as the series was confirmed to be one cour, we move on with the main plot. Sylvasta being the main sponsor of Anima City speaks with the mayor to reject Ginrou worshipers, siding more with humans and clearly having some different goals

the plot of the episode revolves around albatross Pingo which tries to commit an attack on the mayor, having reasons as "having equal beastmen rights doesn't mean being free", as he refers to the policies getting stricter in Anima City. other interesting thing is that Michiru and Nazuna can shapeshift into winged beastmen now

I hate how the fact that ZA WARUDO revolves around that dense MC, she is literally oblivious to the fact that she's pushing her own sense of "justice" onto people and it's literally p1ssing not only me, but a lot of other people off that she is not learning from her mistakes after being told straight to her. This episode was really insignificant tbh, except for the fact that the cult is getting more clout after stopping a terrorist act. Besides this episode I hope the MC gets NTR'd

Sylvasta pisses me off with his whole speech about "civilizing beastmen".

I rather liked Pinga though, and I'm glad they were able to stop him before he did anything really dangerous. I can see where he's coming from, for a people that stuck between human and animal.

Michiru continues to annoy me. What her friend did was obviously a stunt, I wouldn't be surprised if they hired the other terrorist to do it "according to plan". It seemed way too staged.

Pinga was a legend, the flight scenes were exhilarating. This is the second time Michiru has almost fallen to her death, but this time she sprouted wings. I'm not sure how her power works or why she couldn't grow wings the first time. They're still nailing the music and animation.

If you mean legally as in, "it's come out on Netflix anywhere but Japan" then no, it's going to take a while for that, and that's for the whole series.

Ey, it's back!!! Great episode!

The Albatross was a nice guy after all! Something about his voice, I recognize it in a way, but still sounds different than what I am thinking!

Michiru can also fly, what the actual.... Her shapeshifting powers are only getting more diverse with every episode! That and same goes for Nazuna as well!

He clearly wasn't right. This two flying beastmen were attempting terrorism, this was clear evidence why beastmens need to also be checked when traveling (like humans) because if not this could be easily abused by drug traffickers, contrabands etc.

After a long wait, we start with the 2nd half. 1st half is already very impressive, and can't wait to see how things'll shape up.

After learning from close friend Nazuna of her beastmen trivial betrayal as the Silver Wolf idol, Michiru has nowhere to go, and albatross beastkin Pinga (Pingu?) shows up unannounced as Animacity mayor Barbaray and investigation officer Shirou continues their research onto the Silver Wolf cult.

And yet, the humans still have the upper hand in understanding the oppression, starting from Alan Sylvasta whose human thoughts linger heavily upon Barbaray.
Democracy or socialism? We be the judge.

NGL I quite like Pinga's character, and he's a honest-to-good person, and to birds the oppression factor is as unanimous as a simple gesture, but for him to be a terrorist, it just seems as if the anti-beastmen faction is gaining ground and becoming the same as the human landscape, and ANYONE looking to be a valuable tool is asking for just desserts.

One good thing for Michiru is that she obtains her flying form, finally to stability after trying and failing time and time again.

The publciity of the Silver Wolf is aptly timed, I've gotta give it that as the terrorism plot goes lost. Still, it's still a problem...

I'm sure the assassination plan was just a part of the ploy, the cult wanted it to look like that Nazuna saved Alan Sylvasta from the assassin and get the citizens support by doing it.

Also wow so both Nazuna and Michiru have the power to transform into several beasts or atleast partial transformation, interesting.

The ED shows her with wings, although there, they grow from her back and not on her arms, but still. This shouldn't be a surprise. The OP also hints at her being able to fly.

Well, it seems Michiru didn't learn shit after that sour conversation with Nazuna. Seven episodes in and I still can't connect with our naive MC.

So-so episode. The Albatross dude didn't really leave a remarkable impression and his deal could have been handled in half the time of the episode.
The only interesting moment was the last minutes with Nazuna "conveniently" saving Alan. Quite sure the whole assassination plan was staged so let's see how things will play out now that the shady-as-fuck cult gained a more positive image.

Now Alan Sylvasta got more screen time and dialogue than the half of the season before. Surprising how Michiru and Nazuna can fly well and grew some wings. What happen to them? And what kind of sickness they got? I hope more episode can explain that question for the story detailed. And btw, nice beastmen there. A black and white eagle? Very nice episode and more mystery of the beastmen problem of its law, may be more focused in the next attempt.

Episode that puts the intrinsic ambivalence in the freedom of choice in the plot, which represent a double-edged sword, this implies that during a decision-making process, a deepening work is done on what is being analyzed. If on the one hand the narration conveys a basic message, on the other it carries on the story and makes the situation seen previously evolve, making the viewer understand even a little the character of Alan's character. Excellent drawings and animations especially.

So Michiru is Kars ? Makes sense ..... not actually it doesn't but at least the op is clearer now.

This show fell so much in quality, now it feels like episodic comedy with children cartoon morals, all the mafia subplot has been given up, how did Michiru could switch back to human as well and most of the characters are the exact same since episode 1.

This had so much potential, I'm disappointed Trigger

This is where the anime is getting more into the social-political conflict instead of Michiru’s adventures. Pinga’s story was good, in the end, if they are beastmen, they kind of have instinct, despite the whole nature of a beastmen hasn’t been explained at all (I’m referring to the instincts). So, Michiru and Nazuna can transform into different animals, that’s the reason of Nazuna transforming into a glowing fox then, and as Rose said, they’re specials, probably artificially created. Now Alan is indebted to them, what is this little bastard gonna do.

Too many users here was expecting Michiru's character development to happen almost all at once in this episode. A bit naive to hope for that too quickly, huh?

Anyways, I wasn't expecting Michiru to learn quickly from Nazuna's betrayal from the last episode, so it was nice to have some of the focus on the new character to appear in this episode, Pinga, the beastman albatross.

Aside from me wanting to call him "Pingas" instead, his role in this episode was interesting. He yearns to have the freedom like normal albatrosses, but since he's a beastman, he has to abide to the rules of travelling like any other human would. It did make for an interesting topic for this episode to ponder on.

However, the cult is already making their move once more. The scene near the end where they "rescued" Alan from the hunter albatross was obviously staged for the publicity. They know that the Sylvesta Pharmaceuticals plays a big role in Anima City, so getting Alan on their side will get them further along towards their main goal.

All the more reason for me to dislike Boris and Nazuna even more. The only thing that Nazuna has over Michiru is that she has her goal and she's fully committed to it, without hesitating whatsoever. Michriu's sad smile at the end reflects on how she needs that character development a lot more now than ever before. I'm expecting that to happen over the next few episodes, since there's only 5 left.

I liked Pinga way more than Alan. I wanted to see more of Alan to get a feel of his character but I guess he's just your typical rich character with lots of power/influence and obviously discriminates against beastmen. That last part of him getting kidnapped seemed really staged.

Such a good series so far. I love the little details like Michiru's change in expression at the end. I really hope we see Shirou and Michiru partnering up more often from here on cause we had a few episodes where it was just shirou in the background and Michiru going off on her own adventures.

This literally is just Beastars X Kill la Kill XD.

But yeah I was still on the fence with who to ship but Im definitely sticking with Shirou X Michiru. They make a good team and compliment each other nicely. The friend is a bit meh. Im a huge yuri lover but for once the normal couple wins me lol.

At this point we can see that in the treatment after Nazuna and Michiru's accident, someone turned both into these morpho quimeras.

But who?

- The medical group? It is the most obvious culprit. Nazuna's mentor and the company heritor are all playing togheter. The objective? Take over Animalia and made it the capital of new world after turn all humans into quimeras? Ok, now maybe i lose the rail, but this show looks predictable.

- The mayor? THAT would be a plot twist.

Already over the half of the series. That's pity, i was prepared to a 25 ep show, but this time again its only 12.

Glad that they could stop Pinga before he committed a crime and also interesting to see his side as beastman following his instinct but is restricted by human rules. That scene of meteor grabbing Alan and Nazuna saving him feels really staged, I wonder if the medical group is in cahoots with the church (Boris Cliff).

So Michiru and Nazuna both can fly now!!???
I think Michiru can also do a complete transformation then. She just doesn't know about it yet.

I believe that they both became some lab rats after their accident when they were human and have no memory about it.

I think that church's behind attacking Alan to fulfill their plan. Seems shady!!

It's getting more and more interesting.

Everything Nazuna said about Michiru is true. Michiru's justice is self-centered and pushy. I've been giving Michiru the side eye since she chastised the greedy bears for trying to get paid, but did nothing when the mink was selling them junk as water filters. Michiru has not learned anything and probably won't. She is an annoying MC.

I like Pingua. Of course Alan is evil, he's like a walking trope of evilness, LOL.

Nazuna's transformations always look majestic, but Michiru's transformations look like an allergic reaction.

It was alright! Nothing really bad to say about it. The albatross's story was cool, the threat had stakes which were shown very well, the action and Wolf Dude were very cool; blond guy was a little generic though but I assume/ hope he'll get better along the way. My only problem with Nazuna is that she's a little to much of a show-off, but that's probably the purpose so I'll allow it. Another thing I really like about the show is the lore of the world and the beastmen altogether, like the freedom of the birds and how the laws and rights and such work. Cool episode!

I've been playing Tears of the Kingdom recently so Pingua gave me some Penn vibes (even though Pingua was around first).

The whole beastmen rights thing reminds me of the equality vs. equity situation. You can't just give beastmen the same rights as humans because they're not just humans. It's like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole: sure, it fits, but it's not the right hole to put that peg into.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sylvasta and that Boris guy are working together. Even if they're not, it's almost a guarantee that Boris hired that mercenary as a setup to make Nazuna and the cult look good.
