Both characters are wanting to chase their dreams. One suffers from crippling anxiety the other suffers from a inferiority complex both become to pass the hurdle thats holding them back by a individual who reaches out to them via music. Strong emphasis on the group and their interactions just like Kessoku band and good music to pair with it.

Similarities: * Both have female MCs that want to be in a band * MCs coincidentally meets former musicians/idols that wants to be #1 again * Aired at the same time

Jellyfish Can't Swim In The night reminds me of a more modern K-On, with it being centered around an online anonymous pop group with members comprised of high schoolers rather than a high school rock band. It also goes into more than just song creation, but also marketing, music video production and stuff like that. So far it is an amazing slice of life story that had me smiling the entire time, and also seems like it may have explicit queer rep.

• main character who's a former idol • overarching theme of aquatic animals (in Jellyfish's case it's more metaphorical) • original anime • stunning visuals and above average production values • both shows explore deep relationships between girls, Aquatope focuses on a sisterly bond, while Jellyfish has some romantic subtext

Both have an important character who's a reclusive, tomboyish streamer!

The girls get acquainted as the plot develops, while striving for a dream in the anime D4DC First Mix, their dream is to perform on a huge stage, while winning the audience with their songs, dances and beautiful voice. In the anime Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai, their goal and dreams are almost the same, the differences are to gain 100,000 thousand while captivating the audience so much that everyone would gasp with delight. Unlike the anime Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai in the anime D4DC First Mix perform and play all together for that in the anime Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai  read more

Both series are about girls in similar periods of their lives, in that difficult period of transition to adulthood. Both series use the main cast of girls to explore different perspectives on the feelings and complexities of girlhood and womanhood

There aren't enough words, songs, poems and pictures to capture the youthful minors turning the monotone dark of the night into something intriguing, lively and colourful.

Both shows involve girls who become VTubers after things didn't work out with their previous gigs that ended when they punched one of their co-workers. While both are similar in setup, their approaches are different in that Jellyfish is more drama-oriented and Mayonaka Punch is more of a supernatural comedy. Both are done by studios known for their great artwork and presentation.
