| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm, a show about sumo wrestling. Well, I think this was interesting considering the concepts and we meeet Hinomaru right off the bat. It's more of an episode that gave me the impression of the feel of the show so far. There's also some amount of emotions from this episode too. However, Hinomaru is the one that stands up against bullies so he isn't going to let others make fun of his friend. What a badass guy. The actual sumo wrestling part was also pretty intense imo. |

| I don't think I've ever seen an anime about Sumo wrestling, so this one had me interested since I first heard about it. I really liked this first episode. There was a lot of hype, and I look forward to seeing Hinomaru continue being a badass. |

| Yes baby, this is my shit. The first episode got me already hooked, Hinomaru is truly a badass and hard working guy. Exactly the kind of MC I like. Love also the akward moments, like in the train where Hinomaru was without his pants xD Shounen Jump rarely disappoints. |

| Kinda reminds me of Shigeno Goro and how he choose a normal highschool over the powerhouse baseball school, Kaido Anyways superb first episode, wow this has been a great Friday! Juliet was great, JoJo was JoJo, Index is back! and this turned out to be another great adaptation. I read the first 30ish chapters and liked it so this'll be great! |

| Fantastic start, loved the first episode. Had all the energy and hype I want, let's get this show on the road. The way Hinomaru threw Yuma out in a single thrust was so freaking epic, I was cheering. XD Expected good things since this was a WSJ series, it didn't disappoint. Looking forward to more. XD |

| while it has the typical “shonen mc is overpowered and then will lose some as he faces stronger opposition” first impression, im liking this Ozeki had a good impression on me too as the sidekick. he could be my favorite, hopefully they dont go too overboard with him and make me change my tune ED is awesome |
| One of the series I was really looking forward to seeing animated. They changed it a bit to visiting schools instead of it being his first day, but it doesn't really matter that much. Actually strengthens the idea behind it a bit that he'll get to the top regardless of which school he's at. 24 eps seems pretty short for where it looks like it'll adapt up to though. |

| I heard from manga readers that this series is pretty awesome and even though I didn't love the first episode, I still enjoyed it a lot I felt this same way about Haikyuu in the beginning as well so I'm looking forward to being hyped further on as well as learning more about this sport since I know next to nothing about Sumo lol The MC however was fucking great though, guy kinda reminds me of Soma which I love....Good start |

Like you said, they can't capture the intensity. Production I.G. should have taken this one, or some other better studio. The fights to come are going to be intense and I doubt the studio will be able to keep up with how hype the manga's work is. |

| From the beginning, I liked the MC a lot. Although that was sure an odd first impression he made in the train station xD I enjoyed this episode. And the way Ushio just destroyed that guy felt so satisfying. I also expect great things from Ozeki as well. He has potential and passion so I can't wait to see him shine at the sport he loves. If I'm honest, this anime looks interesting and since it's my first Sumo-related show, I hope it can impress me. |
