Lol having chili nails is a weird problem that nail clipper is a capricious one. I really like this story, I related to Takaharu in school, very emotional moment.

The thing that still bugs me is how Ramune knows exactly what to do in each situation, it seems like he always knows what is going on before anyone else. Very talented doctor.

Another strange case to deal with. But really, those fingernails are far from ordinary.

Ramune just really can't catch a break in regards to the strange problems of everyday life. I'm also not surprised this episode got somewhat emotional in terms of storytelling. It's not easy seeing a character's life change so much.

The way Bungo cry with frustration reminds me of Bakugou.

And Bungo and Takaharu are definitely a couple!

Interestingly that this episode the victim is not a bad person.

I thought the nail clipper hide itself immediately when Ramune touch it because Ramune is hiding is true talent too, but well, the textbook maybe right LOL

Well, those were definitely not the normal fingernails. Pepper-fingernails LMAO
Another strange case. This time due to the person feeling sympathy for his friend. Poor Takaharu, he was just being considerate of his friend but he didn't know that it was rather making their friendship weak. Results were, those Pepper-Nails.
Good episode IMO.

So this episode focused on Takaharu having chili pepper fingernails. The cause was due to Takaharu hiding his true self from others because he was covering for his friend Bungo and make him look good.

kinda weird episode, but i guess all of these episodes are pretty weird so that doesnt really mean aniything. anyhow, im wondering how he managed to hide the chilli nails? or was he the only one who could see them besides people like ramune and stuff? since he was hiding them but when he raced with his friend it looked like his friend didnt notice anything.

This episode is good also, but, has anyone else noticed that 3 out of the 4 episodes have a food in them?

It's quite interesting how all the mysterious diseases are food related. Even Dr. Ramune's name is based off of a popular japanese drink.

This show has really good VAs in almost every episode, I wonder if it's popular in Japan. It was a good episode, their friendship was really wholesome.

Yeah, hiding something is one of many options available, and its not so easy to decide it, especially when its associated with the human relations. The same case happened with those boy, and his youth life, that somehow attached a mysterious disease to his fingernails. Its a chilli peppers! The one way to get rid of it, just, acknowledged your trueself, your own talent, and be done with it. Stop hide it anymore. But, don't forget to keep it low, as if its not disturbed the relations to your relatives. It will be just fine.

Anyway, interesting that not every mystery item like someone as mysterious as Ramune sensei. Some weird stuff like those clipper, really love to chose its own desire owner, before they could use it. Lol. Its strange, but, yeah, thats how the mystery items works.

Well, fine with it, and to the next weirdo stuff again, shall i?

Liked this one a lot, nothing like a classic rivalry, except it went sour for a while, but they patched it up nicely. Looks like next week is the beginning of a 2 parter? Interesting.

When Takaharu came up to Kuro and Ramune with chili pepper fingertips, how did NO ONE catch the subtle reference to Red Hot Chili Peppers?

Luckily, this is only an instance of a "mysterious disease" that's one of the easiest cases to handle, at least so far. This episode in particular felt like taking a page off from Tomozaki-kun or Horimiya (in regards to Miyamura and Ishikawa), but adding the mystery element.

The adage of being true to oneself, as friends-cum-rivals between Takaharu and Bungo, the former always one step ahead of the latter, but letting him have everything that he has now, which causes conflict, regardless of sympathy.

Good that with Ramune and Kuro's help (of disguise), helping both guys properly resolve their conflict with a race to finish things off. Something like the Purse's Nail Clipper, a good ending.

Another enjoyable episode. Next episode, a 2-parter? Interesting!

That was a good episode, I like that a patient actually managed to solve his inner problem with little intervention from Ramune. Them eating pasta with chili peppers right after seeing those chili pepper nails is nasty lmao.

Is it just me or is Bungo's VA Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next episode, looks like it'll be our first 2-parter.

This is weird how he's hiding his abilities just for his friend like that, he could just stay "good" while giving him the 2nd place but he just switched to a really lame guy look and skills, it's stupid, but well this show is so weird anyway we're talking about a guy with chilli pepper instead of his nails

Because the characters are cell shaded, the chillies looked like really well painted nails.

This actually had a beautiful friendship between two guys that didn't end with me shipping them. lol It's such a rare thing for me.

When Ramune touched the nail clippers, they hid themselves back in the pouch. While they made a joke of it toward the end, based on Ramune's reaction, I feel like he may be hiding himself as well. Also, I wonder if Kuro can open the pouch.

Anyway, Takaharu is so adorable! I wanna pinch his cheeks!!

That's some demonic nails. How the hell no one noticed those nails? His sleeves wasn't enough to hide those, the teacher should've seen it when taking the test paper and Bungo should've seen it when racing....๏_๏

Ramune looked all cool in that shirt but when they showed the feet...those sandals, looked like he does some weird cult XD

When he clipped those nails and chilly pepper fell from it, I was kinda disgusted ( ̄▽ ̄)

What Takeharu did was really stupid.
Why act like you can't do it when you definitely can. What he did is mocking those people who try their hardest but still can't accomplish something they want to accomplish.

since ramune can't open it, i wonder if that means he's hiding his true strength...

that's cause ordinary people can't see mysterious diseases. it's been established since the beginning

Wow the guest voice actors!!!! Previous episode with the thief we had Suzuki Tatsuhisa & this episode Matsuoka & Nobunaga!!!! Even Niconii is Nobu! And of course Yuuma ♡___♡

Ramune is hilariously endearing lololllol

And I don’t normally like episodic kind of anime or find them difficult to get into or hold my interest but I like this! Another great episode. What a friendship!

Great about episode about friendship! Wonder if they coincidentally got Matsuoka and Zakki to voice the friends or they did it cuz Kirito and Eugeo. I'd like to think it's the latter :>

I also liked the theme about being true to yourself and how respecting others means that you don't hide your abilities. It also gave me a new take on the idea of winning, how being happy about winning something (with your own effort) also shows that your opponent(s) was difficult to defeat :D Well, not always, lol, but it made sense in this episode. Glad the two are still friends!

This was actually a very nice episode. Really enjoyed it. In the end the two friends solved the issues. At least they did not tie, it would have been cliché, lol. The secret to the clippers, I was expecting something else to be honest. Something intense.

Weird way of trying to fail a test by first writing the correct answers...

On a sidenote seeing all those food related dishes I'm pretty sure the Mangaka was hungry while creating the story

Episode 2 had this scene where the patient rips this gross goop off his finger in the process of giving back a ring to a woman he just confessed to cheating on. I may be misremembering since I watched it half a year ago, but I remember being appalled that the lady made no acknowledgement of how FU'd his finger was. Anyways, this episode expanded that moment into an entire climax scene. Not once does Bungo indicate an awareness of the chili peppers that Takaharu is no longer covering with a sweatshirt. There are so many different moments of sheer "no way he didn't notice that, right?" from the starting lines where the runners put their hands to the ground and their faces to their hands, to the duration of time for which Bungo trails behind Haru - his bright red extensions leaving an impression on my eyeballs as he swung his hands in and out of frame - to the scene after finishing where Haru literally touches his veiny fingers to his face while Bungo is talking to him. When he went afterwards to try and open the Magical Nail Clippers of Judgement, I was like, 'should I even really care about the chili peppers anymore? Nobody in Haru's life seems to, anyway." The chili peppers were never really shown to hinder him at any point, unlike how Ep1-girl's illness got in the way of her job. It just feels like a very thin excuse to force him into not being a terrible anime rival character - a cause that the narrative spends far more time concerned about. As far as I'm concerned, the real ailment cured was the friend Haru made up with along the way.
