Personally, I like the first season's OP song the best but htis one has its own charm. I'm really happy this show is back. Very easy to get into the mood of the sequel again with the narratives and characters. The humor is still creative with the shogi creativity. Felt like a buildup for rest of the season but I'm excited to see more. Glad to see they are showcasing Souya Touji this season. |

| Wow that OP was marvelous! Show is stylistic as all hell and it picks up right where we left off. We were with the now shogi/science club and the comedy is great. Feels comfortable to see these characters again. Second half was a match. I was expecting it to be really intense but it was also funny as well. Story aside the visuals were strong. We are back baby!!!! |

| So happy this is back! The cat shogi board was so cute *_* and aslo I understood something about this game for the first time too. I hope they will use it more often to explain strategies during games. Science lesson in the second half was ok I guess. |
| IT'S BACK, so happy to have this back again. <3 Great first episode. The Visuals for the OP are fantastic, I still kinda wanted a new Bump Of Chicken OP. XD Seeing Rei teach the members of the club was great. Looks like there's a Meijin match going on. I loved the second half with the Science stuff, Rei thinking about how he's talking normally with his club mates and having fun was presented beautifully. Really makes you reflect how how far both he's come from the beginning of the show. Amazing visuals and soundtrack for that entire scene. I sorta teared up. The sister's smiles at the end were beautiful. <3 |

| Beautiful first episode. The visuals and soundtrack are great as ever. I'm so happy this show got a second season. The first one was amazing. This show is definitely going to be my anime of the season. Seeing Rei happy around his new friends brings a warm feeling to my heart. Its great to see the Kawamoto sisters again. |

| I've been waiting for this for months! So, so happy this show is back again! First ep was perfect! Maybe a bit weak compared to the first episode of season one, but I still loved every bit if it. It was like meeting again with your best friend after being apart for a long time. Nothing can beat the OPs and EDs of the first season, but I like the new OP anyways. I'm disappointed about the new ED, to be honest. |

| Ahh, a lovely way to kick off the first episode. There was shogi, there was a lot of Rei, and we even got the sisters at the end. It is nice to see Rei happy at school, at the after school chemistry club. That Ramune stuff seems really cool. And then he gave some to the sisters, aww. So sweet. It seems like there'll be a little more drama next episode, I'm just so happy this anime is back. |

| It's great to see that this got another season, and it got off to a fantastic start so far. Seeing Rei interacting and getting along with people was nice, as he's come quite a long way from what he was like in season 1. The sisters' reactions to the ramune was also very heartwarming. I was hoping for another Bump of Chicken OP, but this was one wasn't too bad. Maybe they'll return for the 2nd cour. |

| hmm, i felt like it started kinda whatever. it felt like it was making some choices with its style just for the sake of it, though even if it was ehh sometimes, they were committing to what they wanted to do. |

| No fucking surprise at all that this is best pilot of the season by far (my bias is speaking but still) First half made us know that Souya indeed isn't invincible, i was fairly surprised that he's still losing 30 percent of his matches! People need food to keep the brain working at the fullest for the match and he does use ramune at the purest, just a hard worker as everyone else. Comedy was pretty great thanks to SHAFT going all out for this one, crazy stuff xD Seeing Rei so happy over participating actively in a club and being around people that are with him willingly made me emotional as hell, the art during these scenes was just amazing. What a fantastic return, honestly. |
| It's so great to have this show back. Shaft is quickly becoming one of my favorite studios. Owari S2 was great, and I have a feeling this will even better than S2. |

| I'd be lying if I said this was the perfect episode to start with, but it was definitely a very good reminder about just why I loved the first season so much; it's really good to have this show back, and I can't wait to see how Rei and the others develop this season. Also, they've once again given this show an amazing OP and an amazing ED. |

S1's second OP is one of my favorites of the year, and Kids on the Slope's OP is also fantastic. |

| Words can't describe how much i love visuals of this anime. True, hand drawn art. With so many cgi, plastic crap nowdays, animes like Sangatsu are real treasures. |

| I think I may drop this season. Judging from the OP it looks like it is going to abandon the Shogi and just be about his relationship with the 3 sisters. I know its a slice of life and I expected this to happen but I am dissapointed as there was a really great set up to see Kiriyama climbing through the ranks and challenging Souya at the top. Back to watching Shounen and Sport anime I guess.. |

It can transmit so many things with so little, it's just fantastic, and it's nice to see it has kept its first season's quality. Also, really liked the new OP. And Momo is so cute, she is going to melt my poor heart ｡◕‿◕｡ Feels season, here I come! |

| Man, seeing Rei being that happy with his new friends and the Kawamoto family after all the shitty stuff who has happened to him in his life was really sweet and satisfying. Considering the PV, is obviously things are going to get ugly soon, but I really liked how the season started in a happier note. Rei explaining how the more you win in shogi, the bigger is the frustration when you lose was both creepy and funny at the same time. Regarding that, Shaft loves change the artsyle of their series from time to time, but this time they sure went all out xD The conversation between Jinguuji and his friend about Souya's match makes me more interested to see more of him. The show has portrayed him so far as an unbeatable and mysterious rival, but this time we knew that even he has struggles to beat some rivals (and that even he had a hard time against Shimada). I really want to know how he is in person (even if he is "boring"). New OP/ED are pretty good. Loved the visuals on both (Shaft never dissapoints in this regard). AOTS material, just like the first anime. |

| I've been excited for this season ever since it was announced! As usual, the visuals are stunning and the story and characters never disappoint. I was hoping that Bump of Chicken would return for the OP and ED, but the new ones sound great, too. :) |

| Great start to the new season. Love the OP song & ED song. Colourful & Vibrant is lovely. The background art of the city is always amazing. So nice to see Rei teach the science guys how to play shogi while they teach him how to make ramune. Awesome to see the Kawamoto Sisters at the end. Love everyone smiling. Looking forward to more. |

| I'm so happy to have this back! Binged it 2 days ago and boy was it worth it. Let's all get ready for more feel trips! Anyways a lovely start to the season, our boy hanging out with his club after school is a touching moment that can put men to tears. I'm hoping to see more of the sisters in the next episode. |

| Feels great to have Kiriyama and co. back again, very relaxing episode. It was nice to see everyone in the club try to learn shogi and Kiriyama himself have fun participating with others in making ramune. Liked the OP and ED was ok. Can't wait for the next episode! |

| This really isnt a first episode its more like episode 23 considering its split cour and it stopped where we left off lol. Stop judging it like its supposed to hook new fans. Its just another episode from last cour. The official site backs up my statement  |
