I can't believe it finally happened... I finished Attach on Titan, after 10 YEARS.
I didn't want to read the manga on purpose, even though a lot has been spoiled over the years.
But, this has been a decade-long journey and it leaves me with an uncertain feeling at the end.
I think of people like Etika, who will never get to see the end of this show. I think of the main characters, as kids, that were thrown into their world and corrupted/tortured/placed in a constant fighting mode. I feel sad for those children, they should live free, but at the same time - I came to terms with War going hand-in-hand with humanity.
Was this the right 'resolution'? Can there even be a resolution as long as there are humans?
I don't mind this show posing those questions. It's very... human in that way.
I just can't believe the journey ended finally... I am not sure how I feel about this yet, but I'm glad I got to go on it!
Can't help but understand the 'blessing' they talked about, and the futility. Perhaps they go hand-in-hand as well.
Cheers to everyone, the creators and the author - THANK YOU!
For some reason, I can't stop thinking of "Akuma no Ko" ending theme to the Final Season... Eren's dream, hopes and love for those dear to him.
And love that can last 2,000 years.
"The world is cruel, but I love you"
