----------------------------------------
Lumati in sad/serious expression, looking straight at the castle. He said to himself, he's back! The high priests greet him. The oldest said he's glad that Lumati's safe. Then the servants ran to him and suddenly lowering their body to ask for forgiveness. Lumati said no more nonsense! He's here for peace. He explains about what he will do (and what he just said in speech) while Kajika and others are behind him. Lumati is asking for Somando now and the other two servants said they don't know where he is. Lumati is frustrated and about to scold them, Li Ren stopped him. Lumati, Li Ren, Kajika, and Neuei decided to find him themselves.
Before entering the castle, he explained that he has been wanted to enter but couldn't because he's 2nd prince. Then he said however, no one can stop him because he's going to be a king while entering. When he opened the door, he saw Kwinza. Li Ren thought as he thought, he's alive. Kajika is worried, but stopped by Li Ren. Li Ren, looking at his eyes, knows that he's trying his best to not lost conscious. Then Kwinza said he has been waiting for Lumati's arrival. Lumati said he wants to meet Somando first before talking to Kwinza. Kwinza said no, Lumati has to listen to him first. He explains why he has been controlling the loyal family for the past two years. He said that the loyal family is very dirty. He heard that the previous king had cancer, and some people planned to kill him peacely (Anrakushi), so that they can control the country more easily. It was a trap for Kwinza to get the country when he put Lumati on exile and no harm. Kajika doesn't believe it. Then he put something on the ground and said it's the list of people including him that involved in those greediness. He wanted Lumati to give punishment to people in the list because they did something horrible to the country. It's the king's responsibility to get rid of the wrongdoing in order to improve the country. Lumati receives the list.
Kwinza said so there are more people who can go to hell with him. Lumati said he won't promise to punish them. Kwinza said then that's unfortunate. Neuei, in his mind, says that Kwinza is putting himself as enemy of Lumati and put those wrongdoing people to hell, so that there will be no more people who would do those things left.
Kwinza is in limit now from bearing the bleeding. He took the rope and looks at Lumati sadly, thinking he wanted to look at him longer. He took the dagger and put it on his neck. Everyone's shocked and Lumati ran to him to try to stop him. But couldn't... When others wanted to ran to him, Najayra stopped them. Najayra asked Lumati if Kwinza is ok, but Kwinza, with his bloody arm, stopped her. Kwinza dies on Lumati's arm and Lumati cries for him. Lumati approved him of dying (as a permission to dying honorably), Kwinza is shocked. Until the end Kwinza loved Lumati.
Then there's a flashback of Lumati with the ball. Lumati came up with wishing something on the ball. Kwinza only had one wish. Now his wish came true, so he died peacefully.
Lumati is now officially the king. With Najayra and her cousin behind him. Toranosuke and Kajika are talking about the awesomeness Lumati looks. Since Harry didn't come, Kajika began to think about how the candidates he chose are not easy to get married to. Then Li Ren called Kajika so that she stopped her thought and visited Lumati. Toranosuke thought Li Ren and Kajika match and felt sorry for Eugene.
Neuei met Li Ren and Kajika on the way and he said he ranked up the level. Neuei is being polite and Kajika felt far away. Then someone called Li Ren that someone's looking for him. After they left, there's a suspenseful moment.
Kajika meets Lumati, who shows his usual self to Kajika. Neuei gave Lumati Sezun's letter (
OMG it's the last moment!
) He knows about Kwinza. When Neuei visited Sezun, he knew that he must visit Lumati, but he's in training to be priest.
Flashback of when Neuei visited Sezun: Sezun asked him to greet Lumati for him and he will ask for his brother's wrongdoing by severe training. Neuei is sad to not be able to see him anymore, Sezun said please don't make this kind of expression. He had fun. He's happy to be able to help others and it was the fun for his while life.
LOVE the smile!
Then the final greeting.
Lumati is kind of regretted about giving Kwinza a honorable death. Kajika said she thinks he has done right. Kwinza already punished himself and what he needed was forgiveness. Neuei said he thinks the same way and that's why Sezun is thankful for Lumati. Neuei felt Kwinza as a man and bad guy.
Li Ren meets Zhao. They are in embarrassing moment? They are looking at each other with anger.
Lumati told Kajika that he told Somando he's going to protect him. Somando hugged him with shaking body, and when he stopped shaking, he's smiling to him. Lumati thought he cannot make peace with his brother anymore.
Lumati told Kajika that he still thinks of her as the one he loves. Kajika said Lumati's feeling reached her, but cannot decide because she loved all three of the candidates. She likes liking people because it gives her warm feeling and not as most liking or choosing. Then she realized about the special someone among those liking. Lumati realized that that special someone is not him. He knew from the moment that he learned that Li Ren likes Kajika, that will happen.
He remembers about what Kwinza said about being alone when he was young. He didn't understand it before, but he does now. He asked Kajika to leave him alone. When he's looking at the ornament, it reminded him of the shining ball and Kwinza. He wanted Kwinza to beside him at the moment like this. Somando is here and he said so pretty. He's referring to the ornament. Lumati asked him if he has any wishes.
Next ep... Li Ren and Zhao's talk... Li Ren angry at Zhao... Carl and Kajika... Toranosuke frustrated and Kajika, seems to heard something shocking from Toranosuke, is sad.
3 more eps. Final ep. airs on February 14th (Valentine's Day!). After Final ep. on Feb. 14, there's Guest Talk special on the 21st and rerun of first special (where Toranosuke talks) on the 28th.
I ♥Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!!
Sry Quinza, no sympathy for you. Thanks for dying!
Sigh, this show is painful to watch. Why the hell is Kajika still withholding her relation to Lumati from him? Come on, there was a perfect setup for her to explain everything to him in this episode. But nope. Instead Kajika opens her big mouth and likens her love for Lumati/Eugene/Carl to her love for the wind and the trees. Right, okay. I don't know why I expected anything more from her. After all -- and Kajika said it herself -- she's the annoying kind of person who loves love.
Speaking of, where the hell is Carl? I want to see him get upset when he hears that Kajika loves Li-Ren. >:D
Also someone else tell me that they picked up on major NoeixSezun vibes from this episode, and it's not just my yaoi-saturated brain talking. X3
This is just all kinds of wrong. Why out of all is Lumati still not aware of Kajika's true identity and even more important, that they share the same blood. Ugh. She makes him suffer for the wrong reasons. And alright, go ahead, make it official with Li-ren already, that's all what we've all been dying for? Or not. Haircut was a pro, though.
Sorry, yamasaki, I was too busy thinking about the far off possibility of Zao and Carl to think about Noei and Sezun.
This episode was what it was. I hope I don't have to hear anyone comment on how mature Rumati is, just because he put on new clothes, anymore. Also, was it just me, or did Somand seem touched in the head at the end of the episode?
Quinza had an end befitting to his complex character and we saw that it won't be so easy for Lee-Leng and Kajika's relationship. The family seems especially pissed off at Lee-Leng resigning from his position and the split screen (plus the kind of "last farewell" sound) when he and Kajika part ways seems to indicate that they could very well never meet again.
In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.
Again the eyes. The same in the previous episode.
Ah Quinza. He really loves R/Lumaty. That was a good scene. And, the flash back with marbles built another Quinza's story.
Yay, new hairstyle for Li-Ren. Isn't he looks hot:3
And Lumaty proposed again...
It's a very nice episode overall.
I would die from laughing if Kajika and Li-Ren really won't ever meet again. XD I don't dislike their pairing or anything, I just think it would be fun to see everyone ending up alone after all they've been going through.
Oh noes! why did Li-ren cut his hair in that nerdy way!?? *dies* The way his hair was before made him more bishie...>_<....
Concerning Quinza...unexpectedly I didn't really hate the guy [ might be the Koyasu Takehito effect :X:X ] ...R.I.P. for him.
After I was just really starting to not hate Quinza too..this episode made me seriously cry when he died. He was such a difficult character to understand. Even though you knew how Quinza really felt, the things he said made you think otherwise. It really screwed with your head, as it should have. Even in the end he was trying to take all the blame, but I guess Lumati saw through a bit of it. I'm glad Lumati and Najayra were there with him before he died.
yamakasi said: I don't know why I expected anything more from her. After all -- and Kajika said it herself -- she's the annoying kind of person who loves love.
Ah, another one who doesn't like her.
At least she's honest. Can't really blame her for liking a bunch of powerful, good-looking guys being after her.
Quinza's dying took way too long. *boring*
And seriously: WTF. Yeah, you killed a few dozen, but you did it for your king, so it's OK and we all forgive you. Yay.
I guess not many felt for Quinza, huh. The moment Quinza talked with Najayra, my tears were already piling up, then when he stabbed himself and Najayra not allowing others to come close to Quinza and Rumaty, I cried. He, for me, is one of the best character in the whole series, especially at the end, where he feel sorry for what he have done, but did not regretted it, and hope for the best of Rumaty, wishing that Najayra and maybe Somand would help him(Rumaty) out
The first half was really good.
Koyasu Takehito did a wonderful job with Quinza, then again he always does a wonderful job with all the characters he voices.
Najayra came out of nowhere in that Quinza/Rumarty scene though.
I kind of feel bad for Rumarty but he can do better than Kajika.
noteDhero said: Also, was it just me, or did Somand seem touched in the head at the end of the episode?
The fuck is this comment? Of course Somand wasn't right in the head.
God I wish I was here in 2010 so that I could reply to comments like these and still be relevant.
It got real fast. No bullshit. No compromise.
Takehito Koyasu steals a show again.
Always like Kajika. Sure, this last arc is all about royals and Quinza.
But the first half Kajika is gold. She's straightforward. She always knows what she likes. She understands her own feelings. (not regarding Li-ren though, but their love needs hardship to mature anyway)
WOWOWOW Kajika sugoiiii.
No beating ab the bush ha.
Too bad for Rumaty his second choice for Empress (Quinza) is already dead I wonder what his 3rd choice would be
Hard to feel bad for Quinza. His reign of terror was to root out the rot, but apparently 1 blown up helicopter would have sufficed, no need to revoke all social securities and institute detention camps. He had so much power he could have just guided Somand to the right path instead while getting rid of the bad influences.
Judged by the law, kind of assumed they changed for the worse in the last 2 years...
So did Somand abdicate or was he never really the king at all?
For Quinza, I don't know, I feel like the biggest punishment is make him suffering by stay alive. But on the other hand I also agree that giving Quinza the right to die was the right decision.
He took his own life.... and Sezun became a priest :( Sezun is a good person, indeed.
After Eugene, now Rumaty. I think the next episode is Carl who has to be ready to be rejected. So I thought, isn't this a little cruel? Harry basically made Kajika met these 3 men only for the men to be rejected in the end. I know that they fell in love with Kajika because of Kajika's personality but if Kajika hadn't been told about these 3 "different" men, maybe Kajika wouldn't have even noticed their presence as potential husbands :( And why does Li-Ren seem so angry in the preview? It must have something to do with the Fang group and Kajika right....
Also I want to give applause to the mangaka because Kajika changes clothes very often. And all her clothes were so fashionable and beautiful, especially the dress in this ep... it made her looked like a sweet and graceful young lady.
Last but not least, oh my God... Li-Ren in a suit and different hairstyle made me automatically pause it and take a deep breath, omg. :"D
