One more thing, can someone explain to me what the hell happened when Mozgus was hit by that big eyed demon, he was screaming, then screaming some more, fell down, everyone was attacked by tentacles, and the next time we see him he shoots FIRE in that spiral staircase?

I just......like...HOW? And what is up with this sound design, the two screams don't even match the visuals

The one eyed demon is another apostle. What he does to the priest and his group is pretty much turn them into mini apostles. Its similar to what happened with the pagan leader who had a goat on his head.

Thanks, I looked up this part in the manga yesterday, in the anime it looks like the demon is attacking all of them, even hitting Mozgus to the ground, in the manga it doesn't look like it's hitting or attacking them at all, which would explain why they suddenly show up on the top of the staircase using magic of some sort

Anyway, looks like the scene was just not translated into anime very well

Yes, probably in the last episode. This one was pretty decent, I liked it. Especially when they are just following manga.

Can someone please explain to me why another studio/director like the creators of attack on titan/naruto/one piece/one punch man/mob psycho 100 takes on the berserk anime series project? I mean it is the most read manga in the world i think? You are almost certain to be successful with the series?

This is a REALLY awesome guide explaining EXACTLY what went wrong with this production by the way, i found it super interesting! The problems go WAY deeper than the CGI, the cgi is not even the problem. However as the guy says in the video, Berserk is still Berserk, and i still cant help feeling excited everytime guts swings that sword :)

shit adaptation but at least it still manages to entertain me with the recent events. Ufotable should be adapting this instead of borefest Tales. I'm just glad this adaptation isn't as bad as I initially thought. Actually have high hopes for next episode. I've been waiting to see them moving for years.
Since I've been trying to avoid watching this till now, I just noticed the shit rating. This adaptation is shit but the recent episodes shows that Berserk fights are still awesome even in a shit adaptation.

Trust me none of these Studios mentioned can adapt berserk, the animation is just too much to be animated as "skuga" (animation technique),due to high quality of the art in the manga i mean just see how much detail Miura put in one single page,CGI was the only choice to conserve budget and time.Ufotable took almost 2 years animating fate/zero with HUGE budget and we have 5-6 fight scenes in 24 ep , where berserk almost every ep has fight scenes and it can go for more than 100 ep if they adapt all the manga.
I am currently enjoying berserk despite the cgi at least we have it animated after all these years.

The CGI was a new level bad in this episode. I can only hope it is because they focused their budget on the next episode.

Human interaction/dialogue scenes that focus on faces are a common problem with CGI animes. But fight scenes can be better animated with CGI. This anime does nothing good with CGI. Fight scenes consists of still models and there is no lip sync in dialogues.

I think so too even though I have anything to do with animation creation nor I working in this industry not like some peoples who sounds like they does... And to me is little wierd than peolpe complaining that much about someting when they get it for free, in this case - illegally, and than says ''we deserve more''... And some of these people gave high scores for anime who was just very haped or have high quality animation, or both, but have poor plot and cliche characters... And it's kida silly to compare adaptation with original story, almost all the time latter will be better, so don't expect to much especially from this huge and complex work. Do not put a spoke in your wheel. And If you still don't like it - don't watch it, simple, do not be a masochist. :) Say what you want, but still this version of Berserk is better more thant 90% of anime which coming these days.

Yup, he's a ninja alright :

That epic staredown + Susumu Hirasawa's Hai Yo =

And something I forgot to mention in the previous episode discussion : the english version of the ED song is pretty damn good...although it took me a few seconds to notice the change, because you know...that engrish xD

Thanks for sharing this. Most of those issues were actually touched on in previous episode discussions. Some people, including me, are in the fifth stage of grief, viz. accepance.
Others started to lower subconsciously their expectations to the point that the anime even appears to get better.

Farneese is my #1 most hated character. God damn, she's annoying... I like Serpico though. He's a cool dude. I wish he wouldn't stick with her. She honestly doesn't deserve him.

I actually have respect for that one angel dude who burns when the sun touches his skin. I wish he'd find a new way of life since he doesn't like torturing people... Maybe he'll have a chance since he was the only one to receive backstory.

Other than that, kick their asses, Guts!

Tho Nina's despicable & should've died ages ago, her characterization is well done.
With how dark Berserk goes nice Luca lives (tho she prolly dead first if she's in Danganronpa).
Luca x Desu Knight starts?
Violins sound good.
Each flying dude matches Berserk in speed, looks like a tough fight.

Absolutely. If every character was as noble as Luca, nobody would stand out. Besides, I think that makes Nina more relatable than her. She actually acts like a real human would. She puts her own life first, yet hates herself for her cowardly behavior. Her anxiety and desperation also make the berserk world more belivevle. She reflects our own weaknesses and thats probably why most people hate her.

Skull Knight saved Luca cool!
That demon baby is protecting Casca! brutally no affinity!
LOL Guts is scaring Farnese too much! he's about to snap! That was great!
Puck is now being visible to all.
The end part was so awesome! next episode is hype clashing brutal fights!
5/5.

The entire last scene was actually incredible. Hirasawa's music elevated it to an entirely different level. It's amazing how his music is able to do that, time and time again. As @Zee530 said above, they're starting to get some things right more and more. Makes me wish Hirasawa could have done the entire OST, instead of the Bleach composer.

The monsters were a little more fucked up than last time 0~0

Farnese feeling powerless and mindblown by all those weird creepy creatures (Puck :3)

Nina still acting like a backstabbing pussy ~_~ Good thing Luca was saved by Shinigami Skull Knight-kun.

Turns out that Father Squarehead knows pyromancy and he and his buddies are Hell's Angels. Loving the music ♡

I'm glad Casca was unharmed. Her powers and Mozgus' have awoken.
I was unaware Mozgus had any powers to begin with. Wings? Not only him but also his henchman. I guess you can't really fake that.

How did Casca just fall into Mozgus' hands?

Farnese finally can see Puck.
Skull Knight is back and saves Luca.

The next battle looks like a tough one.

okay the reply is a little late but watch the last 40-50 minutes of the third movie, its pretty pointless replying to a 5 year old post but still, the skull knight just appears from the sky, attaks one of the god hand, the runs down the massive hand, swoops casca and guts and runs away

I'm starting to feel sorry for the blonde girl. She might have been an annoying, cowardly cunt at times. But could you really blame her for wanting to stay alive? So yeah, I don't blame her for cracking under minimal torture. But what was that part about wanting do to drop Luca? I mean, the one person that has looked out for her the entire time and she was thinking about letting her drop to her death? What the fuck.

I still don't understand the deal with Casca and what the demons want from her. The whole point of the brands was that those people had to be eaten for Griffith to become all powerful. So why is that mutated baby protecting her? Is it part of a plan to use Casca as bait to lure Guts to them?

And then it's revealed that Heaven is real too, I guess? I love how crazy Mozgus' face got when the demons broke through the door. But seems they weren't demons, as I first thought, but angels. I guess they're going with the "angels are no better than demons" route then, which is fine by me. I like it.

Man, I said it a few episodes ago as well, but I'll say it again: These episodes seem to be filled with so much stuff happening... It's hard to process everything that happens in 1 episode. Guts really seems to be in a bit of trouble now. Fighting 7 or 8 knights. Oh, almost forgot the appearance of the Skull Knight, that random character that came out of nowhere. He was about to fight a boss-battle as well. I guess next episode will be one to remember.

Only 3 episodes left. I hope the ending to this series will be a bit more conclusive this time around. If they leave me on another cliffhanger with more questions than answers, I'll probably take a break and go read the manga. Or start watching something else. I started watching this season with the hope of getting some answers about how Guts & Casca got away. But I cast that hope aside pretty quickly.

Still Berserk 2016 is good, very good.

Edit: Be warned, there's a spoiler above. Leave now.

Dude, that's a spoiler.

It looked like the sacrifice mark reacted to the situation Casca was in so it protected her from dying so maybe you could say that know one is allowed to kill a person with the brand other than the demons themselves
