Juu Ou Sei

It has a similar storyline (judging by the first episodes)... a boy who gets out of his home town or planet and goes to another place with 'strange' people and wants to go back home but finally takes the role he is destinated to have 

Plot wise (esp sci-fi elements), these two shows are somewhat similar: both shows start with main character wakes up in a vastly different and dangerous environment than the place they used to live. Through the course, they gradually adapts to it and learns the skills to live. Later, some organizations revealed that both main characters have the special ability that they need for mankind to survive the future. In the end, those shady organizations got out of control and destroyed by their own creation, the main characters end up living in the planet they adapt to. Also both shows mainly have two parts, either a different focus in Blue Gender or a time skip in Jyu-Oh-Sei, where the two parts are quite different from the previous part. Blue Gender is geared towards male viewer with strong mecha and military element, while Jyu-Oh-Sei is more towards female viewer with some dramas and more appealing character design. Both speaks about a young boy accused of murder which it didn't make. He's send in a prison where there's many deaths. There's allies which become traitors but there's only one girl who will make all for him. Really much of similarities, but these two animes are just excellent ;) 

I had the same feeling while watching Jyu oh sei even though they have different plots. Both are sci-fi anime about an the future. Thor is just like Kiba. Wolf's Rain is much better though. 

Both are about a world where man must fight against the sentient Earth and plant-life for survival. Both spend most focus in the wilds and a medieval-like setting, but occasionally break away to show brief moments of highly futuristic technology as well. And finally, both feature a main character with a mop of hair as white as the snow. 

Both have sci-fi and a sort of futuristic feeling. Both involve as main protagonists, a lively girl who loves the main protagonist (a white haired boy) and that boy makes a sort of "best friend" where they are always together, and the three of them try to find out the truth behind the mysteries involving their home planet/city.  

Thor Klein and Teito Klein (no relation) are alike in that they both have their worlds ripped from under them at an early age. From then on, it's a treacherous journey to uncover the truth and get back at the one responsible. 

-In both anime people live away from Earth and they view Earth as something amazing. -Both MC have silver hair and light skin -MC are thrown into new world they need to get used to. Other than that, the new worlds are quite different and so are the characters they meet. 

Similarities: *There are futuristic worlds *There are time skips *Good character development *There are secret plans in the government *Tragedies occur *Shows the reality of what would happen in a situation: miracles aren't common *There are bits of romance *The ending is bittersweet Differences: *Shinsekai Yori has super powers of sorts *Jyu Oh Sei has monstrous plants *Shinsekai Yori takes place in a futuristic Earth *Jyu Oh Sei takes place in the future on a different planet 

Survival games in jungle. Love story, friendship and betrayal etc. Also bad 'plot balance': slow start, then nice dynamic series and strange last series. 

Both are survival, action anime where: Shingeki no Kyojin - Titans vs. Humans Jyu Oh Sei - Plants vs. Humans And they take place in different worlds. 

Both worlds taken over by nature 

Although they have incredibly different storylines and settings, the pacing and character development in both Gurren Lagann and Jyu Oh Sei could probably be both thrown in the "super fast paced shonen" category. So, they seem very shonen-like, though because of their shorter length's compared to usual shonen's the plots progress extremely fast and things just get straight to the point, which can be a great thing. Young main characters coming of age rising to the top, various time leaps, solid action and animation, interesting plot twists, etc. It's all there. 

Well, though the plots are quite different, i found the main idea in both animes very similar Cool lead guy forced into a new setting and affected by a series of weird events forced to adjust in the new surroundings, learning of new worlds, new cultures, new kingdoms and rules Both animes are filled with action scenes, many cool fights, a lot of running away Both Thor and Zed are pretty much alike in their stubborn~childish yet cool kinda way they both become pretty famous upon appearing in the new world little by little they both become strong in their fields, and rise to the top, where their ultimate goal dwells Plus, they both have cool gray hair~ If you liked Kiba, give Jyu Oh Sei a shot [and vise verse] read more 

Jyu Oh Sei and Guin Saga are very similar in the sense that both of the stories' characters resemble a character from the other. Both series are based on survival of the fittest, and are full action packed adventures leaving you with the wanting for more after every episode. 

in both the main chracter is brought to a new place with a different logic and rules. both main chracters later become leaders. both seriess are great and underatted  

The original story line for both of these shows were written by the same magnaka, and while the plots are completely different (one takes place in the future on a different world and the other takes place in the present in a different country), you'll find similar charismatic tendencies in both of the main leads. 

Both anime show story's development at different times and mystery disclosed at the very end. Also these ski-fi movies contain scenes of bloody fights 

the idea behind it is the same, some kids/teenagers must survive in a changed/another world being targeted by several enemys. 

Both are survival based series with a main character finding themselves in a very precarious scenario out of a random area they don't really recognize and they must try to learn how they got their and try to get out as well too. 

both share alot of bishies in it and quite a bit of action and moments of edge in it as well too. 

The movie and the show does involve staples of a sci fi concepts, like cryo sleep, immoral human experiments, as well as small humber of people, trying to survive the harsh environment. 

Both are great anime filled with twists and surprises, and backed by an appealing storyline. The characters are all intense and accompany a fluctuating, fast-paced plot. 

There both set in the future and both has great action sceans. 

Both anime has a main character who goes on a jounry in a diffrent reality then what there use to and fines people they can trust and people who want to kill them. Plus they both have a goal they acomplish and a goal they dont.  

There an essence of brotherly love expressed in both series. Each of the elder sibling goes through trails towards other goals while experiencing hardships that will test their very sanity.  

Both are survival shows that love to compare and contrast two completely different settings. With Jyu Oh Sei, the show jumps back and forth between futuristic civilization and savage jungles. Whereas Kurozuka alternates between Feudal Japan and post-apocalyptic society. 

Both are set on the future, where people can travel in the space. Both involve attacks of alien beings (the varja in MF and Alien plants in JOS), also both deal with experiments on one of the main characters. There is also a love triangle.  

Both give you the same feeling. Its about life in the future in a dystopian world. Very beautiful art in both.  

Same idea, kids are sent to a diffrent planet and somehow manage to surivive 

Sci-fi shoujo anime is rare, but at least what does exist is pretty good! While They Were Eleven! and Jyu Oh Sei are works from different decades and there are many stylistic differences, they're solid classics of the genre. Both have intricate worlds despite their short lengths, and their similar focus on character relationships just as much as battles or adventure will make them appeal to the same audience. 

Both are similar in their structure, length, and style. Both are set in the far future and share several plot elements. 

The main character gets transported into another world. 

The initial premise is almost identical: A group of privileged kids are no longer wanted and get discarded on a foreign planet. From there on, they have explore the planets, figure out how to survive, solve the mystery of why people want them dead - and somehow try and get back home again. Along the way, they'll struggle to survive, encounter betrayal and love - and fight against the lies and deceit that got them exiled in the first place. And as a bonus, both stories are complete with their 11/12 episodes! In short, if you liked one of the series, you'll surely enjoy the other one too, though the premise is executed a bit differently in the end.  read more 

I guess you can say that the art is pretty similar, and somewhat the characters are too.
