Both story revolve around a schools literary club. The members work on building relationships with each other and the style for the characters is similar.

The main characters in both series are attempting to figure out their goals in life, but also find themselves dealing with situations most high school students don’t deal with. Both young men are in a romantic relationship with a female of their own age which helps to shape the direction they plan to take their lives after high school.

Both are about a boy in a very similar love triangle, and both give you a "lesson" feeling.

Both are really beautiful and it'S story is definitely amazing but also confusing you.

Both Anime draw inspiration from "Night on the Galactic Railroad". Both deal with dark events in the characters lives and tragedy.

Ever get the feeling a particular series is something those of another series would be into? An odd tie in, yet Otome Nadeshiko Koi Techou reads - or more of, watches, like a series which the characters of the Bungaku Shoujo movie would get into regarding their literary club. Of course, regarding Bungaku Shoujo, the series draws upon the literary crowd in the first place, so the other work which contains various literary tropes one would expect from a work of literate would appeal. Add to this, both pieces are on the shorter sides of things.

The feeling exuded by both series may be best described as lovers whose fingers reach out for each other, yet barely touch despite all the hard effort. The two series are dark mood wise, yet mildly so. The characters manage to keep the target audience at the edge of their seat, and yet action really isn't either series specialty. Both series are good for an emotional pull, yet also twists which - while for some may be predictable, end up being an enjoyment for others.

Without being dystopian future, Bungaku Shoujo still has a slight feel that the dystopian narrative brings into play, emotionally pulling in the same manner. Yet, both series, one a dystopian historical-au and the other not have a melody about the plot flow which remains similar. Picture a musical score done for two different movies, yet the two being exact opposites of each other. Despite this, both appeal to the same musical audience. In such these two movies are similar in vein, having a similar narrative feel.

Bungaku Shoujo draws inspiration from the book Night on the Galactic Railroad is derived from, each taking a different spin on said inspiration.

The relationship between Sumomo and Masaharu is similar to the relationship between Konoha and Amano, and yet some of the dynamics are reversed. Each of the characters brings something to the relationship, and balance each other out. The relationships are also mellow in nature, with only mild conflict, making for a sweet slice-of-life piece.

The first episode of Megane and Bunganko Shojo are both about boys who join a literature club because of a girl. :)

Both are poignant and dramatic animes. we see how the characters struggle emotionally and how they overcome their troubles throughout. Overall both very heartfelt :')

They are really similar in a way. The main character in Bungaku is a novel writer, and the main character from Canvas 2 is a painter. It reflects the way they are. Also one of the heroines is a childhood friend from the past in both shows. If you like one you'll most likely like the other.

Similar tone, similar seasonal setting. Romance plot line. Light novel adaptation. Similarly nonsensical story that can still be enjoyed.

Both movies have the same book as their center story:Night on the Galactic Railroad by Kenji Miyazawa In both movies the main character pair plays the role of Cantarella and Giovanni both have tragic storyline. => biggest difference: Bungaku takes place in th modern world and is about a girl who eats books whereas Giovanni no Shima takes place around 1945-1950 + later years, and is about 2 siblings. Both are highly recommendable

Series where an eccentric/quirky girl forcefully make an apathetic/cynical boy join a high school club and drag him into a bunch of shenanigans, where the boy initially makes a big show about how he isn't interested. Eventually the boy realizes deep down how much he enjoyed those antics. Watch the ovas of Bungaku Shoujo before the movie.

Both main characters were found by someone one day. Both main characters fall in love with the person who found them. Both are romance movies.

Both of these series have really sad and dramatic moments that can relate to us in real life, though for Clannad it has more happy and upbeat moments.

What do we hear dozens of times in Bungaku Shoujo? Kampanella, Galaxy railroads, yellow tomato... Yes, the main theme of the movie's plot based on Kenji Miyazawa's books. In chaos and Spring you can see the life of this man, his unordinary point off view on very ordinary things that we never see. Also, in my opinion, the atmosphere of this movies have something similar - lyrical, touching... dreamy. Enjoy.

Both anime have similiar, remarkably beautiful graphics. Thus peering at the characters and landscpaes of one anime will remind you of the other. Shugo Chara!. the original series initially began with light-hearded slice of life and drama scenes like the events in Bungaku Shoujo. Thus, and in other words, the stories, plot line, and illustrations are similiar.

The main character happens to be in a relationship with his senpai that helps him to grow up. The story is dark and both characters have to deal with childhood friendships that have problems to the relationships.

Both Anime deal with classic Japanese literature, one with adaptations of the classics and the other very much inspired by one of the classics. The twists built into the series are unique.

Both anime deal with trying to block off the bad memories, someone whose committed suicide, a bit of romance and growing up.

A character from one of the main character's past wants to bring back lost memories to change things, but ends up causing trouble creating a nice story line with angst.

Both Anime deal with a writer, their stories and life in general and how their stories match up to life or don't, but also how stories make them grow as people.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
The main characters in the series deal with friendship problems where one friend ends up in the hospital, and they find themselves dealing with the repercussions. The repercussions take different routes from each other, and explore differing character faucets. Specifically, the main characters find their feelings of guilt manipulated by another who is jealous for differing reasons. Said manipulations aren’t without repercussions.

Both Anime feature a dark haired girl who "eats" books so to speak. Both deal with how books are created and what is important about life and what is happiness supposed to be.

A group of child hood friends have to deal with a tragedy that occurred when they were younger. What draws the viewer in for both is the varying healing process each of the characters goes through as the series progress. This allows the high school students to move on with their lives.

Both Anime take a classic from literature and put a new spin on them. One adaptation is more liberal and farther from the original. However, but both feature romances with literary ties that deal with star crossed lovers,

Boy & Girl pair of doing detective things (both girls are smarter than the guys to solve the case). Both are mystery genre, not detective genre.

The job of a writer is to tell the stories and bring people back to life. Both main characters deal with similar situations and growing up.

The stories about two "story tellers" who record the adventures of their lives in the stories they tell. One is more fantastical while another is more realistic.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Both anime are high school romance dramas in which the male protagonist has trouble dealing with his past love.
