It was actually better than expected
lol I love the dog for some reasons. Shinobu and the dog (don't remember the dog's name) would make a great comedy duo
Sadist and a bit tsundere she is..
Good entertaining episode

I don't know what it is about this anime but for some reason it captivated me in the first scene. Maybe its the characters and their personalities.

I found it to be funnier than I expected I'm not one to drop anything as long as it has some kind of appeal and it seems like this anime will be quite the roller coaster ride when it comes to puns and parodys so I'm down. Looks like it's gonna be a good summer :P

You sure?! I thought it was from Batman!

I'm pretty sure it's 007, it even has the gunshot
but where are the hot girls dancing around?

Replace the girls with guys in suits, and i think the ED has you covered ;)

If nothing else, i will be watching this for the characters alone. I'm interested in seeing where the plot goes, which I'm sure will take another couple episodes to settle into.

Since it is supposed to be a comedy mystery, I half expect the dog to become the smarts of the operation and Kirihime the brawn.

Etch pretty disappointing, was hoping for it to be a lot better, most of the jokes weren't even funny, hopefully it improves in the upcoming episodes.

It was quite... something else maybe?

I like the concept but lol... Might actually try this for a few eps.
The Art of Shipping is no mere game. It can be small skirmishes to huge nation size wars.
Of course some will claim their ship is the BATTLESHIP but they all do. This is why battles occur because of factions fighting each other to justify their favourite ship.
And thus SHIP to SHIP combat occurs almost anytime even now.
Beware, Threading into the Shipping battlefield will be bloody.... What are you waiting for?

op and ed were... "interesting" and i guess scissors are now a thing in anime...
show was funny enough to keep me interested so i wont drop it but it really felt kinda all over the place plot wise.
over all 3/5

also y do i feel this is gonna be a bestiality harem? my guess as to why the female lead hasn't written her final book (lust) is that she has no experiences in that field so she will be using mr puppy as a stand in boyfriend -_-'
only time will tell if this anime rom/com cliche rings true 'cuz i cant find any info on the plot yet.

+1 on all of that.
What a shame he died and became a dog, he wasn't bad looking

I'm gonna follow this anime, it looks like it could be another great comedy like Hataraku Maou Sama.

The moment I saw her, she reminded me of Yozora(Haganai), the moment I heard her voice, I was not surprised that it was the same as yozora. Even her personality is similar to her. That bookworm!!! OMG, he died in the first episode... That imouto and sorry girl. He got revived as a dog xD Though, I am pretty sure that bookworms are quieter than that... That idol!

"The protagonist is here." xD

She is really sadistic. I like her.

"92" I was like O_O...really? Same as the male protagonist xD

Knew that she was Akiyama Shinobu and he was thinking that he was a guy... I loved it anyways xD

8/10 since it is really interesting and reminds me of cuticle tantei inaba somehow. I also like the OP and ED songs.

The dog reminds me of my friend how she is a bookworm and all, lol.

Also I noticed this anime is an adaptation of a novel about a novel reader who ended up with a novelist. Novelception?

I liked it!! It's just the right mixure of comedy and "randomness" as I like it.
It reminds me just a little bit of Cuticle Detctive Inuba because of that weirdness and also of Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge because of...well, the scissors ofbviously.
Definately will keep watching.

I am surprised that the source material for this is a novel because the first episode was giving me more vibes that it was from a manga not a novel.

Well it was funny enough i will watch and wait to see how they manage to take this down the harem road since the MC is a dog but trust me this will be a harem with that girl to guy ratio.

A sadistic girl with scissors in black lingerie/10

I liked it, although the impact wasn't as great as expected. The rest of the cast looks promising (at least two outward crazy). Seems like there will be writing-dying and reading-dying factions. The varying genre style of the books under Akiyama Shinobu's name (fufufu), perhaps hints that there are other writers except Natsuno, using the same pen-name (?).

The boy died, his human body is nothing more than a corpse now

That is true but it could be possible that his body is alive.

then why would they say in the end of the episode (while the MC is watching the TV -> news about his dead and the killer who escaped) the fugitive "killed a boy" and they even show the "victim"'s apartment (HIS apartment)

if his body was still alive it wouldn't make sense at all

I have to say the male character or better said the dog character is a creep his obsessive behaviour is just scary.
And how was he able to live in a apartment like that there wasn't even movement space and worse there wasn't even a computer.
Also wondering it was so focused on the books it makes me wonder did they never hear of E-books in Japan?

The main girl i like her character and character design no oversized proportions (I honestly don't understand the Japanese obsession with boobs) that black outfit and the black lingerie was also nice.
Her sadistic side needs some improvement but i guess it would be going to far to SM for comedy.

The art looks a lot like Tasogare Otome x Amnesia i almost thought the main girl was Kanoe Yuuko when i first saw her but personality and voice didn't match at all.

I wouldn't say he is a creep only because he loves "reading books"

I personally kind of understand the obsession of the MC for books because I also love to read a lot and to spend all my money in them

and I also do prefer having the book in my hands than reading it in a E-Book or any other similar electronic device (you never know when those things will stop working: always in the worst moment....)

so it basically depends in the tastes of each person

After wasting his life with a confrontation with a armed madman, he is supposed to be dead, but he just got a second chance in life and ends up as a.. wanko?! All he cared about was getting the chance to read the last volume of Akiyama Shinobu's book. Even being a dog, his only concern is getting to read book that book?! I didn't enjoy Akiyama Shinobu running crazy with a pair of scissors and threatening to kill the wanko. Maybe I will skip this one.

Not an amazing start of summer anime. I guess I will have to wait until the 4th.

In Japan, if you die with some great regret or vengeance your soul does not pass on, but rather you become a ghost, and that obsession is the one thing that keeps you going. Having the obsession settled will cause you to "pass on" to be reincarnated, so it is the guiding principle to the ghost. It is also possible for the Ghost to inhabit some other body. In this case the dog was dying pretty much at the same time, so the MC could take over the dog's form because it was a hollow vessel and it was necessary to fulfill his regret.

So this plot is not unusual or far-fetched for the Japanese. This is not to say that it isn't being used as a comedic device with both the type of obsession and the particular vessel for the soul, but that is another matter. How well the plot is developed is also another matter.

I put this show down as a "see what happens next" type. The "oh your breasts are small" jokes were grating, I am not sure it is possible to be original with them anymore, but these were particularly stale. Overall though there was just barely enough for me to want to see if episode 2 is any better, but I would have to agree this is looking like a candidate to be the first dropped.
