This episode was a feast for my eyes. I’ve been looking forward to seeing how they adapt Xeno and Stanley, and the studio did a perfect job! I mean, look at how intense they are!

I’m also really happy to see Gen's cunning and mentalist side from the first season, and now he’s back!—I've missed him so much!

The predator looking ass mofo got an airplane. Some are in terror but Senku is in awe. He and Ryusui want to take it apart, learn from it and make their own.
Thanks to Kohaku, they also find evidence to suggest the mysterious enemy has a cornfield.
She, Chrome and Gen do some reconnaissance with Mentalist Gen going up ahead and meeting with the Stanley, the smoker, who attacked them.
He learns whichever science user is their enemy is many more times advanced than Senku with an entire farm (there's more than just Stanley and the scientist working there, it seems).
This Dr. Xeno has already re-invented the polygraph, beating it should be easy for the mentalist but is stuck on naming the kingdom of science's leader as he doesn't want to out Senku and comes up with Dr. Taiju.

I love how they show it. Not so long ago I've read WWI child's memories with similar vibe. The first attempts to use aircraft as weapons involved dropping long metal rods, like resemblance medieval lances, onto the ground.

Role of science in warfare is portrayed so well! I love how most of Japanese team was in horror seeing aeroplane but leaders were in awe, especially in stealing technology :D It will be very interesting arc. I wonder where people of dr. Xeno are. Senkuu can win because he has more people with wider diveresity of talents.

It's a machine gun but that's still science in this show.

They gave a glimpse of adventure is like in the Americas. It's great they gave screen time to all the relevant cast here. Thank this episode to remind me how badass Tsukasa is and how entertaining Kohaku can be on the team. Gen looked kinda like a goofball this episode LOL

That bothered me so much.

They even started out talking in English too. Beyond lazy writing.

Also, I know not to expect much realism beyond the science in this show by now but having only 1 guy barely get grazed by a bullet after the whole group was under sustained machine gun fire while out in the open by an actual soldier just left me rolling my eyes so hard they would have fallen out if I was a cartoon character.

As much as I love high stakes in anime and no characters being truly safe in most action anime out there, Dr. Stone doesn't do that and that's perfectly fine, it doesn't need to. It's more comedic than serious-toned in nature. Also, I'm happy to have these intense scenes even though we know nothing seriously bad is gonna happen because of it. It's still fun to see, even though it's unrealistic, in my opinion.

Of course they would still talking in japanese, ITS MANGA after all, they kinda do it talking in English only in the MANGA, why do you want to see a languange barrier across the season?? Tell me one anime that went overseas and spoke their languange an entire season.

I'm not complaining that a Japanese show is in Japanese. I'm complaining that they introduced an English speaking character, an American soldier, and never addressed whether Gen is speaking to him and/or Dr. Xeno in English or Japanese throughout their time together. This is relevant towards how the two groups interact with each other going forward, but was completely skipped in the episode.

Stanley is on the lookout and Senku got so struck by the fact they already had an airplane that he almost got in the line of fire. Thankfully with his quick thinking to make acetylene gas he was able to fetch it from him and then send Chrome, Kohaku and Gen in his pursuit. The focus of the episode was not only on the funny expressions but on the last character since he was taken as a hostage with a lying detector that thankfully gave us the first picture of Dr Taiju, quite exhilarating if I do say so myself.

Things are heating up.
