| well, its six rounds and all that bouncing around is probably pretty tiring, so Ippo could probably wear him down by just continuing with this strategy and then move in for the kill once he slows down. |

| Ehh, this fight looks kinda boring. It's obvious with these opponents that have 0 backstory or buildup lately that Ippo won't have any serious trouble with them. Ever since Sendo, Ippo's fights have just felt like padding until we get to Date. |

It doesn't work like that. It's more tiring to attack all the time than to dodge, also it's frustating to don't hit the one who dodges and because of that you can end being too reckless. On the other side to be dodging all the time it's more mentally tiring cause you are all the time 100% focused on all the movements of the other fighter. Let's see how this fight goes, it looks promising. |

| Saeki's a thrill seeker and Ippo's definitely the one who'll finally give him what he needs and more. It's nice to see Umezawa and Mama Makunouchi show Ippo some support by giving him a new getup. Even though it wouldn't be half as fun to see that staredown in real life, it was a really tense display of the psychological aspect of boxing here and they certainly more than made up for the lack of action with how speedy things were when things really started. |

| Umezawa has insane amount of development.I can't even remember any supporting shounen character being this developed.Going from default school bully beating MC to such a nice guy and MC's close friend.Everything about pacing is so good in this anime. |

| Stare no Jutsu was pretty OP for a minute or two. Speed Star is super fast, let's see how Ippo handles this. |
| Saeki was pulling some anime moves this episode. His trunks and boots have a horrible design though. |
