Nope, wasn't too late. I won't buy that manga just yet, since I've already watched the anime. bFor now I'm buying mangas that haven't been adapted yet. Except for a few like Tokyo Ghoul, since the anime is bad apparently.

"Tesagure! Bukatsumono" is coming back in January 2015 !!!
The best and most detailed news article is here:

In the first half of the 17th century when Edo (Tokyo) became the de facto capital city, the young in Edo started to speak new Edo dialect (-da, -iru) while the aged in it kept speaking kamikata dialect (-ja, -oru) which was standard Japanese at that time. And since that time, Japanese literature has expressed the aged and the nobles by making them speak kamikata dialect as the stereotypical speech. Those above are a widely-known theory. After 250 years, kamikata dialect has changed in Osaka and Kyoto. "-ja" became "-ya". And kamikata dialect of the 17th remains in only Hiroshima dialect.

As for grammer:
"-da" → "-ja"
"-iru" → "-oru"
"-dana" or "-dane" → "janou"
"shiteiru" → "shiteoru"

Haha, I respect your knowledge. Because almost Japanese even don't know term of "rendaku". Therefore I got surprised at that you mentioned about it.

P.S. As for your comment on Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara Episode 1 Discussion, it is not Hiroshima dialect. Indeed, Hiroshima dialect has "ja" as the end of a sentence. But "jakarano" change as "jakenno" in it. It only showed that the princess speaks as a noble female of feudal era. (And I really hate the talking way like her. Perhaps, if a woman speaks in that way in reality, almost people in Japan would want to blast her face.)

Hello. This is just a notice. I quoted your comment at Hitsugi no Chaika Episode 2 Discussion #120.

...well...excuse me, are you a scholar of the Japanese language?
Or are you a supreme high-educative student of the Japanese language?

I got surprised at your comment.

5 points, that sucks man. Well good luck for your seminars!

No, I'm not out of the JLPT game, still cruising around N3 level. I wanted to take it in July, but I don't know if I'll be ready. Plus I would have to go to London to take it, which isn't really practical. I'm not thinking about the N1 at all right now, I just want to get the N2 next year (which in my country is about the level of a Bachelor Degree in Japanese). You know, make a statement to the world, shake that "will I ever be something else than a noob" feeling.

I see what you mean, fall 2013 was the best season in years, but I'm starting to think winter 2014 might even be better. Also I can't believe your watching all those airings, I couldn't do it. Or do you watch raw?

But I'm forgetting my manners. How is your Japanese? I don't think I've seen you on koohii lately.
EratiK Feb 16, 2014 10:52 AM
Hi, saw you on the benmashi thread, thought I had seen your nick somewhere (koohii).

If you liked Sketchbook: Full Colors you might want to watch Tamayura or Aria at some point.

See you round. o7

Hi. Just to let you know, there is no episode of Tesagure!
Bukatsumono this week or next week. Both Episode 11 and
Episode 12 are going to be broadcast on December 28th.
Since you seem to be a fan of "Tesabu", I thought you would
want to know.
okanagan Oct 21, 2013 5:44 AM
Indeed, hilarious lyrics in the OP for Tesagure! Bukatsumono.
Thank you for pointing that out. I found an English-subbed
version:

These people have insanely creative ideas, and this is the one
anime series that I am following the most closely right now.
As you said, it grows on you. At this point, I am no longer
distracted by the 3DCG MikuMikuDance animation process,
and the four girls look like cute live-action actresses to me.

Thank you for adding your comment about South Park to my
"Is Watamote Cynical?" thread. I like what you wrote. I
decided not to reply on the thread for fear of taking it off-topic.
However, I am a huge South Park fan, and I recognize that what
you say looks correct to me. Indeed, I admit I was making an
oversimplification. Clearly you are also a huge fan of South
Park. Given this, you may be pleased that new episodes
(Season 17) will begin on Sept 25th.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
