Cute episode but honestly, the 'warning' signs about the knighthood is giving ominous signs. At least this show still loves its food gimmicks.

I feel like at this point, the show may be going down an ominous path sooner or later. What a cliffhanger too.

Adorable episode as always.

It was nice to see some different places this time.

Hmm... I don't know what to think about those "warnings" anymore. I don't want my sweethearts to get hurt or anything. :(

The outside world looks very peaceful enough. But, from what Solow said, it's very dangerous for them to wander around. There are still a lot of mysteries that we haven't known yet, especially about those knights. They could be a real enemy of our magical girls.

Damn this episode was nerve wracking, spec at the end with that wind blowing I thought maybe their returning spell wasn’t going to work or smth

maybe they screwed themselves really hard saving that guy and their return spell leaves clues about their home

Great episode! The girls are told by Solow they have been chosen to go outside to get items needed. They have to be wary of knights though.
Tori clicking that bell was risky... They cleaned up the boy's store which was nice of them! He thought it was a fairy xD.
They got the milk by helping the farmer and the eggs by stealing them from the old woman wanting to make apple pie...

I felt as if the series is darkening up a bit now with the knights being active...

Solow making sure her students understand the dangers of the outside world was moe. But I guess it does make sense since she is

Woah, didn’t expect the girls would be going outside this week.

The girls have good magic abilities but they’re terrible at stealth lol. How cute they decided to help out as “brownies”. Little Al rolling down the hill at that farm was too precious! Love how she used her magic to make a big hand to pet the doggo haha. The girls picking berries and eating them too was adorable too! But man, who would have thought a little bee would cause so much trouble though.

But just like that… we get our “warning” this week. Looks like the use of magic might be tied to these knights? Every time the wind blew I got nervous. The girls really don’t stand a chance against those knights. They’re crazy strong from what we’ve seen. I’m glad the gang made it back safely this time, but those knights are getting closer it seems.

The rare trip outside Ashlam Academy of Magic's borders for the Pentagram girls, and while there's more than enough protection to go around for magic, one mantra reminder and the trip goes as intended.

The outside world is dangerous, but for these girls, food is all that matters to be regarded well. And even to enter a store to get supplies and do cleaning in the process from their wonky stealth abilities, it's still a job done.

The girls descending onto a farm, and LIttle Al's ingenious act to use her magic hand to pet the shepherd doggo looks nice. Picking berries, pastime. Also, the cow getting stinged by a literate bug (bee), and as much as the girls are warned not to use magic, they did so anyways to protect the shepherd. And in the same way, use magic to get home.

Going straight into the "Warning" section, it's now clear that the Pentagrams's actions in the past few episodes are being flagged by evil that are looking for them, and every incessant action will being evil closer to the good. Shows there're consequences, but just padded for time until they make their entrance.

As I've mentioned every proceeding week, it's only a matter of time where the "main plot" kicks in.

Their mantra is that they cannot defeat knights no matter what? What the heck? In what world does a magic-user have a disadvantage against a knight? ΰ² _ΰ²

Abramelin's sword makes me want to try and finish getting the platinum in FF13... I miss Lightning.

If nothing else, we've confirmed that these weird, out-of-place, scenes are within the same time and universe as the main story.

They basically got a gallon of milk and a dozen eggs. I guess that's enough for the whole academy?

now, that's interesting to know. Ordinary people can't see Tori and her friends.

doing some small good deeds in town, and taking some things they need. Quite an adventure indeed.

looking forward to next week. :)

They couldn't see them because they used something to become invisible for 48 hours I think. So they should be visible if they didn't use anything

I love the girls to death don’t get me wrong but at this point we’re halfway thru the series and still only getting 2-3 min snippets of these knights. Headmaster did reference it today so I’m hoping we actually see the girls confront them or something next week

Another fabulous episode - those dastardly knights seem to be closing-in on our peaceful protagonists.

That was a really nice and comfy adventure, all their good deeds paid off but gave out a bit too much info to the knights, they really take seriously when it comes to them repeating over and over to just flee if there is even the slight chance of encountering the knights.

Considering the last conversation of the girls in previous episode, I thought they were to go on a picnic on Sunday in this episode. But instead of picnic, they went shopping in London by themselves. Although it's a kind of capricious plot development, it's not far from the original plan.

This is my feel good anime of the season, they need to add something other than "action" to the tags at this point. We're obviously going to get some sort of confrontation in later episodes, but as of now, it's simply been slice of life.

Those "warnings" and "blowing wind" moments were such a tease.

Also didn't know Edmond Dantes from FGO was part of the cast.

I think that part of what makes this show feel a bit draggy is that the warnings don't really amp up tension. I think that if we became slowly aware of an outside threat it would work a bit better. It feels a bit trying too hard which in turn kind of makes the pacing feel weird. Hoping some of this will resolve itself when we get to the knights properly

Solow-sama hint about the knight probably there was and ongoing conflict between both faction, but you can give me berry picking, tea partying, cake munching anyday, i dont mind

iirc in early episode it followed by gore scene, which is kinda out of place

I'd forgotten about that because it happened so long ago. I wish things felt more organized narratively

Not sure what the point of the "warnings" were if there's no violence afterwards? Still glad that we finally got a hint of how things may be connected though

Looks like the cut scenes are finally has connections to the main characters, but I kind of want it to just stay in this current slice of life atmosphere, also the first time we see them doing magic.

Well it would be really annoying if they have to do all the effort each time they need to buy things, but that was a pretty fun adventure for them to gather all of what they want in the real world... while we're still getting these "warning" teasings

Huh...

So this episode had the girls go into "outside world" to grab supplies for the Academy...

What's interesting is... they were given items to make them invisible and inaudible to normal people.

But next we see them in the outside world in a shop ran by one of the little green pikimin things... is this shop also invisible? and where did they get the supplies from?

___ ___ ___

And then they actually went to normal shops to try and buy stuff...

What's even more interesting is... apparently the way they "shop" is by taking items and then dropping off the money before they're seen... LOL

(and the rest of stuff is by "exchange of goods" in the form of "fairies"

BTW, the wears the girls have seems to be a lot more advanced than the outside world huh...

The outside world seems to be in the early 1900s or so. Yet our magic girls... have stuff like headphones...

___ ___ ___

Meanwhile... the "knights" are still going around and killing off magic worlds. (academies I guess)

Good thing is, the Knights arrive to the town after the girls already left. (the girls went back home on a sunny day, while the knights were shown arriving in a cloudy day)

The chant they use here is interesting.

I call to Sefirah, the Guardian above us.

  • Sefirah: a concept originated in Jewish mysticism. See picture. The light of the All/Ein Sof passes through several emanations/vessels-these are the sefirah- from Keter until it reaches Malkuth, the material world.
  • Guardian: maybe a reference to the practice of invocation/evocation in modern magic where a spirit/angelic name/element is called upon.

It might be interesting interpret this spell as a return to a higher world, as in, close to the source/Keter. The Academy is magical. They need a spell to leave or enter it. The Pentagrams pretend to be spirits and act as spirits this episode. Lore is that spirits belong to the higher worlds. Clearly, the Academy must be in a higher world, magically speaking.
