THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This series' finale has a RPG-like feel with the character outfits and vibe.

There's a lot of weirdness going around at the same time though along with the giant panda and casino games. I find this episode pretty strange tbh even compared to many of the other episodes lol

I have quite a hard time believing this is the last episode... Especially with the title and the after-credits... Also, it was a bonus round and it felt indeed like a bonus episode, quite the open ending if you ask me.
I'm confused ;_;

Welp, anime-original episode for a finale, since the main story itself (or rather the backgrounds) doesn't fit the stance, it'd be too late to follow, and a Season 2 isn't probable enough.

The entire Paka's Island with the casino gimmicks and the dice games...is just uncanny, along with the RPG feels in character outfits and all. Dat King Punistuki reminds me of the slime in Dragon Quest.

Final journey, to save Iride from a harsh game trap, that sounds easy by playing Hi-Lo to finish his part. But this ain't over to Paka's game.

Too bad an ending like this is just filler. Time to continue the manga instead!

This the last episode. I really wanted to watch more!

So they had a break and played a bonus game.

I'm going to miss this show and its OP. Hope there is a second season.

The bonus stage was nice, Makino really came through with his luck. Speaking of the bastard, I still don't get who was Sumire to him? Was it his girl or what? I'm really interested.

I felt the Iride saving saga was super rushed and didn't carry any thrill at all, unlike the others. Oh well, I guess they were eager to end the show.

Overall this was a nice watch. At first it tried to complicate itself with the unnecessary drama and mystery, but it later ditched that and became just a group of people playing games and saving each other. It also later ditched the survival word to its name and became so light like a plastic container, like they seemed lax of their situation and weren't really desperate to leave the game. Most importantly there wasn't any death or exciting gory stuff, the series only cared about setting its own standard at its own pace. I like that about a series, being itself and not conform to any predetermined standards even if genetic fools throw criticism over it.

Would've liked to have continued with stage ten though!

Quite disappointing that the story made zero progress and nothing was revealed about the world. Even with all of their teasing "this is where the real fun begins" or meeting the previous members for info swaps, it just didn't go anywhere.

This would have been much more fun to watch if they just dropped the whole mystery and danger side and just focus on playing the games.

This was a major disappointment, the show just ended up being a duller version of Danganronpa. The art quality was shit, the episodic format made the story super uninteresting, and the characters were dumb as hell and uninteresting. At least the op was decent.

Ahahaha this episode was epic with all these Dragon Quest Casino references xd

I had fun this ep ngl. The joke with "the real fun begins now" was a bit surprising I guess

However. This was a very disappointing episode storywise.
It's the last episode and instead of answering even one question, they only brought up more by having Iride see his mother down there and then that Mother Iride - Ichiya scene right before the end.
Who is Ichiya? Who were the people with him and why did they look like some participants?- family? In what kind of state is the Iride family? The family photo showed the mother, probably the husband and their son, but the men's hair was blonde... and so on.
Questions over Questions in just one little scene

Guess that was meant for cheering on to read how it progresses or to hype for another season. But I doubt we will get one and I'm not motivated to read whatever the source is

This felt like an OVA episode more than anything, but it was still enjoyable. Like others have said, it wasn't a great final episode. But I won't hold it against the show too much since it relied off source material.
Overall, the show was quite enjoyable, and a hidden gem of the season for me.
There were quite a few notable and even touching moments, like Ep. 11 for example.

Overall, I'd give it a 8/10 for now. Over time, my thoughts may change.

I do not believe this show will get a 2nd season, but I'd gladly watch it if it did.

Pretty garbage last episode in my opinion. To the point where I was confused if MAL's episode count is wrong. It's like it stops dead in the middle of what should be a two-cour series with nothing that makes you want to watch the next season if there even will be one. Just an episode with a bunch of meaningless games, the only conflict being Iride's falling into the unexplained pitfall trap, only to be saved by a mere game of chance that was clearly meant to show some sort of camaraderie but is ultimately still a game of chance? I thought at least that there would maybe be some emotional parts where Oshigiri would want to use the "one request" ticket to save (or at least get information about) his sister, but nope, not even that. No tension, no story progression, no segue into a next season other than literally chopping the story in half at a random spot.

The rest of the season was fine; it was obviously something that wouldn't be completely resolved in the first season, but you expect that some conflict occurs or some information is revealed, essentially a cliffhanger, that would leave you wanting to see what happens in the next season or at least read the manga. But the last episode doesn't even leave me interested enough to read the manga.

6/10 from me. I went down by 1 with my score because of the last episode. I had expected a bit more ...
There seems to be some deeper plot possible or at least hinted at sometimes ... but the pacing is far too slow and I doubt we'll get to see more animated of this one.

Chars were okay. Aki was annoying. So nothing super good. Okayish show that was less good that it could have been.

The longer I have been invested in the series the less appealing I found it, I guess. I hope final season does eventually come out... but considering the amount of characters behind the scenes, the series is setting itself to be as long and complicated (stupidly or not) as Danganronpa was. That would mean another season of games/revelations and then final season which has most conflict and puzzle becomes apparent to the viewer... But I wonder if I need another Danganronpa which is not Danganronpa help me someone

I think it started out too slowly but it became better later on, especially the characters. My final verdict is a 7/10. It's not great but definitely better than average. I wouldn't mind another season (but I doubt we will be getting one..).

A somewhat underwhelming finale, especially with the whole “this is where the real fun begins.” I’ve got more questions than answers, and it didn’t feel like much of an ending, more like an OVA. Perhaps there’s a season 2 on the way but I wouldn’t mind or be that surprised if there isn’t one. Overall I suppose it was a decent series with an interesting premise to pass the time, I don’t regret watching it.

best part of the chapter was the romance talk, our heroes are all alone. It was underwhelming to be honest and felt just like another chapter and ended just like that, the scene with the iride family is only to make us to read the manga, doubt this will get a second season.

Okay so this last episode brought even more questions than answers and didn’t even feel like a final episode. I do like the mysterious nature of this show, but they could have at least thrown us a clue or two of what was happening and given us some more character backstory. That one scene at the Iride house brought even more questions. Who is Ichiya? Who were those people with him that looked like relatives to the players(present & past)? Was that Irides mom and what was with that photo with the blonde man and child? Was that Iride as a child or perhaps her new family? Let’s not forget that in episode 11 when Iride went to Maki-maki’s Capsule he told him he doesn’t remember his past and that his mother is not his biological mother. Was that woman his biological mother or the woman who raised him? So many questions with so many few answers. I will say the first half of the series was really good and had a few moments that made me laugh. (7/10). Will definitely read the manga for answers.

I really liked the anime, but I don't quite like the way it ended. The episode wasn't bad, but it also had nothing in it. It looks like so much is yet to happen, but things ended without anything happening. I was planning to give it a 7/10, but I will give it a 6/10.

Same. I liked the characters, but due to the size of the cast, theywere not properly fleshed out. The premise was interesting but they went nowhere with it.

And this final episode doesn't even try provide any sense of finality (obviously many anime don't get "true" endings, but they usually at least give the sense that the final episode could be the "end" even if many questions are left unanswered/the plot is unfinished).

Without any more seasons, the show as it stands isn't great.

I consider this show another one of the Dark Horses of this season.

I personally liked all of the games, and how they involved every single character in this series and developed them well, we got to know several things about all of them. The games were linked to the characters' development/backstory reveals throughout the show, and i really liked that! The comedy was also a cool bonus to add to the overall atmosphere of this show. Tbh, i liked every character, i didn't particularly disliked anyone.

Still, there are several things about the characters that were not fully explained, and i was really looking forward to that.. will we get a 2nd season for this? I'd sure love to! Game 10 and beyond, let's go!

Well, they are following manga so they technically can't make properly but original ending to season. This is the same case like OPM season 2 they cuted manga arc in half because they wouldn't fit entire arc into one season.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.107/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.191/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.108/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.16/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.78/? - biweekly)
- You and I Are Polar Opposites (Ch.65 - Finished)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

Well that last episode went nowhere at all. Reminded me of Kakegurui's last episode for season 1, had to end on something, but there's more too the manga so they had to go with a safe way to end it. Not bad, just kind of boring. Anime itself was pretty good, only because the characters were fun to watch, everything else was pretty meh.
