THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

I honestly thought the music was going to loop into Star Wars several times this episode. I've noticed it before, but not as strongly as this. Also Jinto's been kind of annoying me for the last couple of episodes, it's a good thing that Lafiel fills out the other half of the main cast.

I wonder if the declaration of war will lead to a somewhat more macro view of the events happening? Although probably not with only a few episodes left for this series. Maybe in the sequels?

All Abhs are like that lol. They are a proud and arrogant race, perhaps too proud....

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Angry Lafiel is so cute, her expressions are pure win.

Things are getting interesting, I wonder if those 2 will be pulled into the war.

Shouldn't the empress have the four enemies killed immediately?

"All right...then lets go to war" The way the Empress was so nonchalant when she said this was hilarious! Great moment.

'All right, let's go to war' *Puzzled/shocked looks*
Didn't they want a war? It seems odd they would force a war, when they were actually afraid of it.

The government would never tell their diplomats the full truth. The diplomats most likely believed the report they received as what actually occurred. That way they would be more convincing in their arguments.

Crazy to think that a war that will involve the whole galaxy was started so nonchalantly.

Are the intentionally making humans appear retarded? Why would they be shocked or upset with the Abh for declaring war after they first ambushed an Abh battle ship, and then claiming it ambushed them (because ambushing a fleet with one ship is obviously what would happen) use that as justification for invading a planet?

"Alright let's go to war." It was like the empress was deciding what to have for dinner lmao!

I think the Four Nations were shocked at the empress's declaration of war because (1) she said it so nonchalantly and (2) the Four Nations wanted to negotiate with her (they mentioned forming a "fair" committee to investigate the Gosrauth incident). She knew what they wanted so she ended it then and there, denying them the opportunity.

The Alliance's propaganda machine was out in full force but the Empress wasn't having any of it. War it is!

I don't blame the Empress for choosing war.

It looks like it might be Lafiel's turn to learn from Jinto.

Ok then, let's go to war.

This entire anime so far has been to get the audience to side with Abh. I see no reason to side with them. They are invaders.

The war was bound to erupt anyway after the United Mankind destroyed the Gosroth. I guess the Empress felt there was no cause to take the diplomatic route as a result. Is this introduced concept of "permanent piece" the reason the Abh have such an imperialist worldview? It could be.
