Both are about a Student Council with all girls save one boy, whom they are often giving a hard time.

Being a parody show, seitokai no ichizon is made with the full awareness of lucky star. The first episodes steals a few screens from lucky star as the show is fully expecting the viewers to cross over. To not have seen LS is to miss the very language of the show and its references.
report Recommended by Shin_Gettererv
The cast in both series consist of a club with mainly female members and one male member. This male member gets teased a lot by these female members. GJ-bu's humor is even more innocent and cute than that of Seitokai no Ichizon, however.

Both are probably the most random anime I've ever seen. Great school slice of life comedy, though Baka to Test has some supernatural elements.
report Recommended by Samu-tan
Both are about club activities with 1 guy and multiple girls.
report Recommended by KaminaKai
Both Anime have similar styles and surround a school group that contains a harem. The characters also have similar personalities to each other.

Being the famous anime that Haruhi is, there's no harm in watching Haruhi before jumping into Seitokai no Ichizon, which is filled with otaku jokes and parodies. There are Haruhi references too.
report Recommended by MayucchiYukie
Similar comedy, characters and harem. Both take place at school, but KoreZombie has more scenes out there and also supernatural things.
report Recommended by Frezlaj
A club composed of mostly girls, a tortured guy, and possibly a harem. Both almost have the same kind of comedy and are very lighthearted and funny.
report Recommended by HRinka
Both are heavily reference based; if you like parody you'll definitely want to check out Hayate no Gotoku.
report Recommended by aminorsus2
A colorful bunch of students (high school in Seitokai, college in Genshiken) who spend much of their time in a clubroom. Slice of Life comedies with plenty of parodies. Genshiken is a lot more subtle, though.
report Recommended by Keirik
Both of the male leads have the reputation of being a pervert, although for different reasons. As it turns out, both male leads are really nice guys, although the rumors aren't totally unfounded either.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Although the premise is different, both series involves a main male protagonist in a school life environment where he gets caught up with a group of girls with conflicting personalities. Despite this though, the girls becomes fond of him. There's a lot of comedy present in both anime through the usage of gags and dialogues. Additionally, the main male protagonist often makes comments that makes the girls view him as a 'pervert'. However, they are deep down gentle and wishes to help others when they are in trouble.

They're both written by the same author. The way the characters feel and behave is similar so if you like this show, you'd definitely like Seitokai no Ichizon.
report Recommended by legwkio
Hard level of comedy maintained with wholesomeness. The difference is, one is a romantic comedy (Kaguya-sama) and one is a harem (Seitokai no Ichizon). Both also have main casts as student council member

Just like this series, Zetsubou Sensei has many many hidden anime parodies.
report Recommended by Sereeney
they both have the same comedy and they are both harem. very funny and really. both main characters are both perverts in a way. but it's really funny.!
report Recommended by shana_luvs_yu
The same most-of-the-plot-occurs-in-the-same-room kind of anime.Although,Joshiraku looks more of a traditional japanese anime on the other hand seitokai no ichizon is a modern japanese anime.
report Recommended by TragicRomance
These two are really similar with their short random skits, and relaxed, funny atmosphere. A group of girls (with the exception of Seitokai no Ichizon having one male in the group) with distinct personalities always onto something funny to add to their high school days, thanks to their energetic leader.

School Anime's dealing with student councils and voting processes to some degree.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Both of these Anime are about student councils run by girls with at least one member selected through popular vote. They also are humor based and slice of life.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Both shows revolve around daily life in a high school club. The shows don't have any particular stories. Just chatter among the club members and the events almost always take place inside the club room.
report Recommended by shinigamidono
I think they got similar atmosphere ... Like seitokai no ichizon is in this council room and Working!! is in family restaurant. There are also similar characters like Tanashima is similar to Kurimu or Sugisaki is similar to Takanashi ... in their own way. Also has other characters which are alike.
report Recommended by Poeticas
Chocolat and Mafuyu are both blonde-haired bishoujo who ship the male lead with other boys.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Romantic comedies (or comedies with romance) where the protagonists view the world as a dating sim.

Students at high school is making funny, random things together.
report Recommended by Stromoror
Harem anime with amazing art that have sibling yin-yang, meaning there are two girls in the harem that are sisters yet they have completely different personalities.
report Recommended by shigeru212
This anime is similar to seitokai no ichizon in the points that; The story is about spending days in a school. They are both really funny and make you laugh.
report Recommended by hacker09
Both animes parody other anime, including very brief yet entertaining skits about the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Ken Sugisaki, the male lead from Seitokai no Ichizon, is much funnier and more likable than his counterpart Mahiro Yasaka, from Haiyore! Nayaruko-san. All in all, both shows have biting comedy, copious amounts of parodies, attractive characters, and a catchy OP and ED. If you liked one, then you should like the other.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Ken and Momo are both trying to build a harem. The difference is that Momo is trying to build a harem (with her in it) for Rito, while Ken is trying to obtain one for himself.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Both are harem club anime that can be entertaining and funny. Seitokai no Ichizon is much more potent and memorable because of the awesome male lead and the biting parodies.
report Recommended by shigeru212
It is the student council, again. Except this time, they are absolutely useless and do nothing but make gag jokes with their flamboyant personalities while breaking the 4th wall. Minatsu really reminds me of Riko
report Recommended by Mythical_Truth
Both are extremely funny parodies of other anime series . If you like Setokai no Ichizon, you'll also like Excel Saga.
report Recommended by SailorKagome
These two shows both have members of the student council falling in love with the male main character. They are both extremely hilarious and have no story, making a laid back show that you can watch when you are feeling lazy. The characters themselves are so unique and their personalities make the show itself.

- One male lead with four female leads - Both male leads are otakus to varying degrees - Both male leads are surprisingly reliable when they put their minds to work - Both male leads are at the mercy of the female leads Main difference is that Seitokai no Ichizon is more of a slice-of-life while Saekano has a clear plotline to it.
report Recommended by -Remix-
similarities in both shows. ✓main character who love to fantasize about girls. ✓main characters are members of club in school ✓it contain entertaining romcom story in SNI is focusing more on romcomedy and parody, while in kotoura san has a plot and some drama. enjoy!

InoBato Is Basically Seitokai No Ichizon With Super Power And In a Club Instead Of The Student Council - 4 Girls 1 Guy - Some sort of a crappy flashback with the red haired girl - With the male lead being a complete retard at the begining and becoming serious all of a sudden
report Recommended by Malventrix
Both are about a group of people mostly loafing around in a club, where many of the topics they bring up are random. Seitokai no Ichizon has a male lead with his harem, where on the other hand, Yuru Yuri fully consits of only female leads. Both include lots of comedy.

Monogatari Series is definitely similar to Seitokai no Ichizon. While they are quite different in setting, plot and genre, they do share one big characteristic. Both series are based on the interactions/conversations between its characters. They both use gags and funny situations. Seitokai no Ichizon is centered around a "normal" Student Council, and the show itself is basically a Comedy/Romance series. Monogatari Series definitely have Comedy and Romance as well, however it also has Supernatural, Mystery and a touch of Horror in it. Do note that Monogatari Series is not quite for everyone though. It is quite special, but it's without a doubt among the best  read more

Well, I know that, this is an unlikely pair. But similarity can be traced to the Seitokai i.e. Students council part. Lol. Now in the both student councils we have a eccentric prez, a supposed lesbian, a soft spoken girl and guy trying to hit on the prez. Characters in Code geass are pretty serious whereas Seitokai characters are parodies. Nothing else is similar. So even if you didn't like one of them, it may not effect the other one.

Both MC's are likeable perverts with a heart of gold.
report Recommended by shigeru212
It has a similar harem feel, where the main character is surrounded by cute girls (though in the MMORPG game they play together 2 of the girls hide themselves as men).
report Recommended by willstr88
The characters are VERY similar but since Mangirl! is a short 13 episode series with only around 3 minutes each episode, it is very fast-paced and there is little progress. The mood Mangirl! gives off is less serious than Seitokai no Ichizon.
report Recommended by imouto
Both are otaku comedies based upon light novels. Very similar style of humor.
report Recommended by XanthReborn
Seitokai no Ichizon would be a Student Council version of Saki character plot-wise, as both animes explain a lot in detail of their pasts & experiences together surrounding the main cast. Also there is at least a guy in either of their groups.
report Recommended by MagicFlier
I think that if you liked Seitokai no Ichizon so far you would enjoy Toradora. They are both romantic comedies and they do both have some references to other anime shows.
report Recommended by bookkid900
Both anime are funny and with no plot.
report Recommended by shinki7
Both have a very similar sense of humour and unresolved harem, but Kannagi has more of a storyline.
report Recommended by Reichiru
Both have a group of 4 girls plus a guy and they have some kind of romance. In seitokai no ichizon, the guy (sugisaki) wants all girls and in rosario to vampire, the girls wants the guy (tsukune).
report Recommended by bereta002
Watching Seitokai no Ichizon reminds a little of Clannad. The characters are somewhat similar and both series have great art. If you like Seitokai no Ichizon, there's a good chance you would like Clannad, and visa-versa.
report Recommended by PianoKeys4
The main plot for both are far different, one being about samurai and one about school life. Both of these anime seemed to have the same feel to them, great slapstick comedy, and lots of spoofs and references. both made me laugh constantly, and for the most part are light-hearted, with a few tender moments. 10/10 for both hope you enjoy. <3
report Recommended by AntiIgnorance
Both are (really funny) comedy shows. Though SnI is mostly about a boy trying to create a Harem. Also the art is really similiar. Especially the opening in my opinion. If you liked SnI, you'll like A-Channel aswell and vice versa.
report Recommended by keraito
Hikigaya and Ken may be complete opposites, but they're two sides of the same coin. Most often than not, they do give good advices to their peers, though Hikky does it in a negative way, whereas Ken does it in a positive manner. Both of them work hard behind the scenes too, Ken doing paperwork, and Hikky executing his solutions without Yui or Yukino's awareness. Do give SnI a try, you might actually find similarities between Ore no Seishun and SnI ^o^
report Recommended by Nikko_ni_ni
I am defenetly puting them together because of hilarious parody moments tho the style is really different but I think who would enjoy first would defenetly enjoy the second xD
report Recommended by ShintouX
These two Anime involve the school life and guys surounded by a bunch of girls. The art styles are also simular, and there is a wide range of cast.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
The members of the student council have a lot of chemistry with each other, making for some captivating dialogue.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Well, both of them are funny slice of lives in student council. One guy, several girls. ;)
report Recommended by Saraph
It takes place in a school environment, where the cast is involved in a club/school activities. SKET dance is filled with comedy, and parodies that you'll enjoy. There is character development by revealing each character's past, and how all 3 are connected and came to be... which is similar to Seitokai. So if you loved Seitokai no Ichizon then you'll enjoy SKET Dance.
report Recommended by Mr_DaftPunk
Main male characters are perverts and have a harem which at the same, is not necessarily a harem. Both shows are more focused on comedy, and are hilarious! Fans of one should definitely check the other one out ;)
report Recommended by TragicRomance
If you were the type that paused every 5 seconds to read the blackboard gags, or rewind to catch that flurry of jokes you missed; Seitokai no Ichizon has the same kind of rapid-fire comedy that it shares with Pani Poni Dash
report Recommended by gloomheart
I'm a bit surprised no one ever mentioned this. Both shares a rather similar harem chemistry: The male lead is trying to form a harem route. Both also falls within comedy romance but Seitokai no Ichizon is leaned towards comedy portion more while Kaminomi zo Shiru Sekai take things a bit more seriously.
report Recommended by allflying
A lot of the fanservice takes place in the main character's overactive imagination.
