of the unnecessary stuff and reach important milestones, which can be both a good and bad thing. Still though, this show never relents, and I'll take that any day. |

Oh hell yeah... A beach episode and a bit of fanservice. Why not? Everyone loves them. And, that wardrobe malfunction. LOL. Kyouya really got the front seat to the show. The beach didn't last too long tho. Other than that, looks like the team is falling apart. Nanako isn't satisfied with her acting which is quite understandable with what everyone's saying about her acting skills. Lots of drama at the Karaoke and looks like Kawasegawa said quite a few things that Nanako didn't like. Everyone wants her to become a singer because she has such a beautiful voice but she can't accept that. But, thanks to Kyouya and his sound engineering techniques that he recently learned came in handy and helped Nanako realize that she can definitely pursue her career in singing. Looks like everything's gonna be fine now. |

Team Kyouya, with the addition member Kawasegawa, came to the beach to shoot a new video. This is just a member problem, No matter how Kawasegawa and Nanako had a conflict, Kawasegawa only envied Nanako. Nanako likes to sing so Nanako doesn't give up, there must be a solution. Campus Anniversary and nearly 8000 students in the 40 years of the school's founding will take part in the school's Anniversary. So every club will participate because the school anniversary is a lively event, so it's the best chance for promotion. The art club used to hold art exhibitions, but now the art club is submitting a maid cafe proposal. The club president is only interested in pink girls, senpai want to invite Kyouya to join in the gamemaker. hallucigeniasoft, it is a popular club. Senpai only wanted to repay Kyouya's kindness, but Kyouya refused the invitation. Looks like Nanako has solved the problem and it's thanks to Kyouya. Nanako wants to practice her singing, then create a song that moves someone's heart. Kyouya wants to help Nanako, Kyouya believes in Nanako and Nanako believes in Kyouya. senpaiiii |

Oh!!! yeah! the beach with a nice bikini. Unfortunately, it was very short beach scenes. Nanako is the best girl. Now, it's time for her to shine with her singing. From the previous episode, Misaki Kanou the teacher said that Kawasegawa will join the Kitayama team for the next project, which is the beach project in this episode. |

Nice swimsuit ep! Sad it only lasted a few minutes though... Don't really agree with what Eiko said here. Just because you like/are serious about something doesn't mean it has to be career. I mean I love cycling to death, but I didn't end up becoming a pro cyclist and became a business man which I also enjoy. Am I less passionate about it? well yes but that doesn't make it a bad/wrong thing as Eiko makes it sound to be. |

The guy going on & on about maid cafe being his dream & pink hair lolis gave me a good laugh lol!!!!! Hope Kyouya will have more personal development. He is pretty boring atm I dunno. Either the show is or he is. And wasn’t he supposed to be this relatable MC that evoked lotsa emotions from us lol. At this rate just make Tsurayuki the MC, I’d rather he have more screen time lol. |

Well Eiko being straightforward again, she is way to serious at times. Well she does say some things that need to be said but at other moments she is to straight forward and it seems that has worked against her a few times judging by her behaviour. Nanako also has her share of problems but it seems some things happened to her as well, luckily she has some help overcoming her problems. The main might have gone back in time judging by his behaviour he doesn't have much experience with woman, tho it is funny to watch. And Eiko gave the right person a slap, tho one that did it and not the one who saw it. |

The pacing was an absolute disaster this episode. Whatever messages the show were trying to portray with motivating Nanako again were completely lost, and I wish the series actually transitioned into Kawasegawa's inclusion to the team a lot, lot, lot better than what they did here. Plus, I wish the projects were showcased a lot more than what the show's done so far, at least a slim portion of what Eizouken did with actually having the projects matter, although that's more animation focused and not as broad as this show. This was really poor. |

Gimme more of that Eiko fan service, glorious stuff. xD They took first place but if Eiko seems to feel like they are missing the passion in the final product, I was surprised she didn't come on more strongly initially after stating that cause she seems like the kinda person who would carely deeply about something like that. However, after hearing Nanako sing I guess she was able to put two and two together. It's understandable Nanako would get upset but I can see why Eiko is a little angry given that everyone else is trying their hardest and pouring all their passion into their work while Nanako is just trying to make it work because her real interests lie elsewhere. The last scene with Nanako was very cute. |

The more I watch this anime, the less I like Kawasegawa. She's so opinionated and comes off as arrogant which is pretty funny when you consider that she fails miserably in the future where Nanako - the girl she just rudely tore down - succeeds in the field that Kawasegawa is striving for. What makes her think that she's important enough to thoughtlessly go at Nanko like that? It's actually really pissed me off! |

When was the last time I've seen a beach episode? So Nanako wanted to become a singer. Quite the drama scene in the karaoke place between Nanako and Kawasegawa. Good thing Kyouya was able to talk to Nanako in the end. Her smile at the end tho. |

Extremely poor episode, and possibly even worse than the premiere. The pacing felt off and the whole drama bit with Nanako felt so silly due to how weightless the presentation was. The part with Kasegawa was so abridged, too. Considering this is a show where you'd think they'd at least devote notable focus on the actual academic projects they're assigned with, it's damning that there's such minimal amounts of that, if at all. Not to mention, this was also a self-obligatory beach episode (cause almost every standard anime needs one, apparently). |

A beach episode in only 4 episodes? Well sadly the fanservice is just for a few minutes. But those were the best minutes in my whole life. (joking) Well, It's time to work on their next project. And damn, they placed first. Which is kinda suprising because the whole class had their eyes on the other project. Anyway, a small drama between the two girls which will be solved in no time. And a school festival, looking forward for that. |

Kaiseki said: Wait, since when did Kawasegawa join the Kitayama team? Kawasegawa said the right thing, but it hurt Nanako's feelings. I like Tomioka's Kansai dialect. @AkeZZZ Thanks. How can i forget that scene, lmao. Being nice to people without an insight of honesty and reality would only lead Nanako to despair which is even worse, Eiko is trying to avoid that, if art is not her forte and passion, what exactly is Nanako going to do in her life? Kyouya's previous life from the time leap reflects on that. |

Obligatory Beach Episode, y'all say. Obligatory: Has to happen. They did that part well, and didn't waste any time with it. Call it the quintessential Beach Episode. Allowing us to move on with the story without having wasted an entire episode. Kawasegawa did the right thing. Having a dream and giving up on it because you can't see any way of achieving it? Um, yes, this does happen, a lot. Especially if you don't have a good grasp of what the ultimate result might have been if you succeeded. Presented with an example of that potential result? Let's rethink this, OK? Maybe it is worth trying after all. Kyouyo is drawing upon his pre-rewind experiences, yes. The good ones do learn from experience, after all. It's a rewind and take a different path, not a travel the same path and just have a better shot at the same challenges because you know the answers now. So he's facing new challenges and dealing with them with the plus of ten years more experience under his belt; it's his ability to analyze the current situation and see how he can leverage his prior experience and knowledge that's relevant. Yes, Pink Hair offered him a chance at something impressive...he turned it down for the nonce because he recognized he needed to properly discharge his current commitments first. I got the sense that she didn't see that as a negative. After all, if he reacts that way now, she can believe he'd react the same way later on when her project was the prior commitment; that's a major point in his favor. Breakneck pace? Eh. There isn't much padding, true. Even what looks like padding turns out to be relevant, or necessary to provide a smooth transition. Fine Arts Club to Maid Cafe to Pink Hair to Pink Haired Senpai being a former member of the Fine Arts Club; "padding" that provided a smooth transition path. I'm impressed. Random irrelevant philosophizing follows: Life experience has an impact upon how one looks at things. Someone in their thirties will view things differently from someone in their twenties or teens. (Somewhat relevant to the plot of this anime...) I'm 60, so I'm going to be viewing a lot of things differently from the majority of those active at MAL. That's not a bad thing; if age didn't have an impact upon how you view things it'd mean we never learn anything new, or have new thoughts of our own. It's interesting reading the reactions of others, and seeing how they differ from mine. |

Bruh why did Kawasegawa have to be such an asshole about Nanako’s singing and why didn’t anyone call her out on it? In real life most people would not just sit there as one of their friends gets ripped on for no real reason. More fanservice and now an “adult” that looks and sounds like a child. Also, it feels like everything is too fast. The dialogue is rapid fire with no natural breaks in conversations and the narrative is moving very quickly as well. I’m really trying to give this anime the time it may need, but it’s really testing my patience. |

Why is there a senpai that looks like a kid? urgh Nanako pouring her energy into what she knows she has potential in is fine but wanting to act and wanting to sing aren't mutually exclusive (maybe the group could make a short film about a singer or maybe a musical?). So Kyouya's going to be Nanako's producer/sound engineer, then? Kick start her music career. |

Pointless moments on the beach with obligatory cliche fanservice shit? Check. Senpai who is actually a loli? Check. Melodrama upped to 100 over something that really isn't all that drastic (i.e. because Kawasegawa is just an absolute dick to Nanako)? But of course. It's anime like this that make me realise I am really jaded about certain tropes, particulary those that come up in romance anime like this. And that honestly makes me kinda sad. Even more so as I know there's some decent story potential that I'm unable to enjoy because of those tropes. I'd have probably enjoyed this so much even as recently as a couple years ago, but not anymore. Dropped and time to move onto other things. |

To everyone claiming that Elko is being a bitch you completely fail to understand what she was getting at. To put it simply Nanako has stage fright. Anyone who's gone on stage or wanted to pursue a major career can tell you that they've been through that stage at some point of their lives. Nanako's no exception. Elko may be arrogant but that's because she's passionate about her work, has a no nonsense attitude, and she's very perspective of others. She saw right through Nanako's false persona and told it to her straight. Nanako is hesitating because she's scared to make a commitment and is making excuses, such as taking up acting instead, to avoid facing her fears. She knows it true, that's why she walked out, and so do the others. And on that thought for those of you who are saying that Elko should been called out, what are they going to say? That she's wrong? That she shouldn't be mean? They know she's right, they're well aware of Nanako's inner conflict, but none of them were willing to call her out until Elko did most likely because they didn't want to hurt her feelings. Sorry, that's not how you solve problems. You only make things worse by hand holding and making excuses, which is what Kyoya tried to do by that saying that Nanako was practicing whenever she could. While Elko was indeed harsh sometimes you have to be mean in order to through to someone. You have to speak the truth even when they don't want to hear it. Practice does make make perfect but in the entertainment industry that's not good enough. If you want even a chance to make it to stardom you need to be a hundred percent committed. You can't spend the rest of your life hesitating and then losing your one God given talent because of fear, which was what Elko was trying to tell her. In addition, when it comes team projects and team efforts everyone needs to be on the same page. You can't have conflicts like this present among the teams, that what's leads to delays and disasters. If you still think Elko is a bitch you might want to consider that Elko later confesses that she felt bad about it but like Kyoya said it had to be done. Nanako, on the other hand, finally understood that she has a decision to make. Does she want to look back on her life several years from now and be filled with regrets? Or does she want to pursue her passion for singing and make something out of it? Thankfully she chose the latter thanks to Kyoya's help. |
"You talk too much. Think too much." "I don't care how justified you think your reasons are. I won't tolerate liars or thieves." "If you're not going to be nice to me, don't expect me to be nice to you." "I'm a soldier, not a superhero. Don't ever think of me as one." "The world doesn't revolve around you. Get that through your thick skull." "People who live by their emotions go nowhere in their lives. They only find misery. "If you don't like the way your life is than do something about it instead of sitting there feeling sorry for yourself." "You want something go get it. Period." |

I don't understand the excuses people make for Kawasegawa. Even if she was right about what she said, there are so many things wrong regarding the way she went about saying it. They were sitting there having a good time celebrating, and Nanako was handling the hit she took like a champ, honestly. Personally, my ego would probably be shattered. People have different ways of dealing with things, and that should be respected. Just because you like to cry and yell it out, doesn't mean that it's the absolute solution to dealing with failure. Some people prefer to be left alone to think stuff through, and there is no point in changing something that works for them. Kawasegawa knows basically zero things about Nanako, but she went ahead to be a party pooper and be so rude to a person for... her own satisfaction? Justice? Art? Not friendship for sure. She could have said it in private, she could have listened to her feelings, or she could have just left her alone to figure it out herself. Saying it in front of everyone is basically like saying you are too stupid to figure it out yourself, you're ruining your life (in my personal opinion and I'm always right), so I have to embarrass you in front of everyone and push you into a corner to figure your life out because you are incapable of doing it otherwise. Kawasegawa went ahead and voiced an opinion nobody asked for in the rudest and dumbest way possible. Her execution gave off "people hate me because I'm so honest" energy. No, Stacy, you're just a bitch. And to top it all off, instead of going to Nanako and apologizing, she went to Kyouya so we get to see that she had the "right intentions". If I were Nanako, there is no way in hell I would be able to *not* hold any grudges. And let's not even get into the reaction by everyone else... immensely stupid. In real life, even if you think you know what's best for someone else, nobody will appreciate hearing your opinion when not asked about it (so not only the person in question, nobody). You will be that annoying person in the group that seems to have a superiority complex and annoys the shit out of everyone. And yeah, I do think Kawasegawa has a superiority complex. And don't give me that boohoo she is an artist and appreciates and fights for art bull, please. All of these characters are artists, aren't they? Unrelated to this, the show seems to be getting worse, which honestly makes me sad as the first few episodes got my hopes up. People have pointed out the obligatory beach episode that revolves around boobs, a 2000 years old ahem I mean a few years older loli senpai, and the upcoming maid cafe episode... yay... -.- And honestly, the only likable people in the show so far seem to be Tsurayuki and Nanako, at least for me. Edit: There are two reasons why I think everyone's reaction to the situation was stupid. First, nobody jumped in to say "hey, how about you two talk in private" or "hey, I don't think that this is the right time or place for this conversation" and diffuse the situation. At least the beta simp Kyouya knew that Nanako was hurt ever since she saw the other group's movie, so he would have been the right person to say this. The right reaction by others would have probably been "yo calm down, why are you being so rude all of a sudden". The second thing that bothered me is that nobody went after her. So you won't let her figure out her career by herself, but you will leave her alone to deal with her feelings and not even check if she's alright? They are not as close with Kawasegawa as they are with each other, so even though/if Kawasegawa was right, nobody decided to take Nanako's side. At the end of the day, you are supposed to support your friends and defend them in front of everyone even if they are doing something you don't agree with (and don't take this out of context, I don't mean support them in addiction or crime or whatever). You can express your concerns *to your friend privately*, but ultimately, you're not the one living their life. Kawasegawa is not her friend and the lame excuses for friends she has decided not to have her back. Beta simp Kyouya did at least say at some point that she was trying and practicing with him, but Kawasegawa was like "well you ain't trying hard enough wimp". The audacity on this bitch, I just can't. And the fact that nobody said anything to that either... I would throw hands honestly. Edit 2: I would also like to add that I have noticed Kyouya's savior complex growing over time. He is becoming the other side of the coin that Kawasegawa is the face of, so I see why they will probably end up together in one way or another, romantically or as coworkers, once Kyouya reaches her level. |

Hey, it's the beach episode we see in the ED... and it didn't even last 2 minutes. Meh, I feel robbed. I was surprised that Eiko didn't slap Kyouya though. It seems that they are already in their second semester and have even made a project together. That was fast. New character. Cute pink haired loli voiced by Naoimi Oozora <3. Poor Nanako, although Eiko was right in what she said, she was still quite harsh. At least she felt bad about it afterwards. I'm not really a fan of how the MC has the solution to everything tbh, but at least Nanako has her confidence back and is back on track. |

Not the biggest fan of how this skips around. We're already in the second semester, it skips over every song, or every project they make; it makes it hard to care about what's going on without seeing their work in action. I didn't mind Nanako's little development this episode. There are some people who opt for something else to protect themselves from failure in something they do love. A little worrying how often this uses the tired and old cliches we've seen before. As good as the show looks and as good as the premise is, I'm finding this a little lackluster. |

A BEACH EPISODE SCENE! It last a good few minutes, but I will take it. Cute girls in swimsuits is always a W. Eiko getting the short end of the stick though and I am surprised she slapped the cause and not the one who got an eye full XD Why is it that every time a film wins, we don't get to see the end result of said winning film. It's always the one that didn't win. Eh, can't complain too much as team Kitayama won in the end and caused the necessary development afterwards for Nanako. Eiko was harsh on with her critics but it's what Nanako needed, that little push to strive for what she loves. |

If Kyouya didn’t bring her back from feeling sorry for herself then she would have been much worse off than if Kawasegawa said nothing because at least she was going to post her singing online with Kyouya. Most people do not react favorably when people confront them like this about their shortcomings. Often it causes them to close themselves off more or makes them more resolute in their ways out of spite. If one of my friends went at another friend for something like this, I would have called them out on it because that won’t help someone that is already stuggling with an issue. I’m sure most people in real life would do the same. |

Well, the second project already, and they've got a beach time. Nice! Too bad its just short, and that cliche. Rakuonji got that little slap, poor him. Film making process, and some loli graduated pink-haired senpai suddenly appeared out of nowhere and made a deal with Kyouya. Well, now that's some convenience development, i'd say. Because with that appearance, and later deal, its moved Nanako heart completely. Then, with that being said, everything seemed to be fine in the end of the day. Okay, i guess. Eiko role already bold on this episode inside of the team. Well, its not like she was out of character, just, not expecting to be like that. She already told a straight issue about Nanako's seriousness, gave some mighty push to Nanako, created some little disturbance to the team in the middle of the episode. Still, with how convenience the second paragraph above, everything solved smoothly. Its looks like the usual school festival event will be the best place to redeem all those previous discordant mumble. Right, Kyouya? |

the drama they've been making for this show is so fucking badddd they made nanako and her room BLACK AND WHITE to make it look like she's in a really bad place omfg what kind of trick is that? even cringy gacha club videos can do better than that nanako talking with the teacher after them getting a win too ???? what?? just because the other students said some stuff?? you dont doubt your teacher who's a professional because of a couple of talks tf this whole episode is just ...... .. ??? it represents the anime well ig. its only been 4 episodes out of 12 but i honestly dont think we're gonna get any better than this, they skip the whole film making / them working and producing things when thats one of the main appeal of this show just for some shitty melodrama |

I thought episode 2 was bad, episode 3 wasn't so bad.. but now it's back with the weird drama... lizzziziz said: This was the main problem with me. The drama started because of Nanako's acting vs singing passion but we didn't even see her acting lol it makes it hard to sympathize with the characters, the drama just makes me laugh.they skip the whole film making / them working and producing things when thats one of the main appeal of this show just for some shitty melodrama We don't get the film making, instead fanservice beach scenes. We don't get to see their movie and Nanako's acting, just the drama stemming from it. |

Weakest episode so far, which isn't necessary a bad thing, considering every episode has been good. I guess the only reason I rated it slightly lower is because Nanako is the least interesting female character of the bunch. Not to mention Aimi just isn't as good as Koga or Nao-bou. Still enjoyed the episode though. |

I just finished the episode and I feel like I missed something. When did Kyoya record Nanako's voice? |

Clearly her acting wasn’t THAT bad if they got 1st place, so why would everyone immediately start insulting her solid performance when there was undoubtedly much worse performaces during the screening. Oh I forgot, to force more melodrama. |
