I can't see how you can call koe no katachi unrealistic, I thought all have the characters action and mindsets were pretty understandable especially ishida. Furthermore it's not a retcon cause it doesn't serve as a sequel to the one shot, it has it's own set up.

I approve of your "Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou" review. On spot with the critisicm, and also a bit of fresh air with the writing style

More reviews, please.

Hands down to your review of Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou! Although I did laugh in some situations, I definitely agree that romance is nowhere to be found in this series.

Indeed, koe na katachi was really disappointing in last few chapters.

I found it difficult to put my finger on just what exactly bothered me about Koe no Katachi, but your review sums it up perfectly. I still love it all the same in spite of its glaring flaws, though I'm a bigger fan of the one-shot. Thank you for helping me to navigate my feelings towards the series.

True, I think I'm too nice sometimes

"Avatar" is a rip-off of anime. It was made to look like an anime. It was planned that way from the beginning, but it's rather poorly-made, cheap copy.

While "Prince of Egypt" wasn't planned to look like an anime. It was planned to be a good cartoon, and that's why it is so anime-like, because majority of anime (or at least ones that are well-known) had creators who aspired for great quality from the beginning.

Furthermore, "Avatar" copies only the visible, easy aspects of anime, i.e. superpowers and crazy face expressions.

While, "Prince of Egypt" has greatness concentrated on well-developed characters, a deep story, and unexpected developments (unless you know Bible, that's like a big spoiler).

Thank you for your Koe no Katachi review.
It's the only one worth reading for that manga.

You didn't really address what I said, lol. I was saying that many people that like Lucky Star don't recognize the vast majority of the references, but still like the show. So their enjoyment isn't tied into nostalgic feelings of some 80's anime.

Lucky Star was one of my first few anime, and at that point everything I watched was new and amazing. If I watched it now, without knowing the general opinions of it, I don't know how I would feel to be honest. But I know that at the time I really did enjoy it, and that was without getting any of the references aside from Haruhi (which was pretty much just product placement for another one of the studio's shows). I have a few friends who have watched it without really watching much anime, and they enjoyed it for the characters and their interactions. I think there is more to Lucky Star than /just/ references. (Like you said in your review, most of them are very obscure. The average western fan isn't even going to recognize the reference, but yet the show is still really popular). I'm not really arguing anything against your review, because I agree that references do not equal jokes, but there must be something more to the show for people to think it is funny or relatable even without understanding the references.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
