That store manager still pisses me off although less so than before.

I am happy to see the dolls again in this finale. DESU girl is even here. The episode was alright. I got that cherry mood of the series again.

I got to say, the second half did surprise me. The entire part about wound Jun in hospital and them contacting unwound Jun is from about Tale 38 onwards. They skipped most of Tale 26 to Tale 37, which is mainly slice of life but isn't plot heavy.

Got to say, they ended it at a really prime spot for a new season. It would have been awesome to see more of the comedic parts animated if a new season arrives, but I guess they decided to focus on animating the more important parts of the story.

Heh, I thought I was seeing things when I watched the stream but I didn't. There was a slight change to the ED. All the dolls opened their eyes, which they never did in any of the previous ones.

Nice to see his life getting better. Poor young Jun. What happened to him? Surprised to know Kirakisho was alive. It was a pity Suiginto didn't show up this time.

Felt like there'd be a sequel. Overall it was fun to watch the show. I liked the tranquil atmosphere throughout the entire series.

Thats it??? That did not feel like a ending at all, well I guess there will be a second season with that ending.

Series gets a 7/10 from me.

Also glad to see more Saito & Jun action.

Should have just ended right after the store owner praised Jun for his work, and the store manager realized what a loser he was. With the way things ended, this just felt like another episode.

Nonetheless, I hope this means there will be another season, because this was excellent. I definitely think I like this adaptation better than the previous ones.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I think 2nd half was rather short preview, something like episode 1 and they wont skip anything in next season (if sales will allow next season) they just hidden best parts. 2nd season will focus more on dolls so I would be glad to see it!

Pretty calming ending :), I enjoyed entire series it's one of my favorite shows, I gave higest score.

Ok seriously the second half was defiantly a set up for another series and i am not going to wait another 7 years for it to show up they had better make another season soon because i hated it when it was stuck on cliff hanger in the last show and i dont want to be left hanging again

But other than that this show was amazing it concluded the unwound arc quite perfectly almost exactly like it was in the manga, The art was fantastic, the cast did a splendid job and the music was wonderful to listen to. the only bother i had as i mentioned is that they ended it on a cliff hanger but i hope we wont have to wait long for a continuation

Yes, with what they skipped you don't know what happened to him. With the hope that there will be another season it seems either they will go back and do books 5-7, showing the new character, what actually happens to Wound Jun on the stairs and so on... or they would just continue from there with books 8-9+ with the story of how Unwound Jun helps Wound Jun again, this time with Wound Jun in hospital for the "mysterious reason" that manga readers already know.

I sure hope they animate what happens to Wound Jun. I was really looking forward to that scene! Readers know what I mean...

But overall I loved this season. 9/10 for me. I really enjoyed older Jun's story, the characters both the dolls and the people who had real purposes, real problems to solve, the doll fights, the magic, the animation, the music, all excellent!

If they don't make another season then I have the manga but I sure hope they make another anime season, and soon!

Despite doubts at the beginning this season turned out pretty well. Glad to see there was no made up ending instead of cliffhanger which gives some hopes for a sequel. Although it probably depends on manga and anime sales.

I loved the original seasons + OVAS of Rozen Maiden and I have to say, if this is what the manga is like I'm glad the old series created a different story.
I'd prefer they didn't continue ruining the Rozen Maiden I'd come to love, but I have to agree it looks like they're setting up for more, hopefully a continuation will have at least one exciting episode.

The manga has followed both. There is an original manga story which the original anime followed and then this manga series (same people made it) which added all that you've seen in this season and more. So this is not ruining the original, it is after the original.

I preferred the recap of episode 1 to the old 2004 series. The art is much better, animation much better. I much preferred Suigintou fighting Shinku herself instead of the card throwing clown.

There is lots of exciting stuff left but I thought there was a lot of exciting stuff in this one.

Only issue was pacing IMO. One chapter one episode, 11 chapters the next episode...

Wow, loved this episode! Halfway through I thought to myself "Isn't the story developping way to much at this time of the ep? Weird" But with that ending, I'm sure they will, eventually make a new season ou special episodes. It needs to be finished. The grown up Jun had a great character development. I'm looking forward for more. :)

Gave this a 10.

I am really happy that they are teasing for a sequel, just hoping that they will keep the same level of perfection.

Bonus points over my previous 9 were for evolving ending, no weird anime only ending and dolls.

Made my shitty day working kinda awesome, i start to consider buying rozen maiden goodies, my heart is ablaze

Well now that was a very odd way to end things. Apparently, this episode adapted chapter 25, 37 and 43... Though if that means a possible second season, I am all for it.

I am going to give this season of Rozen Maiden an eight out of ten. If it weren't for that recap episode and the odd way to end the season, I would probably give it a nine.

Pretty decent episode. Though I hope that Kirakishou's body revert back to her previous one, the current one is scary as it is.

I have high hopes that Season 4 is gonna come! According to the statics, the season 3 is receiving good respond, hopefully this will cause the producers to continue to story.

The manga isn't finished! So I'm glad they left it as they did, means we can have another season! Though they did skip really far ahead, not quite sure why they did that except that they wanted to take us to the next part in Unwound Jun's story. Otherwise they could have done the 3 books in between as a Wound Jun story.

Hm maybe Studio Deen is doing the same thing with Rozen Maiden as with Hakkenden and making a second season? Hopefully? I mean that ending was definitely not really an end but like others said, setting itself up for another season.

Anyways, nice seeing the fat cat again, as well as Tomoe ^^ things are looking great for unwound Jun regarding his lifestyle changes, but poor wound Jun. I loved the part where unwound Jun sees Shinku's note at the end of the picture book, that was heartwarming.

Despite my initial concerns over Deen handling this I am satisfied with the result. Even the simple painted style animation backgrounds grew on me unlike with Aku no Hana's. The pacing was fine and I only hope a season 2 is planned sometime reasonably close in the future. The ending implies that's what they're going for anyways.

Now when I thought it's will not become more Adult Jun after reading the manga and see it will continue with wounded Jun but it seem like it end in cliffhanging.

Of course they wouldn't cover that many chapters of Slice of life stuff.

Indeed it's definitely not feel like ending, feel more like a conclusion or a new season coming up soon.

A pretty decent ending, although some events do make me wonder if there might even be a second season of this 2013 remake! Either way this was one hell of a great series.

The old Rozen Maiden sure was nice as well but to have this more serious toned anime was really lovely and interesting to watch!

The ending was quite interesting and well it sure kept me with some questions, that's why I'm wondering if there will be a second season of this, and if there will be I'm sure going to love it!

A great and lovely anime series in general! 9/10

Sadly it seems to me they were so sure they would score a big hit they wrote an ending that would connect directly with a second season and when the news broke that sales bombed, either they had already done the final episode or the director could not muster the courage to rewrite the second half of the last episode into something that gave us a sense of closure.

The original Rozen Maiden anime is so different from the manga I would call it a derivative work (not the usual copy/paste of manga plot+filler that is not written by the original author(s) we usually get). So in that sense they did ruined the expectations of a sequel to the anime most people had come to love. This is not about which plot is better, tastes vary widely, but for crying out loud, do not change the formula, remember what happened to Coca-cola when they had the same idea? If there was some kind of japanese oscar for locally animated stuff they could brag they are aiming towards a trophy, but there is no such thing -_-;

I preferred the recap of episode 1 to the old 2004 series. The art is much better, animation much better.

I have to agree, but with an equivalent budget and the huge improvements CGI has brough in the last 9 years, DEEN can do an average job and still outdo a superb job done almost a decade earlier.

There is lots of exciting stuff left but I thought there was a lot of exciting stuff in this one.

I disagree, my love of the original anime made me read the manga, but seems to me the authors do not what do next, seems like the plot is walking in circles, there is no sense of advancement at any level. I do not mean to say only peach-pit has this problem, plenty of other mangaka seems to do page after page that does not advance neither the plot nor the characters without being an slice of life nor a 4koma.

I think this season has some pacing issues (mostly the first half of the season), but I'll still give it 8/10. I actually didn't mind the first episode being a recap of the first part of the manga, as I read the manga long ago and didn't remember the details.

I liked the atmosphere of this season better than the first two seasons, but overall I still think Träumend is the best season despite not being based on the manga. That might change if there's a sequel to this season.

Just putting it out that the current arc of the manga is at is probably the last, and I have reasons to suspect so.
Heavy spoilers, even for manga readers, since the English scanslations are far behind the chapters that are already out in Japan.
