Ooh a game against another university. I feel like this is a test for the rugby club to see how the team can work with each other.

That Natsusa sure is popular though. Team still needs a lot to improve but learning is part of the process. Ibuki is still someone to keep an eye on.

It was weird how quickly the latter part of the match was basically just... cut.

Natsusa sure isn't shy OR subtle though. x'D

Tell me I'm not the only one who want to sit on Ibuki's dick LOL

And look at this relationship, Ibuki is seme to Natsusa but is uke to Ethan (my new knowledge today is the term Yamato nadeshiko = personification of an idealized Japanese woman), that make Ibuki reversible?

And about the dorm room situation, I completely understand why 'men' want to live alone in the room instead of with roommate.

And my main complain is still no shirtless scene beside the OP, and the ED card is in different art style than the anime, making it hard to track who is who, but I guess this time ED card is focus on Tsuru.

There are so many relationships we didn't know about like the red head boy with Natsusa back in middle/high school. In the ED, we learned they all kinda shared a childhood together, the main trio and him. Speaking of the ED, I love how this anime switches EDs so often that it's interesting to watch them for the illustrations!

The Ibuki x Ethan stuff is lols, I'm surprised Ibuki can carry the team so well.

Again, really wish this anime was more than 12 eps :(

I want to sit on my crush's crotch the same way Natsusa sat on Ibuki's. lol.

I am not familiar with many sports, so I have a question. Does Rugby always look homoerotic or is it only looking like that here because of the designs?

Natsusa is not delicate at all; he gave such a nice speech to his man-spreading friends.

The train had a lot of empty seats. Why were some of the boys standing? It didn't seem like they wanted the team members sitting together since the boys were quite spread out. I think the animators should have added more background characters to fill the empty spots and have the scene feel more genuine.

This is an original series, so there's no manga, LN, etc. for it

Oooh, I wonder what the story is between Natsu & Yasunari?! Seems super like they have a very complicated relationship.

Yet again, Natsu's shady bitch vibe had me laughing so much! I really love his tsundere attitude towards Ibuki, especially since Ibuki seems to like it... little masochist!

Seeing how Number14 of the other team plays and everyone saying he's so similar to Natsu made me so sad; it made me realise what a loss Natsu has had no being able to play anymore...

Ok I'm seriously thinking this show is really underrated. If it had some better flow with the directing this could easily become a really fun sports anime. Natsusa is a really good protag. (Kengo is doing an amazing job with him) and tbh the animation during the key moments of that match was really well done (otherwise it was kinda PowerPoint slide ish lol)

Lol, when Natsusa lectures the boys on manspreading, that was unexpected but really funny. The relationship between Natsusa and yasunari tsuru seems complicated and some history™ i cant wait for us to uncover more :') im so invested in this series

Same lol. It's sad most of the anime community will brush this anime off as "trashy fujo manservice" because of how it looks on the outside. So far I think this anime is a solid 7/10 and can be even higher depending on how it's handled for the next few episodes.

Since this is an original anime, I'm like 99% sure he won't play anymore and will serve as support for the members.

Well, you can't blame them. There's already some moments where the show gives fujo manservice vibes. Also Rugby isn't a popular sport in most countries so it's normal for this show to be underrated.
Not blaming anyone, it's just the truth. Yeah, there's definitely at least one fujobait scene per episode. Nothing to complain about since male-targeted shows do the same with yuri. Regardless, this anime is actually pretty good which is surprising because it could have gone the easy route out and just had only fanservice with little effort in storytelling. Seeing your score, we probably disagree on this.

I agree exactly on the same score. Definitely with a bit of polishing this is actually a pretty good series. Kinda sucks that it's just barely above 6

The fujoshi manservice is DAYUM strong this episode.

With Natsusa trashing more of Ibuki (such as sitting on his dick), and the seniors manspreading, he's more of an "elite" character in the serious sense, but sure knows how to play around.

WELL, on top of being an "elite" player in the past, he also has fans from opposing schools. Case in point, the 1st-year fan of Natsusa is displaying imitation footwork just like the "elite", which is putting Yasunari in disarray of memories of distant past (when Natsu was still playing for the team).

And finally, the reserve player Ibuki is given his moment to shine...albeit learning from past experience from support player Ethan.

With the first loss, in part due to Tsuyu's endless frustration, it's time to get his act together.

I'd consider this series good if it stuck to a formula that sticks and lands, but right now it hasn't reached there yet.

Normally a 6 isn't a bad rating to have but a MAL 6 is much harsher than the usual 6 lol. I agree that it deserves a higher rating, maybe 0.5 - 1 star higher than it has now. Hopefully, it finishes strong so it gets that end-of-show rating boost.

I liked the game. Simple but useful for characterisation.

Ibuki is still the best character in the show, and he's only improving.

That's what death is, don't you think?

first half of the ep made me chuckle once or twice but the rest was such fucking shit. boring dialogue 90% of the time, trash rugby animation, and the foreign blonde dude + ibuki's voices (esp when they imitated english) made me want to die.

Tsuru couldn't handle the idea of being bested by Natsusa's double, and ended up getting a penalty because of it, and the team lost.

I feel bad for Ibuki, getting chewed out by Natsusa lol

I'm curious to see what the deal is with Yasunari, I have the feeling he was a big fan of Natsusa

This is the first real game that we got to see the team play and I am really enjoying it so far. I find it interesting that they would introduce a player so early in the season that plays how Natsusa used to, I would think that they would introduce a player like that later but I'm not complaining. I just wish that they could explain rugby to the viewer because I've never played so the gameplay is a little confusing, but other than that 1/3 done I am really liking the series and the characters as a whole.
