The episode was average. A new rival for Xin in the episode. A good fight between will be soon. The season 2 is very slow.

Can someone please explain to me, how they managed to kill the General in the midst of a defense without holes? Was the general taking a piss?
Also: the state of Qin army have really shitty defensees for their Thousand-Man-Generals. Like really shitty. They all died alone, meaning that they all didn't even have a single guard. That would be alright with the first ones, but later it was known, that assassins where around.

The war is going to get a whole lot better in the coming episodes anyway. I don't think for at least 2-3 weeks will the better parts start to happen. The manga is awesome though, glad I picked it up.

Even if there was a decent defense for each one it wouldn't have mattered. Rinko(can't remember what A-D put as his name in the subs, the slit eyed guy) is so ridiculously strong that he'd smash through any defense that they'd put up. He's quite amazing. Really can't wait to see Renpa get into the action. The next chapters that come out should show a bit of his strength. :D

oh god what was up with Xin spacing out in the middle of a battle and then telling the general wait don't go?

I have to say I love the story of Kingdom but some of the scenes just don't make any sense :P typical Shonen I guess...

In the manga it wasnt really like that. They added more dialogue. Basically the dude was like since Xin wasnt on his list he didnt kill him. He did say Xin might be special and left. When he left Xin knew he stood no chance.

Yeah your right Rinko is just that strong. So glad i read the manga cuz the anime is so softcore. I want to say they their heads was cut off in the manga. In the episode they basically told you how strong Rinko is i dont understand why people dont get it. Just like that other crazy general that goes to places alone and wipe people out with ease.

But you can't just feel that here, he just seems like a cunning enemy, Ho Ken on the the other hand was the MAN, maybe the CG was what made him seem more compelling :P

Yeah admittedly the manga made you realise his strength more. Although that might be down to the fact that those who are up to date with it have seen him fight properly so it's hard to judge how he is from the perspective of those who have only seen him this episode. One thing I will say is that they didn't give him enough impact, not only that, he doesn't look as scary as he does in the manga either, he looks like he's a bit soft haha. He's crazy strong, though. I am eagerly anticipating the rest of the war animated.

Ho Ken is one of the strongest guys in the series, plus you've seen him fight properly as well, so it's hard to compare the two at this stage. Well, Rinko wouldn't win against him in a 1 on 1 battle that's for sure but he's still a fearsome enemy.

For anyone who hasn't read the manga and is confused I just want to say that all the dialogue's exactly the same and the episode didn't change any actual content. The differences are that the violence is toned down, like it always is, and the direction for the scene where Lun Hu is appraising Xin's strength is done in an interesting way that makes it feel different than the manga. It's pretty slow paced with subdued music and doesn't give off quite the same vibe.

Of course it wouldn't change the outcome, but they didn't know that. It really hurt my suspension of disbelieve, when the state of Qin Army didnt even try to protect their men.

When the last general was killed my first thought was "did I miss a scene?" It just didn't feel right given the increased security and alertness. Then we see everyone yelling about an ambush but nothing, absolutely nothing, animated to show the enemy attack beyond a few flags and bushes moving. Certainly not the best few minutes of story-telling.

This.

At least they should show some soldiers guarding their thousand man general to show how strong Rinko really is though for the first general that is being killed, it's understandable since he had asked his men to leave first but for the other generals.. it did only seems that Rinko is just cunning/sneaky only.

Also I found it funny that the spear they threw disappeared and they took such a long time to reach Xin after they threw the spears hahaha =P

They showed how strong he was since he wounded Ouki. In the manga they didnt even show him killing them. He is cunning but he is strong as hell too. You'll see in the future. Probably in like 5-10 episodes.

We're not talking about his ability to kill someone, but the impossible feat of doing so without beeing seen. He is strong, but not invisible. They stated, that the guard around the generel had no gaps. So how did he slay the general with everyone just realising a minute later? I would've accepted it, if he wouldve just rode with his men out of the forest and slashed a hole in the guard, but this was just weird.

I am quite disappointing on the way they present Rinko' skills.
From the anime, it just seem like Qin got shyt for defense.
It almost seem like enemy targets in Assassin's Creed have better protections and I beat that game without a single restart.

They could have made this episode so much better by adding in more information on how Rinko sneak in using his 300 man team and kill all those generals without getting spotted.

It seems like Lun Hu could finish this battle by himself. I dont see any reason for Lian Po to join the frey. Oh yea! I just checked and I knew it. Lun Hu is voiced by Sakurai. I thought it was him. He's one of my fave seiyuus so I can usually point him out.

I feel like an idiot. I didnt realize Meng Tian was Meng Ao's grandson. I didnt know Meng was a family name I thought their first name was split into two. I feel dumb. So that must mean Meng Wu is Tian's dad and Wu is Ao's son. Alright I should make a note to pay closer attention to the names. Hmm Meng Tian still sounds cooler than just regular Tian tho :/ And Ben doesnt have the same ring to it as Wang Ben so I'll keep calling addressing them by there full names. I forgot Xin even had a last name Li sounds somewhat cool so I might decide to call him Li Xin.

AGH! SO FRUSTRATING!
we're taught how to handle troop formations and monitor activity and anything that might spook someone is communicated through hand signals and we act accordingly, not just "nah forget it" kind of stuff. then again this anime is based off of 10 trillion years ago but you'd think they'd figure out how to do staggered formation, team signals, slow walk horses, and advance recon.
jfc
t. trained in jungle, forest, desert, mountain, and MOUT.

also shins team is weak af where is the teamwork? supposedly they have squads and teams but they all act like a bunch of farmers with pitchforks still? for plot convenience?

Xin just had a heart to heart talk with the assassin who killed 8 of their 1000-man commander in one night who also killed one of their generals shortly before lol. But I get it. Motherfucker has his eyes closed. Every one knows in anime anyone who has theirs eyes closed like that are the real deal.
