Terra e... (TV)

It has a similar storyline (judging by the first episodes)... a boy who gets out of his home town or planet and goes to another place with 'strange' people and wants to go back home but finally takes the role he is destinated to have
Jyu Oh Sei has the great story behind it. We're stranded on this planet out in the middle of nowhere, now we have to survive. Jyu Oh Sei makes me think of Terra because of the futuristic setting and detail to characters. Both of these shows deserve to be watched.

Even from the first few episodes of Terra e, I am brought back to the beginning of Jyu-Oh-Sei. The illustrations appear a little similar, and Soldier Blue has the approximate appearance of Thor with red eyes.
But Jyu-Oh-Sei has fewer episodes and therefore moves at a faster pace. However, both anime are breath-taking in that they are set in worlds that have convincing histories as backbones and a diverse cast of characters that grow and develop realistically.
Terra e & Jyu Oh Sei are both animes of the type "looking for the better future, having/finding the hope".
Terra e and , as I can recall, Jyu Oh Sei, have some dramatic music which pull the show on a higher level.
Both of them have a fast pace in the beginning, where the story of many years is wrapped in episode or two. I would prefer Jyu Oh Sei for a smaller number of episodes though.
Terra e is more of a Science fiction and Jyu Oh Sei is more like a fantasy genre.

Both follow a boy in a dystopian sci-fi universe in which he is cast from society and rises to lead others who have been cast out.
