| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Interesting, it was a thrilling episode that includes a car accident as well. Damn, that is one long fall... As medical students, I like how they decide to operate on the victim right on the spot. It shows their skills and while it's risky, it also gives shows their experience and using what they've learned. Didn't really find Maiko's anxiety to be surprising given where they are. The PTSD reaction from the patient was a bit chilling imo. Hyakki's true personality is starting to show a bit.. |

| Most intense epsiode yet....Those doctors were cunts but man Hyakki toook things a little too far imo I can already tell that this arc is not going to and well at all and that death for somebody is around the corner :( |
| Damn Hyakki went batshit crazy. He was seriously doing some horror movie shit in this episode. I like how Hazama continues to show how little he cares about morality and consequences when he made the decision to operate on the dude right at that moment, despite not having a license and still being a student. |

| That actually felt more intense than the manga, I was feeling a bit squeamish, especially at Sabame's leg getting cut off, and all the blood with Tatara's emergency surgery. What a nightmare. YBJ has turned into horror. Even though what the other doctors did to Hyakki was disgusting, I mean they wanted him to die, but Hyakki is definitely going to the point of no return. I doubt he was planning it from the start, as the accident with Sabame was really an accident. But after seeing the detached arm, I think Hyakki decided to take that "opportunity" that was before him, and went with the idea of cutting off the other people's limbs. I don't think he's thought of the repercussions for doing this either, but maybe he doesn't care. |
| This episode is so intense. the plot is so predictable but i still enjoy it and it was getting interesting too overall. i feel bad for Hyakki's wife. Their marriage get canceled because of something horrible. 2 arms gone and 1 leg gone, Hyakki.......he became a monster. |

Damn... it's hard for me to feel sorry for those doctors. They kinda deserved it.  However, what Hyakki did was definitely wrong. There's no way he can return to his old surgeon life back and be with his fiancee after this, which is really sad.  |

| And suddenly all the blood and gore we didn't see in the war episodes are in this one. Very nice, I like it. This episode was so intense, it was even better than last week's, and definitely the best one so far, I'm already anxious for the next week's. Hyakkimaru has gone insane, but honestly, can we blame him? Of course his actions aren't ones to be praised, but those guys deserved what they got, I can't bring myself to feel bad for them. I actually feel bad for Hyakki, he's really gone to a point of no return. |
| I thought he was going to use that limbs, but it seems like he took them just for revenge, gosh that would be cool if he would be able to use his hands again. But I guess it would be a little bit sci-fi. Still a really good episode. 5/5 |

| So the first death was just an accident...but then the second was intentional attempted murder, and finally full blown murder with Fish-eyes. And goddamn that was pretty gruesome. Pretty funny to see Spider-head in the hospital with normal hair. That explains the bizarre spider-hair, likely gel. I wonder if Yu-gi-oh uses the same brand? Why only take one leg instead of both? At any rate, I thought he was going to use them, but then the more I thought about it, it seems highly unlikely as transplanting limbs wasn't even possible/successful until the 90's, and even then they would have had to be compatible with blood types and whatnot; both of which was impossible for the time period this is set in. So it seems to be simply a modus operandi in his crimes for his revenge. Looks like everything will end in the next episode with the final showdown...or at least I hope so, because there are only two freaking episodes left! I wish it was a full 24-episode season; that would have been more than satisfying. |

| I almost forgot I was watching YBJ, for a moment I thought I was watching a slasher/horror film. Damn those doctors all have funky hair styles from Hyakki to Takara but Takara's hair looked normal while he was lying in the hospital bed, imagine all the hair gel it took to keep up with that hairstyle. Speaking of other characters popping up in Osamu Tezuka's works, Hige Oyaji "Ban Shunsaku, the detective in Metropolis showed up in today's episode. :D |

| This arc is the best. Hyakki became crazy and he killed all the bad doctors. They planned his accident, I can't feel pain for them. Nice cliffhanger :). WTF with the nose of the policeman. |

| I liked this show when it ventured in the theme of war and seemed real. This right now about an ex doctor who lost his limbs and has prostheses in place going around killing people just seems so far fetched. I don't think the show should've jumped around like that. First some episodic themes, then Vietnam, then the story about the black man and then suddenly this Hyakki storyline. The show lacks consistency. |

| Maiko asserting her position over Hazama as an intern and failing to do better than him ended up making my eyes roll once again. I know that she has the guy's best interests in mind since what he's doing is illegal but damn. The similarities to the original Dororo anime has reached its peak and as over-the-top things have become, I am very intrigued. I can't wait to see what happens next! |
