Yeah, I've recently found out that there's actually three anime expos a year, including ACEN that are all held in the same convention center. Unfortunately, I was on vacation for one of them, and the other one coming up only attracts a thousand people.

Wow, a four hour drive at 2 in the morning, plus the long wait in line. Did you attend any interesting panels?

Yeah, a smaller setting would be helpful, but I don't know if there's any lesser cons near me. On the other hand, another group of friends of mine are thinking of cosplaying, so I might just try it with them.

As for if ACEN is good, I'm not sure how valid my opinion is, because it was my first anime convention, but I thought it was awesome. The booths and art was great, and most of all the panels were interesting. There was one musky hot skybridge that I had to pass over a lot to get from activities at the hotel to the actual center, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

On the other hand, GRarkada, the anime reviewer from youtube, said that ACEN had to be one of his worst experiences with a convention, so I don't know.

Did you have to travel far to get to the Expo?

And lucky, you got to go to Anime Expo. I've only ever gone to ACEN because of proximity.......
