YAY!!! Honestly not as good an episode as others, but this was just another build up. NEXT one looks promising. Jake's power, from what he showed us in the prison is pretty dangerous, I look forward to seeing it's full potential. So wait another week for the action to really swing in.

lame situation is lame. They already had one of the ouroboros guys...all they had to do was trace the video feed and snipe that lady and they'd be done. Taking a whole city hostage is ridiculous...she's way overpowered. Not only that, but when they fought the robots it didn't even seem like they were trying...totally lame. If the superheroes are so pathetic, then why are they the only ones protecting the city? The whole thing seems really contrived.

Probably because, that would make this a really boring story. This isnt the news, its storytelling. 90% of the demographic who watch this don't care about one single detail in the entirety of the plot. Sorry, but in order to sell bacon, its all about the sizzle, not the nutrition. Nobody buys organic bacon.

Same could be said of a ton of anime out there where characters take dumb decisions for the sake of plot.
But here is something worth keeping in mind:
- Heroes can't kill people (including criminals)
- Heroes cant move without the sponsors/HeroTV approval.
- They are not sure how they are controlling the suits, so they don't know that killing her will make things better or worst.
- They prioritize to keep people out of harms way than killing the robots, therefore they cant go all out on them.

I do agree that both, villains and anti-heroes, powers are way better in comparison to the Hero squad, but that's what makes things fun ; )
huh?

That is exacly the point. Plotholes are everywhere, in almost every movie and ppl still love them.

And anyway infiltrating the bad guy's liar makes a lot of sense, you think killing one small fry (the lady) would stop whole organisation's scheme?

Also, is it me or the whole debate on what to do is Afganistan/Iraq methapore... with the president being black and all.... or am I reading too much in it?

There is also the army but a normal human fighting with NEXTs would be like suicide don't you think?
The superheroes here are trained for casual petty crimes where NEXTs are involved. Now if you push them to fight something on a large scale like terrorism, of course they would look pathetic. Superheroes being flawless is just so stupid.
Damn why was I typing NEET instead of NEXT? XD

Anyho, Jake's quiet cool (and he is clever for a change) and he seems to have two different powers till now. The eye thing and the blood turning into ink.

So I wonder if Maverick does have something to do with Ourabouros (goddamnit I can never spell their name properly...), considering the coincidences that happened previously. He didn't seem to be acting suspiciously this episode, though.

Yay for Barnaby/Kotetsu moments hurhurrrr 8D;;

= also my thoughts pretty much.

The only hole in plot/logics what's bugging me a bit is how the heroes seems to be the only ones protecting the city... where is the normal police etc.? But I do admit, it's much more interesting this way.

Next episode should be really good.

He is in the conference room with all the corporate heads. He can't exactly leave since it's an important meeting and all... I mean, there is no excuse for him to leave at such a crucial moment, and if he did, and suddenly shows up to fight Oroboros, he risks relieving himself.

What was with Lunatic's smirk when Bunny agrees with Kotestsu as they barged into the meeting? I hope he plays a part in this fiasco. Lunatic is final villain material, but I hope the execution is nothing boring, like he ends up killing Jake preventing Bunny from interrogating him or something.

Either way, I love how Bunny has completely softened up. <3 And I love this show a little too much.

No, i see a few, more like one, plot hole but the normal police can't do much against giant armored robots. That's army level - of course the army should be there but...

You are definitely reading too much in it because i fail to see the resemblance. If a single guy being of the same color makes you think that, you are really going way overboard. Besides the guy isn't even a president.

Klownzie said:

I don't know about the pussy thing but the fact that his just a "face" isn't far from the truth at all actually. Politicians have too many powerful people pushing them around since most of they times they are the ones who put them there in the first place.
Reality is even worse actually because the guys behind them aren't even some good guys thinking of the good of people like that old guy with the glasses but the scum of the earth.

Please use your mind because you are going for facepalm overload. If your assumptions are based on the way your logic works i have bad news for you. Your logic sucks!!!

The only thing that needs thinking is why don't they make a plan to eliminate the power suits if that's the only thing that holds the city hostage. Is not like the columns have bombs that will explode if they try to stop them. It just those robot power-suit things that we already saw they can fight against so why don't they just destroy them.
I guess the only logic is that there are too many of them there and they can't fight and protect the columns at the same time without failing to lose most of the columns and have the city in danger.

I disagree with the opinion that the episode wasn't as good as others. Just because there wasn't a lot of fighting it doesn't mean it wasn't good. There where a lot of intense events going on and the plot developed thoroughly.

The army can't get there because they cut every access to the city. They could fly there, but they would be in the same situation as the heroes. There are just too many enemies and people in danger. That's the whole point of using the population as hostages instead of just storming the prison and getting Jake out. They have a huge leverage in the negotiation.

About sniping the girl, she wasn't out in the open until she went to pick up Jake. And they don't know she is the one controlling the robots. We know because as viewers we have more info. They showed us that she controls the bears, but Tiger and the others aren't watching. For all they know, sniping her could make Ourobouros destroy the city.

Origami's power is the single power that shouldn't be made public. Transforming into people is much less useful when everybody knows you can do it.

OK, so no army/police in this city. Fine. But why take the whole city hostage? Why not just nab some random people? Heck, in this show she could take the prisoners in jail hostage. But no- they boosted the scale to try and make the arc 'more exciting'. But it wasn't exciting. Barely anything has happened for weeks. If the people making this thought that heroes and politicians sitting around would be so exciting, they should have thought of a more creative way to do it.
I've really enjoyed T&B in the past. That's why the sudden drop in the quality of the series bothers me. The premise of the series is 'what would happen if heroes really existed', which is why the rampant commercialization is accepted. Sure, stories often come up with wild and ridiculous stuff to generate drama. I just expected this show to do a better job of it. Apparently, I was wrong to do so. Well, at least Jake's a good character.

I'm so worried about Origami. I hope Jake didn't really see right through his disguise and it's just a huge coincidence that he's reading about Origami. Jake doesn't know that Red Indian guy (i forgot his name) well so Origami can just act the way he wanted. Unless the girl is there she might suspect something...

Origami could've worked harder on his acting skills DX. I mean the first time he helped his friend Edward, his lame acting skills gave away. Lunatic was right about him, what kind of wrong-doer is brave enough to admit his crimes??
tbh half of me wants to see Origami dead cos it'll leave some kind of impact to the heroes (inb4 Madoka Magica), although I love him. Well, he's adorable when he's all nervous @ . @

Tiger is hilarious XD. and Bunny helped finishing is sentence is soooo freakin' cute! Good to see their relationship getting lovelier <3

Can´t wait to see what he´ll do...though as everyone, I hope Origami gets his job done, first time in his life that his powers are good for something, would suck if his moment to shine would be taken away.

Two reasons. If they only nabbed a few random people the heroes could've saved them. The whole idea behind using everybody as hostages is that even if they can save some of them, they can't save everyone. This gives the terrorists a huge leverage in the negotiation.

So the premise of the show is what would happen if heroes really existed. Why exactly having super powered terrorist doesn't fit the premise? In fact, it is an immediate result of the premise. If there are super heroes, there are super villains.

T&B tries to be more realistic and makes them act like real terrorists, instead of just going around being evil.

Also, politicians sitting around and heroes on standby is also realistic. Would you expect them to just barge into a terrorist's den while risking the hostages?

This was really all build up, but I still found it exciting. I was honestly getting annoyed with the wishy~washy faffing about by the city's leadership, so seeing Tiger and Bunny show up give them a good (though choppy) scolding was indeed in order. It's a good thing too, because this Jake Martinez seems like a real murderous psychopath.

And how stupid was it for them to send one moron into the city's headquarters to move things along? Well, almost as stupid as it is that this idiot be allowed to waltz into a room with all the city's leadership with a gun. Oh well, it worked out in the end.

Come on Origami Cyclone! You're the only fair shot this city has right now!

Apparently Mr. Legend captured him, based on the profile report from a few eps ago. Why ccouldn't he just break out? Well of course they'd have known of his powers, so they probably kept him in that room the whole time, where his powers would be useless.
