@MeanMrMusician I was given the same advice like that too, before. It's just that it is a little bit hard for me to make a habit out of it.

Thanks for answering by the way. I'll be more mindful of it whenever I practice from now.

@UpperCat The only thing I can really tell you is, when you're changing from one chord to another, try taking your fingers off early before going to the next chord. Conversely, though, if you're going between two chords that have a note in common, focus on leaving that finger there while you transition.

I'm not a guitar teacher, but I hope that's helpful for you!

I've been playing guitar in my spare time for almost a year now but my playing is still sloppy and has a lot to be desired. Whilst the amount of buzzing and muted notes has decreased significantly, I sometimes still stutter at changing chords from one shape to another. Obviously, you have to practice a lot to get better but anyone here has tips to share to increase the efficacy? like some kind of routine/exercise to increase my fingers' dexterity or should I just go practice and play as many songs as possible?

There are a lot of questions I want to ask related to guitar playing but I will start with those first.

@mwinner Bassists are guitarists as well! Now I need to make a favorite bassists thread.
