| Episode 22 : Vol. 7, Ch. 55[end]-57 Episode 22. Ohhh. I totally forgot that Hojou was in Block B with Nao and Megumi. She only got a score 87 so she beat Nao but was beat by Hisako. That would've been nice to know. HAHA. I didn't see the name that they bumped down in the last episode but I suppose that it was hers. MANNN. So many of the main characters are in each Block and only four of them are going to get to continue on. Does this mean that the ones who aren't chosen leave the school? I mean, I don't think so because the ones that weren't selected are still attending to watch this election. AWWWW. One of our Polar Star girls made it!! I keep on forgetting her name but she's so cute. The one who doesn't have boobs. HAHA. Also, the brothers. YESSS. Their little rivalry, mang. I want to try this challenge so much. HAHA. Isami really wants to beat his brother, mang. So he was the one that booted Nao out of the competition but she's completely fine with it since she now has a new person that she can stalk. Man. I wonder how does the author create so many dishes for the challenge. They must've done so much research because all of their characters are so vast. That's exciting. We learned what the Mezzaluna was to the brothers. It's a nice metaphor. So Takumi is the one that bumped down Hojo. HAHA. Alice just goes right in. I still wonder if the MC knows how to cook, too. Alice deals with the scientific types of cooking. She looks like an alien so it's fitting. HAHA. Alice, of course, is now in first place. Wait. No. She's the one that bumped down Hojo. OHHH. I didn't realize that Hojo and Isami tied. Man. MEGUMI'S TURN. HAHA. Awww. Her homeland old guys came out to support her. I didn't know that this event was open to the public. HAHA. STILL. That's so sweet. Megumi is so sweet. I want to say that she's like me but she's so much better than what she really says. AWWW. MEGUMI IS IN FOURTH PLACE, bumping Hojo and Isami down. My heart. Hurts so much for the others. HAHA but awww. Megumi`` |

| I'm so glad Megumi made it to the top ;w; I think it was best that she's in Group B cuz if she was in Group A with Souma, I doubt she could make it :/ No wonder that she was that skilled at cutting Monkfish *o* Her confidence was a huge success and I'm proud of her ^w^ I was surprised that Houjou got out of top 4. Her dish was very impressive and creative! *.* Can't wait to see the Group A side :) |

| -MEGUUUUUMIIIII!!!!!!! Now that she's no longer chained, she is ascending and overturning everyone's expectations and perceptions of her. -Poor Isami. He feels inferior, but only allows the complex to manifest as brotherly competition and maintains humility, while respecting the skill of his brother and views it as great rather than succumbing to jealousy. -Alice at it again with the most intriguing and delicious of dishes. -I'm quite liking how Orie has been bestowing titles upon the contestants. -I'm surprised at how much I care about the side characters and desire to gain more insight into their backstories. |

| megumi is probably one of my favorite characters, her ambitions are very well written and shes likable. wonder whats going on in block a though... |
| The episode had begun with a battle against brothers with Takumi's triple-layer pasta winning over Isami's calzone but despite the idea of one of them overshadowing another running about, they have proven that they won't allow that to be the case by believing in each other's skills. Alice wowed the judges with her delicious gimmicky but aesthetically-pleasing food prepared with cutting-edge technology, giving her the highest score in the preliminaries. It's getting more and more tense in Room B as prodigy after prodigy rise through the ranks of the Top 4. Room A on the other hand has a really awkward atmosphere with all the reject dishes so far. I'm really glad that Megumi's dish had made its way into the Top 4, signifying that she doesn't need to be held by the hand to do anything anymore and showing that her hardships had finally paid off ♥ |

| Maybe I'm the odd one here but I'm disappointed that Megumi made it this way. It's so predictable and annoying when they always go with Megumi character like this: 1. Megumi being an underdog. 2. Megumi being a wimp and everyone looks down on her. 3. Flashback about her past (as cliche as it might be) and it gives her strength (your typical shounen power-up). 4. Megumi somehow wins (Shinomiya part counts, too) despite the fact that they always note her cooking skills are nothing outstanding, always getting F and stuffs. They never show how she changed from a F-receivers bottom-in-class cook to a feeling-home "good" cook. Does that mean she never shows that cooking style in the past? Just because she met Souma, she changed? It's so hard to notice the reasons that I don't feel sastified at all. 5. Her opponent learns something from her. 6. Megumi turns back into an underdog and a wimp. I mean not that I find any other characters having a chance. All of them have little to no time build-up to actually pass. However, I just hate how they deal with Megumi character and her development always regresses after each arc. I hope that she actually changes after this arc. Aside from that, I like Aldini brother part. |

| Doesn't look like this is going to get resolved this season. Still enjoy what's going on especially the shit-stank that is the other side where everyone is getting zero points. Hope AS/TNAMI gets to the 2nd season immediately. This dub is good and this anime is good. Need more food ecchi. |

| Megumi is just too precious! And a really touching backstory to boot. Looks like this awakened something in Hojo-san, I see. xD @ Hisako-oneesame, btw. I get the feeling she's still a diamond in the rough however but I'm looking forward to seeing how much more she'll develop from here onwards. Block B is done and dusted now. Group 1 seems to be riling up even more so can't wait to see how that goes next up. |

| Woooow that ending. My opinion on Megumi rose up a lot now, she struggled a lot to get where she is. Also Yuki did a great job, sadly she didn´t make it. Both Aldini were incredible, Takumi acting as big brother makes me appreciate him even more. Two episodes left already... |

| Great episode, and I love the focus on various contestants in this block with presenting their dishes, keeps the block to be competitive and tense constantly as new names keep showing up on the big screen and names that did well drop out of it as well. Everyone's got their respective stories and motivations like Isami with trying to showcase his skills on his stage rather than being all the time in Takumi's shadow, Miyoko trying to win to take over the restaurant in a currently-sexist environment, and Megumi of course, being the near-failure from the start of the show who no one really acknowledged beyond her loved ones who supported her the whole time until meeting Soma, plus wanting to stand out on her own by utilizing the confidence she's been gaining recently to put on the plate. I love how these stories come together in different kinds of dishes, with some resulting in success and some resulting in failure but also driving them to do better next time. Some dishes there were creative, some wholesome, some made for the most expensive restaurants, but all packed with different visions and delicious flavors. The A Block is the bigger block given Soma, Hayama and some other fierce competitors being there, but the anime did some real justice with the B Block portion. Loved the showcase and pacing as a whole. Even if the titles given to each solid contestant after a good dish were a bit too corny. |

| It looses impact when the judges act sceptical, takes a bite and stiffens up while explaining the awesomeness of the dish too many times/episode. I'm glad Megumi made it! She's got some staunch supporters in those fishermen. :) |
