| Wow this episode. Have strength Megumi! So not only do Souma and her have great chemistry, they also actually do appear to complement each other as chefs in arms to an extent rather than her completely riding on Souma's success, but then again she's been barely hanging on and complementing doesn't have to equate with equal skill, so we'll see how she develops. Although, I'm not sure how I'd feel if they were to win this directly without some sort of technicality, or a tie. It's nice to see the other alumni also detest Shinomiya. By approving of this shougeki, they can see him be challenged while also observing and gaining a better gauge on the skills and potential of Souma and Megumi. |

| lol the sailor moon parody this episode was intense otherwise. i hope megumi really delivers and it's not portrayed as souma carrying her to victory. i wanna see the other characters flourish as well. but regardless i hope she wins either way! |

| Inui was absolutely adorable constantly jeering at Shinomiya and annoying him with the most pointless things out of support for Megumi. The other alumni chipped in at teasing him because of his really rough personality and that was really funny as well. Shinomiya made a magnificent French home dish and wowed every alumni despite their slight dislike for the arrogance of the person who made it. It looked like it would be the end for Megumi and Soma judging from the judges' initial reactions to the rainbow-colored aura emanating from the Tadokoro Dokoro Terrine 2.0 gives me a very good feeling about her chances. It was really fun seeing Megumi take the lead for once and Soma helping her out in any way he can without overshadowing her. |

| Refreshing seeing Megumi take charge of the collaboration between her and Souma for once, and it was also cool too seeing Soma calm her down after she had a near mental breakdown regarding the nervousness of the whole situation and her cooking journey in the Academy hanging by a thread as she battles one of the best chefs Totsuki Academy ever produced. But to have a cookoff against one of the best in the business and bring out the best dish you could have produced definitely is an exciting prospect to watch. Also love how she chose the Terrine, the dish she did a great job with before but still failed in. Time to avenge herself with what failed her before. |
