Wait what rerelease of DS Castlevania? Is it the one with the cover everyone memes on?
But then again, I'm kind of a hipster~ :P
What other games have you played?
I need to play that game soon!
do you like Nintendo DS games too?
from the early 80s to late 2000s ?
Hello Felicia from Greece. I just clicked the helpful button in your Shinsekai yori review. I'm on episode 8 (I guess) and I also feel disappointed. Does it even get a little bit better?
Have a good day.
PS. Haibane Renmei for the win!
nice to see another greek member on here ^_^
I really need to watch Monster it seems. I also think the setting is highly interesting. I have never been to Europe, but it is always different to see a more western location as the focus. Weirdly enough, my second time attempting Monster was after watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I don't know why I immediately connected those too. I really enjoyed the grisly yet human nature of the side character stories in SAC. I guess Monster kind of fulfills that too.
Well regardless, I want to make it a priority to watch! Though the amount of episodes is something that has daunted me. :P
By the way, I saw Monster in your favorites. I tried watching that when I was like 15 or 16, and stopped. Then tried watching it a few years ago, and got distracted. I know a lot of people LOVE it, so I think it's well worth the watch, probably. Especially since I like the genre. Why do you like it?
Honestly, I don't think I appreciate Haibane Renmei fully when I first watched it. I suppose I wasn't in the right mindset for that genre at the time. But that and Maria-sama do have quite a unique appeal. They make you question what will happen next, but it's hardly ever out of heavy conflict. Sure there's drama between characters at times, but I feel like the mystery aspect is mostly good-natured throughout.
Haibane Renmei does have those psychological aspects as you've said, though! And those parts with the wings....looked painful >___<
Forgot how much I liked it til now! Did you have any other Maria-sama-esque recommendations? haha
The first of Mouryou no Hako is totally a horror version of Maria-sama!
I just never saw the last season of Maria-sama now that I think about it. The first three were really great though. I'll probably re-watch them sometime.
