 A scan of LaLa magazine (to be released this Tuesday) revealed that fantasy shoujo manga Akagami no Shirayuki-hime will be adapted to a TV anime to premiere this Summer.Mangaka Sorata Akizuki started the series in 2006. The manga follows Shirayuki, a girl born with unique red hair, and her adventures alongside a prince named Zen and his friends. Cast and staff members were also revealed. And this is also interesting to note that it's Bones because it means 2 out of 4 of their series are confirmed now for this year. The first being Kekkai Sensen, the second being this. Will the third be Noragami S2? Anyways, good news. |

| That is great news. Not surprising that this would get an adaptation. For some reason, it reminds me of Akatsuki no Yona. I'm not too sure how Bones will handle the historical/shoujo genre seeing as they are better known for producing action genre anime. |

| YES YES YES my life really is complete now. I had hopes for an anime adaptation when Akatsuki no Yona was announced to have one, and the wait was not long. And Bones? Wow, cannot be any happier. Though I have to see about Ohsaka Ryota and Hayami Saori. I love both VAs very much and am a fan of their works, but since Akagami no Shirayukihime is one of my favorites, I'm not sure if how they would sound animated. I think Ohsaka Ryota would fit Zen's personality, and so would Hayami Saori for Shirayuki. But I can't hear Hayami as Shirayuki in my imagination yet, I would have to see the animation and hear it. Then again, I don't have any other female VA in mind who would fit Shirayuki :P Despite what I'm saying, I'm sure it'll all end up fine. Can't help be slightly critical (not in a bad way?) about one of my favorite manga. |

| Hell yeah! I've been wondering if this series was gonna get an adaptation. We need more historical/fantasy setting shoujo. And it's going to be produced by Bones. I'm not really a fan of the VA cast though. I hope Reimei no Arcana also receives in adaptation~ |
