| Oh this was some serious badassery. I love Haumen no Mono voice and look. Did not like its design at first but now when we got look at this foxie bird in action it was great. And dat stare. Just like my guinea pig if you dont give her enough food :D that bit with hair occured to me too. Maybe Jinmei mother knew something more about dark arts and knew she needed to die? Or maybe she had just given up. I also like how Ushio holds little spear in his hands, maybe this will inspire blacksmith into forging spear instead of the sword. All is well done, only one bit bothers me. I am starting to get lost in timeline, thought Tora was sealed 500y ago. Now we got loot at how Hakumen was fought and forced into retreat 800+- y ago. And now we are what , 2000 years back into the past? And in the past they talk about how Hakumen no Mono destroyed capital 500y ago. So what does it do, runs around the world and destroys countries when it feels like it? And I guess I have missed some numbers :D anyone here who could list all years that we know about spear's creation and hakumen no mono fights? |

| Hakumen always gave off a malicious aura in the manga, and they've managed to perfectly capture it. Makes me real hyped for later parts. |

| Interestingly leap time, there is a lot more story to tell you this makes it more interesting watching the anime. The thing I do not like it, it's still growth character of Ushio, it remains a kid without common sense. The evil Hakumen, I imagined more ugly, but its impressive character design makes it still chilling in its expressions. I think that not enough just the hair, to make a spear invincible against Hakumen, brother Jie Mei, did not say the whole truth. |

| I like the tones used in this series.. really underlines the emotions and tension that is going on. Seems like I have a better unds of why the Hakumen is protected with a barrier, especially since they lacked the Beast Spear in the past. Next week shld be interesting! Love it when they end it like that. |

| That's such a dark past. I feel pretty bad for all the people who lived at that time, but especially for Ushio and Tora who got to experience the terrors of Hakumen Mono in his prime. That monster is truly terrifying, I can feel it too, damn. RIP father and the mother. :( |

| Well that escalated damn quickly. Epic episode though. Yeah i got the feeling he had to put a persons life in there or something but he only said the hair as a compromise. I guess he thought with the hair it would be good enough to win over the others and have his father gain his status back. He never thought about actually killing that monster. |

| I'm sure they'll get around to it, but I really want it to be said that Hakumen No Mono disguises itself and then feeds harmful advice to rulers to subject their people to nonstop misery. It destroys countries by slow manipulation, hence all its female disguises. The manga revealed that way earlier, so in the anime, it looks like Hakumen just destroys with power, which isn't as interesting. Also, the subs really sucked in this episode. I had to read the manga and go back to then fully appreciate it, since then I could see everything that was mistranslated and left out. |

| And I was right about what Ushio's mother and all her ancestors did, they are keeping Hakumen no Mono trapped, not protecting him like all the stupid yokai think. |
