| It was so awful I couldn't make if past halfway point. Village pacification nobody can give a damn except for a woman with unstable hormones, pointless info dumb full of names without any meaning for the viewer, heavy handed exposition, terrible dialogues, washed out cliches. It was boring and insultingly stupid at the same time. It has been a while since I saw so unbelievably bad first episode. I can't believe this piece of shit was writer by the author of Grimgar. |

| I just saw first episode. I've jumped here to add Fairy Gone to "watching" list and... it already made me sad. Not series, it's good well it even surprised me in good way but... the current rating already made me sad. Damn people here are kind of ridiculous - it's already rated only 7.07... that's so low... with few more ratings like that it will be soon named "flop". |

| Hmm the setting kinda reminds me of the WW1 but with some fantasy settings. Pretty strong op as well. Though the auction started peacefully it sure got interrupted in a most dramatic fashion. Looks like fairy soldiers after the war joined all manner of professions including that of thieves. Still to think that Veronica was the friend that Marlya was looking for though. The fairies though sure adds a new dimension to the fight between the two ex soldiers though reinforcing the skills of both sides quite well. Marlya's first usage of her fairy though sure had quite the dramatic effect on the fight though. The choice that Free offered Marlya though sure was a interesting one. A strong first ep that did well to introduce quite the intriguing setting and characters with the mix between magic and standard combat being especially so. |

| Hm. I don't know what I expected but... I don't think this was it. Starting off by throwing names and places and dates at me didn't get me going - there really was no way they could have explained that without the heavy exposition? It's not like "There was a war, now it's over" is hard to get across - Full Metal Alchemist and Violet Evergarden did it just fine. Oddly, it was actually quite good at 'show don't tell' when it came to the fairies' powers - Ver's can enter open wounds and make people's blood explode, while Free's is a werewolf with sonic abilities. (He only used the last one after he'd cut Ver, though, so maybe it's a common theme that fairy powers need wounds/blood to work?) And Marlya/Mariya was in the mafia apparently. I didn't realise this until she was just about to leave, and I'm not sure why they even bothered to have her there if she was just going to quit and join Dorothea in the first episode anyway. Maybe it'll come back in later episodes, of course, but as is these characters just seem to exist in a vacuum. Of course Marlya has the super-special fairy primordial instead of whatever happens normally. Sure, why not. This would probably bother me less if we'd actually had an explanation as to what does happen normally - I mean, the synopsis does spell it out but the show sure hasn't, so why should we think Marlya's case is anything special? Others have pointed out the direction issues, and yes, that's a big problem too. Yeah, after a bit of reflection this show hasn't built up a whole lot of goodwill. It'll be a three-episoder for me, I think. Which is a shame! It could have been really interesting - postwar with all kinds of factions fairly equal access to superpowers, in an interesting world where the writers can make whatever rules they like. But no. The music was good, though. I'll admit that. |

| Liked the episode. I did not LOVE it though. I never had been interested in the girls/club anime of that studio. But other than that boring shit they showed they can do action with nice chars and plot when they produced their best work: Kuromukuro. I guess Sirius just were too many chars and not enough episodes - yes it was crap. With 2-cour and nice visuals, nice chardesign and nice musik - as seen in episode 1 - I hope this will be on the same level as Kuromukuro. The only think I did not like were the too many overlays with the city names and dates at the beginning. Other than that nice introductory episode. Can't expect more. It needs some time. Already better than the rushed Sirius with too many factions and chars where I didn't know what's going on. For here it was easy to understand: 2 girls from a village that got burnt in a war. One joining the mafia - without fairy. Other one joining up with some other guy to hunt the guy that burnt the village. She is using a fairy. Main girl gets her fairy as well in episode 1. The other guy finally was from the organization mentioned in the description and main girl now joins. Other chars will get introduced soon. (Hopefully not too fast and with some background for them.) |
| This was my 2nd most hyped new series of the season, this season is done for me, good time indeed to get my plan to watch on par. Will still give the 3 episode rule. |

| Bit of a mixed bag this episode. The action was good, I like the character designs and the soundtrack seems on point. As others have mentioned the way they handled the backstory between the two women was poorly done, it all felt forced and rushed just to get to the action bits. The fairy designs themselves seem quite unimaginative and bland. Reminds me of Xenoblade 2 in terms of concept which i don't mind but nothing so far has grabbed me design wise for the fairies. I just hope it's not all style and no substance. |
| It's like Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis mixed with Ajin, berserks last chapters and 91 days.... Still going to stick around and hope for better plot |
| Okay, this first episode was cool. I like the animation feel and the character design. Free is hot and his Persona, I mean, Deadly Fairy is pretty imposing as well. Veronica, Mariya and their fairies aren't half bad either. The scenario also seems good, can't wait to learn more about it. |

Let's also repeat the same exact flashback we showed literally 10 minutes ago but reading the blonde girl's mind and let's also repeat the name of the hometown of the mc because the audience might not have guessed it. Oh, PA Works, you never cease to amaze me..... |

| I'd say that this was a good start, but it does have one main issue, and that would be the story setup. It just felt hastily put together and it didn't have that much emotion to it as I hoped it would. Hopefully the next set of episodes will flesh out the characters' backstory and present setting a bit better and they'll be more likeable. On the plus side, the soundtrack from (K)now Name was very good, not just from their OP and ED songs, but also the insert songs. The visual quality is also really good and that quality also shines through when the characters are fighting. Not surprisingly, the fairies are CGI and unlike certain other users who despises the CGI choice, I think P.A Works did a decent job with them. The odd frame to two when they were attacking was lacking at times, but the overall design and movements are good enough and doesn't detract from my viewing experience. I hope that the story and character development get better and if it does, I think this show will be pretty good overall. Either that, or I'm pushing my optimism into overdrive. XD |
| That was... surprisingly underwhelming, the weakest of the 5 anime i started this season. It's just the first episode tho so we will see, it might get better. So far, it deserves a 5/10 at best. |

It might have been just to introduce some concepts now and expand on them later, but this first episode had some serious narrative problems. I'll wait a bit to see how they handle it, but this wasn't a good first impression. |

| dang, I rather this anime be about Veronica . Marlya is annoying already Free being shocked about Vers fairy... when his wolf is pretty similar. I am guessing its because of the blood thing? I bet wolf is the leader of the mafia. |

| I'm gonna give it a chance because P.A. Works and the awesome OST. I agree with some on the awkward pacing, questionable cgi use and lack of story. For a more enjoyable first episode this season, I rather enjoyed Kimetsu no Yaiba, but again I'll give it a chance and wait for a couple more episodes to decide if I keep watching it or drop it. |

| As many noticed, the writing is bad. I guess they went beyond (lower than) my expectations. Actually, I don't know yet : is it as bad as Sirius or is it worse ? Too bad, I like the character design (I had some Shingeki no Bahamut genesis flashbacks, why ?), I like the premise but I guess this time again P.A works will fail with the story-telling. Wasted potential. I'll wait for more in case I just had a bad day and I couldn't see the greatness of this one but with this first episode, I'm already lowering my low expectations. |

| OP and the rest of the music was sick. Animation wasn't anything amazing, but it wasn't bad at all. The fairies really remind me of Ajin. Was a really solid start and I can't wait for more. |

| The really weird part is how both this an Annihilated City have basically the same OST. Okay, no, that's not fair to the writing, because it's terrible in a way that only PA Works can manage. "What are you doing in here with this collection of priceless artifacts and super weapons, heavily armed girl?" "Oh, nothing at all. Just wandering around." "Wait, that's my childhood friend who's murdering the hell out of everybody! Veronica! Don't you remember our friendship!? I honestly couldn't say who was the worse protagonist between Yuki and Maria, because they were both terrible in very different ways, but I feel that Yuki has better potential to grow (although I doubt she will), and in true PA Works fashion, Maria is going to spend the entire series screaming about friendship no matter how many people she has to ignore being murdered. This does have its ducks in a row better than Acropolis Equity on the production front though. Apparently I have a greater tolerance for CGI chairs goofily flying through the air than I do CGI people and vehicles. Or it's just that there was some actual fighting animation with choreography mixed in there. It was still on the lower end for a PA Works action show though, and nowhere near as impressive as, say, Sirius's opening episode was. Since I mentioned Absessive Cistern skipping over the Persona explaination, I probably have to mention that this also mostly avoided that pitfall, but it did jump into the long… long setting exposition ahead of anything interesting happening, while Absent Sippy did a better job of splitting things up to keep the episode as a whole flowing, even if both liked to do dumbass cutaway flashbacks. |
| This seems to be exactly in line with what PA works has been producing lately. Something that looks good but everywhere else is mostly a mess especially when the series is more action orientated. It's only one episode though but precedent doesn't leave me very optimistic. |
