Heh, another built-up episode of memories...I really like how everyone is working together and training at night. Gotta swing that bat with energy~ Wait, are those rice balls? Snack and practicing. Nice combo.

Anyways, I am really looking forward to the upcoming match. All this hype. The next episode should be what everyone's waiting for.

The field practise was intense!

The third years once being considered as the hopeless year in their first!
Jun wanting to be a pitcher xD That control!
Masuko being told not to eat.
Everyone training hard to aim for the nationals in their third!
It was nice to see how some of them struggled to go through the harsh training yet getting back up. Everyone training together at night with the managers supporting them ^^
Yuki's home-run hit with that cheer.

Having trained harder than anyone and having done everything they can!
Now I really can't wait for the match to start!!! Really enjoyed this episode too.

Wow, that pre-game field practice was intense! And the senpais flashback is actually good. I love the introduction.

Once again, we get sidetracked from the main story line, yet still the same good old ace of diamond.

So simple yet so good.

Wow so much animation in the beginning! Never has training felt so intense. I take that back about average budget lol. Maybe it only felt that way because I remember that one or two episode with a lot derp faces from when it started last fall.

It was nice to see the third years' experience as first years when they first arrived at Seidou. It's hard for Eijun and Furuya to believe, but the third years suffered a lot as well at first. Also, Tanba was so timid back then haha. Tetsu is still kind of the "my pace" kind of guy. Laughed so hard when they were in practice and then one of his senpai was all like, "as if you can play any position!" (or something along that line). And what Isashiki said was sooo brutal (yet the truth): "you're not the only one having a tough time."

OMG so I absolutely loved this episode! That rally at the beginning was so intense and just plain great. They all looked so polished and experienced. I love it. Then they proceeded to show us how they got there. What a wonderful journey it was. It really feels good when all your hardwork pays off. They have worked so hard and I'm so happy and proud. I really don't want this to end or for them to get any older!! because then the third years will be leaving :( I like them so much.

Absolutely beautiful episode :*D

Loved the intensity of their training so much!

The flashback was really nice. Never did I imagine the senpais were bad enough to be called the Hopeless year :O It was so fun seeing how bad they were and how much they progressed :)

And did I see Wakana in the PV >.<!!

One of my favourite episodes! I was in the role of the "third year senpai" a year ago not on a baseball team but something as similar (band) and I got these crazy feels from this. I can relate. We start out weak, but with ambition and passion to work hard and become even better.

Anyway, I'm debating whether to wait until the Inashiro match is over before watching it...but I want to watch it weekly and ahhh. The struggle is real!

btw Jun x Manager is cute

500 swings a day? Respect, bro.

Happy to see the anime will continue with the Inashiro match. It should be spectacular! Stronger opponents are always win!
And I hope the sprain of the elder Kominato won't hinder his performance. If something goes wrong, I'll feel bad for him, and, additionally, it could hit the rest of the team hard.

Sweet, how much Eijun and Furuya share the same aspirations as their predecessors when they were younger. Tanba was hilarious :) In the previous episode he said that the four of them (pitchers) would play as one ace and I really would like to see it, Kawakami included.

So many amusing moments in this episode "Masuko stop eating!" It felt kind of weird having Jun as basically the main character in the flashback, but I suppose he has the best personality for it compared to the rest. Now back to the games!! .-.

This was one of the better episodes - it got me to like Jun, something ghe previous 49 eps couldn't manage - but those moments with the dramatic music at the end where it tried to pull my heartstrings??? Freakin' artificial. Pissed me off.

Thanks for crushing whatever good will I ever try to build towards you, Daiya. It's a gift.

No reason to take it back. In the last episode they were a few scenes were it was clear budget saving. When the three from the crowed were commentating for example the other crowed was still.
Animation companies in Japan had limited budgets. It ain't Disney. No matter how big they are they can't do such a long series without saving at some scenes. If they made the best they could with every scene the cost and time needed would be extraordinary, not even Disney could afford it(well they could but they would make a loss and therefore wouldn't be able to do it again and again). So they save budget in some places to animate better some other scenes etc.

This episode really made me like Jun as he's kinda similiar to Eijun. Amazing progress the once hopeless seniors have made with them now being able to do that intense fielding training.

Tanba was a shy boy haha

And Ryo was confident lmao

Yuki was hilarious. No way Ryo couldn’t ever fit into his clothes.

Everyone had an awkward moment with the coach at the bath lmao

OH NO THEY DID THE THING TO THEM TOO ( eating too much for practice)

Even the manager got better alongside them

Watching them get better made my tear up

Awesome learning about the early days.
I had my doubt whether they could win thinking it would set up Eijun having to learn more before he got to Nationals but now after this episode I think the third years deserve the win to Nationals!
