THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well this was fun. I wasn't too impressed with the animation quality but the action and choreography impressed me. Kat and Raven were really fun to watch in this special. Overall fun stuff. Not too long for this special but I think it captured the entertainment value of it. |

This was fun but part A of the episode was pretty much pointless. The animation could of been better and i would of greatly preferred 2D animation but the action scenes were still fun |

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me |

It captured the essence of the game incredibly well. It pulled off the 2.5D look well. With Kat's gravity bending powers, it really gave the director an opportunity to give us some really unique camera shots. I don't think they took full advantage, but they still did a pretty good job with angles and shots overall. Gravity Rush's music continues to be as lovely and lively as ever. Seeing Kat, Syd, and Raven animated was a real treat. I really liked these characters in the game, so seeing them really come alive was terrific. We got what we came for in this short, adventures with Kat and friends, as well as everyday life and some great action sequences. Well done all around! |

Yeah the animation style did fit the game really good. Though you probably will only enjoy this OVA episode when you played the first game. Kat at the end in the red dress was very nice :3 |

I enjoyed it for what it was. A bit cheesy, but hey so was the game at points. The animation wasn't super amazing, but they had some pretty impressive backgrounds/foregrounds here and there. However, the constant eating was a bit annoying as it was just filler. Still looking forward to the second game as they previewed a minor bit of the plot behind it. |

Looks like Khara Studio use same technology they used in several Japan Animator Expo episodes, I like it but is not fully utilized properly this time. |

The language hurts... it's like russianese with japancais accent... so broken, and where's the syntax? DX Why was everything always upright? It feels wrong. Music sounds almost like pokémon. |

This is the longest they've ever spoke in this language, didnt like it in previous game, like it even less here, might like it in 2 due to the singing but who knows. The story is well... I know its meant to explain the gap between the 2 games but I think the story is almost as non existent as the first game. The one good thing? The action. It was fantastic, especially the diebuster vibes and the double izanami kick. It put a smile on my face. Defo hyped up for the game. |

I see what you did there, studio Khara ;) Poor Kat, not only she gets skewered screwed over in the demo but in this special as well smh. Well this was pretty neat, decent fights and animation, I especially liked the interaction between Kat and Raven (damn those girls can eat!), my only gripe would probably be the made up language. It didn't really bother me in the game but after hearing it to a greater extent thanks to this special, it's quite jarring to listen to tbh. I remember reading a comment somewhere that said that Raven sounds like an angry russian woman, and unforunatly I have to agree xD Anyways, I can't wait to have the full game in my hands in just two weeks :D |

I had no idea that this "OVA" was done by the same studio that did the "Rebuild of Evangelion" films. Huh, whoda thunk it? Anyway, I really enjoyed my experience of the first Gravity Rush game on the PS Vita and I'm so looking forward to playing GR2 on the PS4. I really enjoyed watching Gravity Daze: The Animation - Overture the same way I also enjoyed watching the animated prologue to Star Fox Zero on the Wii U from Wit Studio. I'm fully aware that there will be a free DLC for Gravity Rush 2 coming in March, ASAP. I'm not going into details about that and besides, I can wait. No hurry or anything. I will save my money until I have enough to buy this game and perhaps, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered and Yakuza 0. So many games to buy and play and so little time. |

This wasn't so bad. Quite great from the quality. But I can't shake the feeling that instead of filling some plotholes, it dug even more. And this is from someone that just finished the first game. Besides they aren't speaking japanese are they? |

damn imagine at least a movie about this amazing cel shaded 3DCG with no choppy FPS Kat and Raven are sexy hot too but the story is incomplete since you need to play the game to know the full story so 7/10 |

Wow. I had no idea Gravity Rush had an anime. And it was made by Khara too. Kat making the Gainax pose is something I didn't expect to see at all. From what I can tell, it's just promotional material for the 2nd game. And it serves as a bridge from GR1 to GR2. My question is, why not just incorporate the whole thing into the game? Because I think there would be many people going directly into the game without knowing there's a short prequel anime. Heck, I didn't know about this until a few days ago when it randomly popped up on my recommendation because I was playing Gravity Rush Remastered. Either way, it was a really nice special. I really wish they made a whole series for Gravity Rush though. The concept of the game is insane and I think it'd translate really well into the anime format. However, I think for the voice they would have to switch to Japanese. Hearing Japa-French for a whole series would be jarring. But I guess expecting an anime now would be optimistic since Sonyfornia closed down Japan Studio (the devs of GR) in 2021 and Gravity Rush 3 is as good as dead. I hate modern soyny and Jimbo Ryan so much. NieR Automata, Persona 5, Breath of the Wild, Yakuza 0, and Gravity Rush 2, 2017 was such a great year for video games. It's hard to believe it was 6 years ago. I miss the era of weird and experimental games. I feel like Gravity Rush was one of the last unique games we got. Such a shame that these games are stuck in PS4 jail and will likely be forgotten. |
