Another great episode!
Senju Muramasa's motive for crushing Izumi is because she wants to read more battle related novel of his and not the imouto shit.
Senju is also a fan of Izumi novels (the battle-based)
AT LAST! Sagiri finally stepped-out of her room to tell them that she won't let her brother be taken away by Senju...lolz!
in the end they won! and Senju was disqualified.
5/5.

This episode was horrid to me. I never lowered a series score by 2 points from one episode but this was just bad.
It was everywhere and random.
Senju only met him for a DAY.... How the hell do she fall in love with him!? Reading a book isn't going to make you fall in love! Her reasoning to do all this makes no sense. How does preventing him from writing get him to write????? How does stopping him from publishing a rom-com get him to instead write a battle-harem?
And when exactly did Senju confess? They just placed that scene out of no where. We have no idea when it happened, and the mood as completely out of place. It was just awkward.

*3 minutes until scoring*
"Oh is your heart beating as much as that one time senju confessed to you? You know that scene we never actually showed? The scene we will have a flashback right now? No idea when it happened and how it would actually logically fit in to the series timeline... but it happened. Yea that scene."
*Insert flashback*
Oh the score is up!

So Yamada asks a random question(that is very out of place to the viewer) and he goes on to think about it for 3 minutes. yamada just sits there quietly waiting and then don't even ask for an answer... Just goes on to let him know the score is up.
??? Seriously???? That is like some REALLY elementary writing mistake. And they didn't even have anything notable to cover that up, it was so focused on that flashback, it is rather impossible for viewers not to notice that time gap.

We also already expected who was going to win. Despite the attempt to put something at stake, there was no tension. Instead of exploring writing techniques, they glossed it over with yamada-sensei giving cliche advice. The series could of used that time to develop their relationship but nope. She automatically likes him from the start like Sagiri.

Made no sense that they would even put up a novel that was way too long in to the competition for people to read. Sagiri coming down stairs was just random drama to me. It was so poorly done.
Senju going to their house is utterly stupid, like what is even her motivation? Go tell him she wants to read a battle-harem? She has this supposedly refined taste yet like crap like a battle-harem that is poorly written?

And random fan-service! Half the episode is us staring at the hem of the girl's skirt and chest area. And Senju purposely drew attention to her uniform as if the fan-service shots wasn't enough. They had to get her to do bunch of crap.
I didn't have too high expectation for the series. Was going to have some mindless fun but this was too cringy and just utterly bad. Oreimo wasn't the best thing ever but this failed at everything Oreimo succeeded at, and also fail at the exact same thing.

Could barely finish the episode, couldn't stand it. This episode is just WAY below expectations. I was hoping better, even by its standard.
If next episode is like this, I'm dropping it(which is rare I usually stay put for the whole series)
Well this episode will lower by overall expectations so next episode have to be even worse for me to get this disappointed.

Well...that was unexpected I wasn't thinking that Muramasa was a super fan of Masamune and in love with him! Sagiri wasn't having any of that bs either she was mad! I thought it was a really good episode and I'm excited to see what's next!
I shall rule over the realms of anime and manga! Mwahhahahahaha!!!

Senju Muramasa is a crazy and obsessed fan of Masamune and his former work. She wants him to continue the story of his work "Reincarnation of the silver wolf", because she was obsessed with this story. She even could not wait any longer and did start to write by herself. But she never got any true satisfaction with it and on the top of that her admired author did start to change the genre and did stop to continue the story she did fell in love with it.

Muramasa did not fell in love with the person called Masamune, but she is obsessed with the author of Reincarnation of the silver wolf. You could call her an obsessed and crazy fan on the level that she wants this author only for herself. She did confess the same way Masamune did confess to Sagiri by writing a love letter in a form of a story.

I agree that the novel did handle this situation way better then the anime. It got very clear that Muramasa is simple said a really obsessed and crazy fan.

my overall score for this anime keeps dropping and dropping per episode release. Forced drama, unnecessary fan service camera angle, pantsu joke is overused, incest wincest shit.

is he really going for the incest route? wtf dude. I hope FBI comes through your door soon.

I hope it gets better soon.

Honestly, this episode felt a bit rushed for everything that was going on, especially the introduction, interaction, and dismissal of Muramasa. She was only really introduced in the last episode and in this one, she challenges Masamune, with the winner getting a request from the loser (which seems to have been forgotten when the contest is over). Then, she comes over, and in my opinion, is like a little creepy when she states that she wants him to write just for her (I'm getting a stalker feeling from her and the idea of trapping a singing bird in a birdcage to sing just for her feeling at this point). Then, she gets disqualified from the contest for not following the rules. I mean, c'mon. I thought that this was a true contest between the two. Why did she just throw in the towel? Then, we find out that she's in love with him. I'm not sure if this love was founded before she actually met him, before she went to his house or after. I'm actually curious if her submission was like his story to Sagiri, like a love letter to Masamune.

In either case, I believe this all to be a bit rushed and maybe the creator and production staff wanted to re-aim the focus back on Sagiri rather than Muramasa, but I believe that it is still a good idea to build up to these things at a little slower pace. At least Muramasa gets rejected up front, unlike a certain other show, where many fans were upset by the sudden change in the MC's love interest.

I also hope Muramasa continues to write well and eventually finds love (or doesn't give up on finding it).

Another way to look at how rushed it was is frankly we all know its a Sagiri win and we did not need a 3 episode build up for her to be rejected. She still will be in the show. They also are probably (hopefully) going for a full adaptation so they are probably going to rush bits here and there.

Haha, Elf was brilliant during the writing process of Masamune's novel. Muramasa's mannerism and motives were intriguing as well. On the other hand, Sagiri is starting to lose her charm really fast...

This keeps getting more unrealistic as each episode goes on, and it's not like it makes me laugh but for some reason I find it enjoyable. Guess it's because I enjoyed Oreimo as well (although I consider it to be better).

This was actually a pretty compelling episode. It held my attention the entire time.

Wow, Muramasa went from worst girl to best girl in one episode.

Seems to me she purposely lost, kind of eh, but that's ok.

That Muramasa such a snake. Using that person to check on Masamune and therefore putting his work on hold.

Overall it was an enjoyable episode. I liked Sagiri towards the end, how she came out and told off Muramasa.

I can totally relate to Muramasa.

That moment when you read a very interesting or entertaining story then it ends, that hunger for reading a very interesting or entertaining story that has the same level as the previous story won't be just satiated so easily. Hence, you'll write a story of your own instead that has the same entertainment or interest that had when you were reading that story you've totally liked.

For me, it's a visual novel, particularly Rewrite. It ended and my hunger for more Rewrite is just really bad so I went for writing a story that has the same impact, entertainment, and interest that I had when I was reading Rewrite visual novel.

I never thought I'll be able to like Muramasa because she's cute on her own way and I can totally relate to her but it's kinda dumb that she has feelings for him already just because she likes his novel/s.

And Muramasa is basically Kuroneko's twin - black hair and all. Damn, Muramasa can't catch a break. She is emotionally depressed from reading Masamune's novel, rejected by Masamune, and lost the competition... to Masamune. Whew, boy.

I think the competition was rigged cause the chief editor said Muramasa was a "too laborious" of an author(scene before Elf Yamada and Masamune were in the living room waiting for the results). Plus, Muramasa's and Masamune's works are romantic light novels, but Muramasa was disqualified.

What I can't wrap about this is that it happened so quick, but somehow managed to get it through. Goddamn.

Muramasa came off a bit selfish when asked about her motives and her reasons for writing novels, though she's quite bold and I gotta give her that.

I honestly didn't expect Sagiri to come out of her room and go REEEEEEE to fight alongside her brother and their dreams. I was fucking lost for words at that moment.

Muramasa is cute and all, but gosh, the way they try to establish harem in this series is just fucking horrible... all girls are like, WHOA instalove, and they didn't even share one romantic moment together on-screen!

I could understand physical attraction or something, but here we have these pointless confessions. Why should I even cheer or care for any of them? God, even OreImo handled scenes like that better. And there were all placed in second season, not second ep after introducing Kuroneko or Ayase, geez.

If they ditch the whole obvious siscon conclusion and do a plot twist where he actually wants to smash Elf, this series can all itself redeemed.

My thoughts exactly.

The confession from Muramasa was so sudden, forced and felt out of place. Rushed.
His saying that he's in love with someone else doesn't make sense whether he actually loves his sister (he thought about it but he hadn't made his mind yet) or Yamada (he spends lot of time with her and he likes her but I doubt he realized just yet). His rejection came out of place.
And Yamada-Elf carefree, laughing reaction to the scene when other girl confessed to him (when she loves him too and should be jealous) was even weirder.

Not a best episode and hate to breakit for other people but whole siscon part doesn't really work, there is simply no chemistry between them. It's almost like his sister is supporting character only, ever left in the background. Let's hope she'll step out their house at least finally after her first step this time.

How about you throw that bitch out of your house? As if their first meeting wasn't reason enough to just close the door immediately she just continues talking shit to him.

Her reason for writing is pretty weird, too. Or more like it's a weird reason for doing it professionally. I get the point but then just do it for fun. No need to steal spots from authors that actually want to publish their work.

And her reason for "crushing Izumi's dream" is even worse.

And so begins the Oreimo fallout... But tbh, this time the best girl is probably the one who will win. None of the other characters really had enough screen time to leave an impact. Muramasa was only in like... two episodes? Sagiri is the only character which has really had time to be fleshed out and developed. At this rate, I won't be upset if she wins.

The series screems for comparison to OreImo, however I think actually they are somehow different.

At many points it seems that the author tried to reaarange cards a little bit. Most trailes from OreImo can also be found EromangaSensei, too but I don't think there is a good character correspondence between them.

Kirino's tsundere personality is much more reflected in Elf, them in Sagiri. In fact the hate-love relationship between Sagiri and Elf is more convincing with assaigning Elf to Kirino and Sagiri to Ruri. On the other hand, Sagiri is a lot like Kirino in her deredere-moments and Elf feels sometimes like Ayase.

Anyhow, I think EromangaSensei is a lot less series and more "let's enjoy the magic of moe." Also Muramasa was only just introduced and got straight rejected, compared to the well elaborated romantic relation between Kyousuke and Ruri. Anyhow, the ImotoShit doesn't feel so bad as in OreImo.

I can literaly imagine the author thinking "Why did you all (most of you) have to like Kuroneko so mutch, I want you to love the imouto." And then introduce a somehow correspond to her Muramasa, but at the same time try hard to minimise any chance for her to get all the attention again.

Masamune has a fan who likes his style and desperately doesn't want him to change. Is this the start of Misery: The Anime? I wish this anime were more like Misery. It'd be better.

In terms of lewd antics, this was a very low-key, almost downright family-friendly episode. Other then the whole incest thing. "YOU CAN'T HAVE HIM HE'S MINE WAAAAAH."
