The was a great episode.

Inuyashiki and Hiro finally face off, the fight was pretty cool.

Inuyashiki saving his daughter and all those other people was really emotional, a true hero. T.T

Wonder how they're gonna wrap up everything next episode.

I keep seeing complaints about the CGI in this episode, which I kinda don't get. I think this episode is actually a good example of how to do CG in anime. Instead of going for high texture detail, going for performance, making everything look both fluid and stylized. In my opinion at least, it looks better than the earlier episodes, when I felt like I could count the frames while the CG scenes were playing.

I would have been annoyed if his daughter actually died. Not because I care for her, but because the villain saved his crush and his crush's grandma after they were shot multiple times to death. So it wouldn't make sense for his daughter to just die.

I agree that letting her live was the right call (I already wrote a wall of text about it earlier in the thread), but I think what they were trying to get at here is that even with all their incredible power, they are not gods, contrary to what the people who see Inuyashiki's healing later in the episode think. They can bring someone back from the very edge of death, but they can't revive the dead. Admittedly they could have done more to explain it, and this is all just inference, but I would presume that Shion and her Grandma hadn't died immediately when they were shot, they were only bleeding out and Hiro saved them before they could die. But here, Mari experienced one of those cases that you hear about every so often where someone is medically dead for a short time, even a few minutes, but something causes their heart to resume pumping. Probably the frantic resuscitation attempts, though one could also argue divine intervention as a possible interpretation considering Inuyashiki's previous thanks and present pleading to god, though there's nothing to suggest it will matter narratively one way or the other. Either way, his powers were useless as long as she was dead, but once she returned to life, he could heal her.

And so, finally the duel begin. The most waiting part and also some annoying part especially when they fighting with the "unconscious, using the third eye"-part. At least nothing to hold back anymore in this duel.

Decent fight, not bothered at the CGI because I don't even care to this point. The rest of the episode was plain Meh. (Inuyashiki saving his daughter was cliché as fuck)

I can't still believe people would give a FUCKING MACHINE a Freaking Juice, that's just plain stupid. I'm also wondering how the heck are there so many planes out there, specially when the whole city has been endangered by a random edgy teen who that declared war against Japan... is people really this stupid?

Nice to finally get some recognition. This would have been a good place to end, so I have a feeling the next episode will suck ass.

That was such a thrilling episode I can't believe that Mari came back tbh I was 100% sure she was dead but man I felt so happy for Inuyashki san that she didn't die.

Not to forget about the ending scene when Inuyashiki flashbacked his life damn that was really beautiful with that music.

People complaining about the CG, it's pretty decent to be honest and the fact that MAPPA never dropped the Traditional 2D quality on the show is really something else ( Yuri on Ice is far more horrible tbh ) I really don't understand why you guys being so salty about the CG and there's us, Anime Illustrators/Artists who actually likes it, I d o n t g e t i t .

Whew Mari, becoming relevant in the last 3 eps only to have a near death experience (although she technically was dead).

Can't be disappointed with the animation if you had no expectations to begin with.

Not the fan of flying fight scene, airplane dropping is pretty cool, but what's the most amazing thing is the ending of this episode. As someone who's researching on elderly society problem (and Japan will face severe on this) this episode is spot on on making elderly value. (Though 58 years old is not count as old in any definition)

I'm not read manga or anything beside watching this anime, I predict that in the last episode Shishigami will help Inuyashigi deal with asteroid, and most likely Shishigami will sacrifice himself, Inuyashigi will survive.

Heart-warming episode, Hiro got bodied hard. Looked like we are gonna have a rematch. Damn seeing Inuyashiki save people was great. " I was born for this moment" indeed. Great episode, fight scene was a little off but pretty fun with all the lasers.

Hiro mastery of using his ability are amazing but it obvious he lacked head to head combat experience unlike Inuyashki with his training and fighting mafia.

Well I am glad he was able to revive all those people especially his daughter.

Well...wild guess right here, but you killed countless people, said you would kill everyone in Japan, and crashed several airplanes only a few seconds ago. Inuyashiki existing doesn't change anything. *sips tea*

I am really sad for this show to end. It was great and a huge highlight this season. Fall 2017 has been an extremely great season overall and this is definitely in the top 3 for me (originally was my #1 pick).

Same, that's my prediction too but instead of Hiro dying and Inuyashiki surviving, my prediction would be Hiro survives and Inuyashiki perishes, Hiro then realizes after saving everyone with Inuyashiki from the asteroid that saving people is *indeed* better to *feel* human rather than killing them to feel human. He would then turn on a new leaf and live to carry the Inuyashiki legacy... (in my dreams lol, seems unlikely but a man can wish right?) Also I hope at the end Hiro realizes that killing all the people in Japan and living somewhere else doesn't actually guarantee that people would stop hunting for you, other countries would most probably join in the hunt too.

This was easily the best episode of the series. Tears came to my eyes multiple times (when Inuyashiki saved the aeroplane, when he revived Mari). There was a fair amount of action and drama too. I can't wait to see how it all ends in the final episode and also what happens to Hiro.

The action in this episode was so freaking good I couldn’t breathe.
The show in general is very detailed and so are the characters and surroundings,so when inuyashiki and shishigami where fighting it was so beautiful and thrilling with everymove.
I dont see why people hate or say bad things about this show as i dont see anything wrong with it,only good things, although everyone does have their own opinions.

Anyways when inuyashikis daughter finally appreciated him and told him he loved her it as so heartwarming.
I cant wait till the next final episode,but im a little sad as it was the only thing i extremely enjoyed this season ;_;

Oh My God! Another intense EPIC episode!
Damn so many planes crashing all at one moment!
Inuyashiki is like Superman safely bringing the plane down! Awesome!
They finally met again! Hiro & Inuyashiki!
Dadadadada! lolz even Inuyashiki! retaliated with a BANG! and another round of Dadadadadada!!!
Aerial pursuit and laser explosion combat was breathtaking!
So if both has gone unconscious, their robot AI would take place on the fighting! Damn! that was unreal AI vs AI fight!
So AI form Inuyashiki is far more superior then Hiro especially in RAW brute strength power!
Thank God Mari was almost gone, to the point of doing CPR almost made her gone it into the bucket! good thing as soon as she had consciousness, Inuyashiki healed her instantly! KAMISAMA!!! is real! lolz!!
OMG one episode left, and looks like Hiro would be back to wreck more havoc and this is perfect for the final showdown between Inuyashiki vs Hiro!
5/5!!!

if we use a bit of logic, they SHOULD know that by having any kind of electronic device they are dead, escaping with planes will obviously backfire, they were actually safer in their houses for example in the bathroom rather than being outside.

Honestly, the whole action scene was great, but kinda disappointed me because of the emotions in the voices of the characters and their facial expressions is like a total opposite of what they want me to feel or they should feel. Hahaha. It puts me off so many times. Haha. But so proud of Inuyashiki-san that he defeated Hiro. Yaaaaaas. I wonder if Hiro will be fixed after losing the half of his cyborg head. Pffft.

So proud of Inuyashiki-san this episode. I can't even. He saved those airplanes all at once. Godddamn. Goddamn. Of course, you're the fucking villain, Hiro. Asshole. Wasn't expecting they're gonna meet already and LIKE THAT. Hehe. I love when Inuyashiki-san is being attacked by Hiro with those cars then he'll carefully put them down on the road. Haha. WHAT A NICE OLD MAN.

I got so scared that Mari will die and started asking myself questions like "CAN INUYASHIKI-SAN REVIVE PEOPLE FROM DEAD?". Fucksake. So, he really can, right? Or Mari is really not dead? Ugh idk. Afterwards, he saved those victims, and the public and the media saw him. My heart.

So happy Mari told her father that she loves him and Inuyashiki-san knows he's loved by her. I'm crying. If only Mari's mother and brother saw what he did, maaaan, but I bet they'll know in time.

5/5. <3

Wow, I can't believe that was 22-ish minutes, it was all so intense and emotional that it felt more like 5. For a few episodes there, Land of the Lustrous was giving this show a run for it's money, but unless Inuyashiki's last episode is an absolute dumpster fire or LotL really pulls out something crazy, I think the #1 spot for the season is secure, and definitely among the best of the year.

I see why some people think Mari should have stayed dead here, but I have to disagree. Inuyashiki needed her to live, her death would only have really been useful to the narrative if it could drive Inuyashiki either to improve so he'd never have to experience such pain again, or into a low point that he'd have to overcome (i.e. lose the will to save people for awhile, or go berserk on Hiro), but there's no time left for any of that at this point, especially after the big fight with Hiro has passed. If Hiro were completely out of the picture and there weren't another episode and a giant meteor to deal with still, then they might be able to get away with leaving Mari dead here and implying that her death continues to drive him to be stronger and save more people, and there's just no more interesting story to tell because the main source of conflict (Hiro) would be gone. But I don't think that would be as satisfying as what I suspect is going to happen...

See, in this episode, Hiro has that moment of realization that he is the villain, and he hates that feeling and flies into a rage because killing is the only way he knows to deal with such powerful emotions. But now he got stomped, and has time to cool his head and think. Meanwhile, we also have a potential extinction-level event in the form of a gigantic meteor that's been foreshadowed and still has to be dealt with. So I believe that Hiro is going to sacrifice himself to stop the meteor, in one of two possible mindsets: a) "I want Shion and her grandma to live. I don't care about anyone else, but if this overgrown rock kills everyone, that includes them, and I won't allow that." or b) "I've realized that I was the villain this whole time. I don't know if it will make up for everything I've done, but I don't want to be the villain ever again, so I'm going to put everything I have into one final, heroic act." If I'm right, then killing off Mari in this episode would be pointless, and it's better to let her live so that Inuyashiki has something to ground him after it's all over, a reason to continue keeping his own heroism on the down-low, providing an excuse for why there shouldn't be any more unresolved conflicts that would warrant more story (for example: if he were to make a spectacle of his existence, the U.S. military would definitely throw a tantrum about how "he's a dangerous weapon and he has to be destroyed before he turns on us!").

Those are my thoughts anyways. Regardless, next Thursday is going to be a good day: We get this show's (presumably) epic conclusion, and those of us entranced by the stupidity of King's Game will finally be free from the torment of having to watch it just to see where the flaming wreckage lands.

Hats off to you pal, you just took the words right out of my mouth! I couldn’t agree more about Mari’s importance to Inuyashiki and why her survival is just so important and crucial.
In my opinion though, Hiro will either die saving the Planet from the meteor or surrender himself to life imprisonment or something. I’m rooting for the first alternative as this would really have an impact on us, the viewers, and it’s just the perfect ending, albeit being a little too predictable.

Whatever the case, this coming Thursday is going to be lit. Can’t wait to see how this show’s finale turns out to be like.

I find it great that the anime direction, voice acting and music were exemplified over the animation, managing to keep the fight scene intense despite the obvious production budget limits - even the animation itself managed to convey itself well to an extent.

A great penultimate episode, I hope that they adapt the finale of Inuyashiki just as well, having read the manga. I'm glad the anime has solid ground between people taking it seriously and people liking its ridiculousness.

And Inuyashiki using 'Bang'? Amazing in so many ways, but of course, him saving everyone, seeing the memories of his life, was even better.
